  In recent weeks, I had a rash of customers, who have all had problems with Microsoft Windows Update across different versions of Windows.

  Currently, this client is running Windows XP with installed MSE.  Windows Update has the MSE KB2804527 update as an important update, but it fails.

  I tried the recommendations I found in the community, and I tried to run the recommended tool 'Fix It' on it, all this without success.

• OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus backup device settings fails and hangs the printer with the CKP1CN1322CR firmware

  When I was with the built-in webserver (EWS) to perform a backup, I get a message saying: "Year Error Has Occurred" and the printer would just lock up and flash lights and compel me to press the power button on the printer to reset.

  I've done a few shrinking down and discovered that this happens only when the Scan-To-Email are selected to be included in the backup. I then discovered that it only happens when I have the email set to a (compressed) PDF Document Type Options.

  I was able to get the backup to succeed by changing the options of Scan - To - Email Email Type of Document to PDF instead of PDF (compressed), then the backup succeeded.

  In this case with the latest version of the firmware: CKP1CN1322CR.

  Hmm, I tried this on my 8600 more Offcieejt and can confirm the same behavior, even though I have the firmware CLP1CN1322CR.  I'll forward a link to this topic to some folks at HP who can be able to focus on this.

  In the case where you have still questions freezing/accidents along the steps mentioned in this forum, please make sure you keep all your elements of policies at the root of the library itself instead of placing them in the records - as a work around.

  These accidents as well as redundant duplication of elements of the library police have been fixed in Flash CC.

  Hello, I downloaded the demo version of Flash Professional 8 for an assignment, and when I try to open the file that the Professor gave us I get an error that says "Unexpected file Format" I tried almost everything to fix the file but nothing works.  I don't know what version of Flash, the file was originally recorded in.  Can anyone help?

  (2) what are the troubleshooting steps you have tried to solve this problem?

• Cannot type the complete serial number for Flash Pro CS5.5 STUDENTS

  Flash Professional CS5.5 STUDENTS & teachers Edition has several letters at the beginning of the serial number in contrast to the standard versions.  I bought my copy from Amazon.com and I installed my copy once fine before but my computer crashed recently and now I can't reinstall Flash Pro, because it won't let me type in the form of paper letters, only numbers.  I tried typing normally, using shift, by copying and pasting the... nothing.  Is there another way that I can enter the serial number or fix anything that is not letting me type some letters?

  There are two numbers "serial" (product number) who came on the packaging of the product.

  The software is Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 Student and Teacher Edition, purchased from Amazon.com and verification of the required student to get the license.

  I just went through my files that I've recovered from my laptop and it seems that the serial number on the packaging of the product has IN FACT of letters in there.  But I think that I had to register with Adobe and verify that I was a student before Adobe give me my legitimate serial number that contains only numbers.  It's so why there are tons of these discussions about this who aren't ever answered because the people demand and people who help are good and evil at the same time.  Students are trying to use the only series that has been provided, but it isn't the real serial number.  Adobe could perhaps more clear that this is not a serial number of the product below?   "Product code" stands for "Serial number" to most people.

  You use this code (code with letters inside; the "product code") to contact Adobe and check your status of teacher/studen and then they give you the true serial number which is all numbers.  Search your email for mail from Adobe to find your serial number if you have already done this.  I had completely forgotten how the process worked as it was some time ago.

• How to install the latest version of the SDK of AIR (13 or 14) in Flash Pro CS6?

  Hi, I use Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on Windows 7 64 bit and I tried to add the latest Adobe AIR SDK, either 13 or 14, but non of them is considered as an SDK to be valid by Flash.

  I tried two possible SDKs (SDK & compiler and SDK without compiler) to download here: Download Adobe AIR SDK (version 13) and here http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html (version 14). Whenever I copied the SDK file extracted in my Flash CS6 file where default 3.2 and 3.4 software development kits. After that I open Flash, then help > manage Air SDK, click on '+', look for the new folder, and all I get is "the selected folder does not contain a valid AIR SDK" warning message. It looks the same with all four development kits software I downloaded!

  Not so long ago, I added AIR 4.0 without any problem. What I am doing wrong? Is the new SDK Flash CC alone or what?

  It should not matter what you name the file or where you put it as long as you are showing that directly the parent folder contains the software development kit. In other words when you go to the folder you're pointing to, you should see:
