Flex PDF/JPEG graphics conversion

We use Flex in our application. However, we need a way to convert a PDF/JPEG of Flash components (or a SWF in full).

We have created a Flex application that allows users to create their own maps and we will have the possibility to generate a single SWF file for each graph (using the command line compiler).

Is there a way (or ideas about a possible) do * any * these things? --
-Convert a static swf in PDF
-Convert a static SWF file in JPEG, PNG, TIF, etc
-Take a 'screenshot' of a Flex component
-All that would do the job

I looked around for a product that would make all the foregoing, but I can't find anything that could be accessed programmatically (i.e. called via a script).

Thank you to both of you! Exactly what we were looking for. I am try it now and so far it's good. Flex is going to be incredible for us - this will make our development cycle much shorter.

I wish that there is a way to avoid the cost of sending graphic back to the server and the server can send back. However, it is still very convenient, especially with the built-in features of PNG conversion. Has Adobe considered adding PDF conversion utilities (in order to keep selectable text & etc..)?

I can't wait until the final version is available so that we can buy it and get rid of this crazy "Flex Charting Trial" watermark on the charts. It is much more difficult to sell executives on a product/process when the demos have ugly watermarks all over, especially since the watermark isn't scaling and our one inch graph thumbnails each have four-inch watermarks.

In any case, it's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks again.

    Hello

As you say that the reader needs to be repaired, and you have other errors, follow these steps.

If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If not, then run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair damage to the component store,

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - CheckHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - ScanHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - RestoreHealth

Restart the PC afterwards, and then retry the command sfc/scannow .

If still no, then try using ONE OPTION above to run the command sfc/scannow at the start

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the section THREE OPTION to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

  • Invoice PDF and order Conversion to XML/EDI?

    Hello.

My company gets a lot of PDF documents that we enter because they do not come in via EDI.

I wonder if anyone has found a good way to convert PDF documents such as invoices and purchase can be used in EDI orders (IE XML, X 12 TEU). Please do not say use one of the free converters, I tried them and they are not even close to what I need. Also save it as an XML options do no good either.

I'm looking for a "smart" converter, who knows where the data is and can create a XML properly formatted to import in our ERP system. I know that this may be asking a lot, but I thought I'd see if anyone had useful advice or was aware of certain software or services out there for this.

    TIA - Samuel.

I am currently the research myself for my business... There are a few translations out there I found. Try these.

P2E2 - they look good, but are primarily focused on the PDF to Excel conversion. I wasn't able to talk to anyone there.

ChimpKey - they seem to have the presence more regarding the conversion of the invoices & purchase orders. They also do a lot of commercial invoices for brokers. They were quite reasonable for fees and there is no contract to sign.

ConvProSys - they seemed very inexpensive, but I'm still waiting to find out if there is a minimum period of contract to be signed + installation costs.

    I hope that helps out.

Then you are at the mercy of your operating system and its file system. Why not suggest to your customer that they PAY FOR a DATABASE of REAL as apposed to using the free option which is NOT REALLY designed for what you need to use...

Store pointers in the database (information network folder) compared to store the ACTUAL documents in the database is a useless way to solve the problem. It has more ground in recent years on asktom.com and pretty much been proven...

You store the files in the database, you can back up & restore more easily, find your data more quickly and efficiently...

You store the files on the file system, and you will have to deal with access to the files and limits on the number of files per folder and the fact that you have NO REAL connection to the database (file gets deleted, when it did get deleted, I can restore from backup)

I'm doing a book to the video of a collection of pdf files in first 11 elements. Apparently first does not PDFs, so I converted the PDF files to JPEG via Photoshop CS5. When I try to play the video, the picture quality is horrible - very pixalated and part of the text is unreadable. Even if Photoshop psd files are supposed to be usable I get the same results. What are the dimensions in pixels of your JPEG files?

    For now, I will assume 1920 x 1080 pixels.

In the first 11 Expert elements workspace, go to Menu/New/project file and change the settings.

In the box change the settings, change the preset project:

    NTSC

    DIGITAL SLR

    1080 p

After OK'ing of the foregoing, you will see the new project dialogue box displaying your preconfiguration of the project.

Make sure there is a check mark next to the option 'Force selected setting on this project' in the new project dialog box, and

then click OK out of there.

In the first 11 Expert elements workspace, use Add Media/files and folders / in order to get your source files

in the current project of the place where you drag the source in the chronology files. Restore the timeline content and

determine if the quality of this reading content in the editing area monitor is improved compared to your previous projects.

