Flash Player enterprise via SCUP deployment / SCCM after changed behavior of download page?

Dear support,

We have a customer with 15000 + computers for which we provide updates Flash Player via SCUP / SCCM.

Our current procedure is that we have download the SCUP catalog where we get the MSI installers, and then we publish those of SCCM and deploy them to Clients.

After reading your announcements here: Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe and here Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe we are not really sure what is the future mode of obtaining and deploying updates and have a few questions:

1.) adobe does offer a SCUP catalog download after the change of the download page (22.01.2016?)

(2.) the SCUP catalog contains links to the MSI installer like so far?

3.) create an Adobe ID for the above steps to work

4.) must request a license to distribute Flash Player in the way described above?

5.) is a factor of cost with getting an Adobe ID or a license or is it free?

Due to the changes in the short term in your Service, I woul be grateful for a quick response so that we can inform our customers.

Best regards

Rolf

Hi rolfhasselbusch,

Adobe will continue to offer the SCUP for Flash Player catalog, after the changes noted in the current page of the distribution.  You will need to download the files when editing an AdobeID.  Answers to your questions:

1.) adobe does offer a SCUP catalog download after the change of the download page (22.01.2016?)

YES

(2.) the SCUP catalog contains links to the MSI installer like so far?

They will continue to include links to the MSI installation programs

3.) create an Adobe ID for the above steps to work

YES

4.) must request a license to distribute Flash Player in the way described above?

YES, distribution requires and always demanded, a license to distribute.  If you do not currently have a license, please apply for a license.

5.) is a factor of cost with getting an Adobe ID or a license or is it free?

It depends because some situations have a cost factor.  If you have any questions, you can contact a representative of Adobe Mobile & devices.  This is noticed in the Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe page.

    Hi all

I found that Adobe has two types of Flash Player - Flash Player for users (you can download it from this site get.adobe.com/flashplayer) and Flash Player for users of the company (you can downoad it fron this site http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html( )

What is the difference between the two applications?

I compare Flash Player for users and Flash Player for users of the company for some parameters:

    1. the data in the registry (this is the same for both apps)

2 hash of the file (all files in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash are the same for both apps too!)

Also, I can't find any documentation on Flash Player for users of the company who can explain its benefits...

Please, maybe someone can help me?

    Hello

The installers downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer are installers of hold that download and install Flash Player silently in the background.  These require the intervention of the user and cannot be installed in silent, or distributed mode through mechanisms such as Active Directory or SCCM, Apple Remote Desktop software distribution, etc.

Available on the distribution page files are for enterprise customers who want to distribute Flash Player within their organization.  These can be installed without user interaction and can be distributed through mechanisms such as Active Directory, SCCM, Apple Remote Desktop software distribution, etc. Corporate customers apply for a (usually free for most use cases) distribution license and then receive an email with a unique URL to download the files from.

  • Adobe Flash Player not display videos on YouTube after some point - black screen only

Hello. I have a problem with Flash Player on YouTube. It crashed it many, many times so I decided to open this thread to let you know on this subject, if you do not already know.

Now, I have no report of accident or something it crashes after a while. Even if it does not crash report, I understand because YouTube videos do not work and I had only a black screen. When I tried to close (click on 'X' in the top right) Firefox, he refuses to close with a few clicks. I can only close with the combination of keys CTRL + ALT + DELETE and end the process. After I closed Firefox and open the new page, it works fine until I get the same situation.

In addition, I have laptop with these specs:

    Intel Core i5 3210 m

AMD Radeon 7670 m + Intel HD 4000 (with AMD Switchable Graphics called Enduro)

    8 GB Ram

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I don't know what problem is the cause, so I couldn't give you a lot of information. But if you need information, I'll try to help. Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm sorry for the bad English.

Thanks for your reply. I totally forgot the subject, sorry.

I solved the problem, feature hardware acceleration just disabled in the Preferences menu and everything works fine now.

    I installed Flash Player.

I enabled Flash Player in Win7.

Win 7 always asks me to download Fash Player

... what should I do now?

    aland94403730

    Ok.

    Problem solved - just!

Secret is to disable ActiveX filtering.

On an IE browser page click the icon for the sprocket (upper right corner of the screen)

In the menu drop down select 'security '.

Chances are that ActiveX is displayed in a second menu - with a check mark next to it.

Click on ActiveX to turn it off.

    Job done.

Why, oh why, can't be explained when the problem is so well known.

  • Flash Player plugin crasht after update-what to do?

updated the last Flash Player plugin 13.0.0.182 after that the plugin crasht every time when I want to read a video what to do?

I would like to have more information about the problem. However, you are using a Mac OSX operating system?