You could also explore application fx effects/blur & focus / sharpness (just a little) content of the timeline.

What is your export scheduled for the content of your Timeline?

  • Acrobat Reader DC - pdf to excel conversion errors

I converted to a Word doc - but the result seems to be photo pages - not converted to text

    Tech support - please help.

Or if you can not I want a refund.

    Peter Fox

PDF to Word, Excel or any other format conversion is one of the most complex things, you can try to do it with a PDF file. It works very well in some cases, in other cases, the output doesn't have much to do with the original file. The key to success is that the PDF file must be "marked" - which means that it contains information about the information displayed in the file. The best way to ensure that a PDF file is properly tagged is using the PDFMaker in Acrobat to create PDF from Word or Excel file (this is the Acrobat Ribbon or toolbar).

Unfortunately it is not that you can do to improve the output without spending a lot of time (for example manually tracking file). In addition, if you use Adobe ExportPDF service and do not have access to Acrobat, it is even not an option.

You will need to get in touch with the support of Adobe through this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html (do not use the 'Forum' options, otherwise you'll end up here again once) they are also the only ones who can help you with your refund request.

  • Icon PDF JPEG problem paste only

    Hello

I wonder if someone can help me...

When I paste a JPEG or PDF in Photoshop, not all the time, but about half the time, appears a giant icon JPEG or CEO - not the image itself.

I know that these images / files are very well; they open in 'Preview' without any problem.

    Photo attached.

    Thanks for reading.JPEG paste error.png

When I want to use one in Photoshop I cut and paste in it. Is this the right way and if so why?

Because only in this way not just copy you the contents of the pixel (profile) but the file.

Ideally, one should open the image (in Photoshop itself in this case) and copy pixel content if necessary.

Implementation could cause interpolation if source image and image containing different resolutions if even that could be useful in avoiding if no transformations are likely to be performed on the image.

So eager to edit images in a PDF one would be better open the pictures, not to convert the pdf page, to avoid an unnecessary image degradation.

I especially want to solve the problem of pasting a jpg in the mask layer - or another way to use the texture of a jpg in the layer mask.

How widely you used to edit the layer masks?

Do you use images full color as basis for masks or individual channels?

  • Why I'm losing the layer effects when recording in format PDF, JPEG, etc...?

I'm working on a poster for a school assignment in Photoshop that uses a lot of layer effects for multiple objects, including text. I'll have to save to print to PDF for my teacher, but when I do that I lose a lot of quality and some of my layer effects. I tried to save as JPEG and PNG, but they all do the same thing. I also noticed that I lose the effects when I flatten the layers that the effects are on. I need the effects because I'm giving some objects a metallic appearance. It seems that the effects that I lose are the glow inside and bevel and Emboss.

Is there something I am doing wrong? It has nothing to do with the compression? Can someone help me understand what goes wrong so that I can save for printing?

If it was me I would be recording in the format .psd until the end of the project and then saving it to pdf or jpg that these formats are not intended as alternatives to .psd.

Jpg files don't support layers you will always lose them if you save in this format. PDF, however, should be ok, if configure you it correctly. When you save as pdf, make sure the layers box is checked

Make sure that in the next dialog box his game up like this

and finally click on compression then a lossless like zip compression. It should look like this

Hope that gives you better results

Thanks in advance and I look forward at the hearing of your.

    Hi prates77,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems, file conversion. You receive a conversion error, regardless of the file you are trying to convert? The error occurs if you use the web interface, or convert by the reader? And a strange question: how many files you have stored in your Acrobat.com account? We have seen reports of this error when there are a large number of files stored in the folder root your Acrobat.com account.

I can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • Adobe jpeg files conversion - why?

Why Adobe converts all my JPEGs into pdf?  This includes all my photos, everything.  How can I stop this and how can I convert my files back to their original state?

    Hi fomf,.

It's complicated! Can you please tell me a little more? Have you recently sign up for one of the services of Acrobat online or download Adobe Reader?

It seems that the association of the name of file to become JPEG files, and your operating system confused think it should open JPEGs with Adobe Reader. Is this what is happening? If so, you can reset the file name association easily. You are on Mac OS or Windows? Let us know and we will point you in the right direction to resolve this confusion.

It could be that you run in the misfortune because it is still in processing your order. (I don't see that the command is waiting in the order management system).

Given that this sounds evanescent, I'd convert the file for you. I will send you a private message with my email address. If you wish, send the file to this email and I'll take care of it for you.