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1446396

There's a person in this thread in the forum with a username of irdoc who said:

"I'm also unable to get Adobe Flash Player 13 (v. 13.0.0.182) works fine on my Mac, even after using the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller." My previous version (v. 12.0.0.77) works very well, and the only way I can get Flash Player to work is by removing v13, v12 by reinstalling.

    My Mac is a MacPro 1,1... »

It is possible that there is a problem with Adobe Flash player specifically. Have you tried to watch videos with other browsers?

As a warning, I tried to find a safe place to download the 12.0.0.77 version, but I couldn't find one without risk. Be careful if you decide to go this route. Make sure you have at least some form of antivirus and firewall before you try this.

Apparently this problem with Adobe took place April 8 this year, so it's fairly new. In addition, apparently Chrome uses an integrated in flash player which does not have this plug-in. If really you need or want to watch videos, and it is a problem with Adobe, you can use Chrome for now.

  • Why does ' t Flash Player works after I agree for an update from a prompt pop-up from Adobe?

I had problems last year when Flash Player has stopped working suddenly.  After months of searching for help, I received instructions that solved the problem... until the other day.  A pop-up Adobe appeared which indicates an update was available.  I agreed to install the update and the Flashplayer has not worked since.  I returned my notes since the "fix" last year and made an adjustment in the ActiveX settings, but this did not help.  Flash Player still does not work.  Help!  I don't think I can go through this during several months.

  • Flash Player: How to get the automated audit and reporting to work after a failure to update.

I've implemented the program Adobe Flash Player in my computer (Windows 7 64-bit SP1) to check and warn me when there is an update.

I got a notification about a Update April 15, 2013. I had updated the Flash Player program several times with these notifications in the past. This time when I clicked to download the update, it did not download and I got a message on an error.

Since the last update of Flash Player, there are two changes in my computer. IE 10 is new as I installed it with the updates I get from Microsoft. I also installed Norton Internet Security. My guess is that Norton Internet Security do not allow the download to continue and complete.

Later, I found the following entry in my windows logs.

    Log name: Application,.

    Date: 15/04/2013.

Name of the failing application: FlashUtil64_11_6_602_180_ActiveX.exe,.

    version: 11.6.602.180,

    The failed module name: ntdll.dll,.

    version: 6.1.7601.17725,

    Exception code: 0xc0000005.

    Offset: 0x00000000000532d0.

Now, I think I got to stop Norton Internet Security before I run the Flash Player updates.

I have read the Adobe installation issues page " http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html "

and based on the information at this site, I checked and Active scripting in active under websites and trust.

    I have three questions.

    1. why I don't get the notification again? Is there something written in a file or a place I need to clean or remove that control automated and the notification process to rework? What should I do to have automated verification process to work again?

2 if I download the latest version from the Adobe Web site, do I need to uninstall the currently installed version of the control panel-> programs, and then install the new version or the installation of the new version first uninstall the currently installed version? What is the URL "[http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ | ]. http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/ ' [ ] ' to use to get the most recent version?

3 in the Adobe installation issues page, I see the article and the following link: progress bar freezes while downloading / unable to connect to the server / unable to download metafile and the proposed solution is to download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly using the following link. "[http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe | ]. http://download.Macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/Install_flash_player_ax.exe ] "what is the difference between installing a new version (issue No. 2) and the download of the installer? That's what I have to do?

    Thank you.

OK, here's the deal up to people last night using the Internet explorer 8 when you visit a Web site, I maintain when he is able to listen to audio very well via the built-in flash player I have on the view. Anyone who has downloaded the latest updates of 4 security which just launched yesterday are not able to listen to the audio stream at all. I tested on a machine that I had not yet updated when installing updates and of course the drive does not work. I have uninstall updates and things work very well. Tell everyone to uninstall updates or switch to Firefox it will be a fix for this particular problem. I already had more than 300 people to send me an email with the same question today.

    Try using the method below.

If this does not work, please contact Adobe about their product, like Flash made by them:

    Flash:

  • Adobe Flash Player has disappeared from my modules FF & reinstall

Adobe Flash Player has disappeared from my modules FF (version 4.0.1) & not reinstall. Adobe's Test page shows that I managed to install the latest version of Flash Player (10.3.181.34), but after trying this 4 times, Flash refuses to appear in my add-ons/plug-ins and now some websites do not work properly. (With the help of a Win7 Home, 64-bit, 1 MS Office).

Because are different products and load/use/display of different types of files. You either have both installed because you use Web sites that require one or the other, or you don't. Do not worry about the reason why they are named the way they are appointed, it is the decision of Adobe. Just accept the facts and go on with your life.
