Flow of business process for Oracle Cloud

Hello

Where can I find the business process / model (BPM) runs for Oracle Cloud (Financials, HCM, sales, Service, Taleo)?

Something similar to the reference model to the Oracle BPA Suite retail (Business process architect) would be good, as long as it is relevant to Oracle Cloud.

I'm looking for the level 0 (Oracle Cloud) and 1 (HCM, sales, Service, financial services, Taleo) process flow (level 2 and 3 in option).

Thank you

Franklin

  • CPU Oracle patch process for Oracle shared houses-Stand alone case

    Hello-

I have a scenario where I apply CPU/Security Patch [CPUOCT2013] on Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 on Linux. I have 3 databases SID1, SID2 & SID3 all sharing the same $ORACLE_HOME and contain the init and spfiles files in the same directory of $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and other. Now, I need to apply the patch on a SINGLE instance of SID1 (for which I have approval for the stopping of the DB, which is a requirement for the processor). What is the method to be applied to the single SID and not others? I know that we apply patch to ORACLE_HOME, so I am confused, that way I can move forward. Please respond with your expertise and experience.

    Thank you

Your process sounds good to me - the best way to check is to do this in a test environment that is closest (if not identical) to the production as possible. You will also need to update file/etc/oratab as necessary to reflect the new OH

The environment variables that I refer above are at the OS level, not in the init.ora. See Oracle database administration. If there are any values in the init.ora that point to the old OH (I can't think at all), who will have to be changed too.

  • buffer busy elapse cnanging lob storage for oracle SECUREFICHIERS

    Hello world

I need help to solve a problem with buffer busy waits in a lob using SECUREFICHIERS for storage segment.

While loading the application inserts a record into a table with the lob segment and update the record after the filling of the lob data. The size of the block on the table space holding the lob is 8 KB and the segment on the lob segment size is limited to 8 KB. The average size of the recording of the lob is 6 KB and the minimum size is 4.03 KB. The problem only occurs when the execution of a work with a large number of relatively small inserts (4.03 Kb) in the lob column. The definition of the table allow online storage and the ptcfree set to 10%. The same jobs runs smoothly when you use storage basicfiles for the lob column.

According to [oracle whitepaper | http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/compression/overview/securefiles-131281.pdf] SECUREFICHIERS have a number of performance improvements. I was particularly interested test gather Write Cache our app do a lot of relatively small inserts in a lob segment.

Here is a fragment of the AWR report. It looks like all busy expectations buffer belong to a class of free list. The lob segment is located in a tablespace SAMS and I can't raise to freelists.

A couple of quick notes to anyone who is interested.
I was sent a few AWR reports and doing some tests on 11.2.0.2.
    Interesting things are:

    (a) SECUREFICHIERS have a free type of block called 'Clerks space', which is essentially space available of LOBs deleted; they are stored in v$ waitstat in the category 'free lists.

    (b) code OP inserts a null value / empty_lob(), it inserts the BLOB and then updates the BLOB - this is why the code generates a lot of BLOBs empty and eventually fill constantly, sweeping and empty blocks of the "free list".

    Possible solutions-
    (1) use the core files because they use very different mechanisms
    (2) do not insert and update the BLOB

In a way the problem exists because type LOB data aren't really OLTP objects, but the application manages LOB in a kind of type OLTP.

    Hi Kelly,

I assume you mean to meet these problems post MLR # 7 patch.

Here are some of the things ypu might start with:

    1. check your inventory of LS to see if your patch has been applied successfully
    2. ensure that all the post installation steps are completed (in the readme file)
    3. you may restore this patch and check if you still get the same error.
    4. after the cancellation, if your config works fine, the new patch rerapply and observe the effects.

    Thank you best regards &,.
    Suhas.

  • Where to download the sample database for Siebel Innovation Pack delivery Oracle Cloud 2015?

    Hello

Where to download the example for Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 database?

I downloaded the complete packages for Siebel Innovation Pack 2015 for Windows 64 - bit Oracle Cloud delivery, but I can't find the sample database installation folder after downloading all available components.

    Please help, thanks.

    Hello

DB sample installer are no longer available on Oracle Cloud delivery. To get the sample DB, you need to download the Group of hotfixes 5 of Siebel 15 "Patches and updates" section of the portal My Oracle Support (Patch Id: 22081062) and extract the image from the network using SNIC as usual. You may notice that SNIC now offers local ORACLE XE and sample database.

Also if you select ORACLE XE options while creating the network image and inspect the network image files, you will miss the separate installers. This is because the sample for Oracle XE database Installer is included in the Web Client of Siebel (Mobile/Developer) and the local database setup is included in the Siebel tools.

So when you run Setup of the Siebel Web Client for the installation of the patch group, you can choose to include the database, which is installed in quiet mode. Please try to install web client and let us know if it gives you the opportunity to choose to include the example database.

For more details, please visit virtual library:

  • How to model the (eCommerce with 3PL business processes)?

    Dear,

I have a gap to understand how business process must be modeled in an operation of e-commerce with a 3PL partner.

    Scenario of the case:
Company 'A' and 'B', both run E-Business Suite.
The company 'A' has a website of products which are intended to be sold. These products are the property of some sellers and not by the company "A".
A buyer or a regular Internet user visits to the Web site and decides to buy a product.
"B" company is responsible for choosing the products of the seller and their shipment to the buyer.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) to which side is the input control to the "A" side business "or"B"?
It should be entered in 'A', but it does not hold the stock because it is still owned by the seller of the product.
But it should also be entered in 'B' because he is responsible to fill the sales order and therefore must maintain quantities.

    (2) is it a purchase order is entered at any time? If Yes, then on what side?

In the real case, the company 'A' never hold quantities of stocks at any time, it just creates sales orders, but how it is implemented in the system?
And Company 'B' executes the command in the real case, but when he did get their hands on the amount?

    Kind regards

    Suleiman

It is easier if you separate the stream here in two processes.
Finance: the customer pay has produced. A seller of the product country. Country B for shipping.
Logistics: B picks up the seller and shall issue to the customer.

    Here is my suggestion.
In the case of BSE has
    (1) configure the provider and B as a provider in Oracle
    (2) the customer as a customer of Oracle installation program.
    (3) create a drop ship order first. On the drop delivery order, delivery and billing is the customer.
    (4) convert the ship drop PO requisition. On the PO, the Bill is and recipient is the ship-is vendorand customer .
    (5) on the drop ship PO, select B as a way by ship/ship.
    (6) send shipping information to B (e.g., ship and recipient information). Oracle has some nice way to automate this via SOA/BPEL.
    (7) or trigger another PO to pay B for shipping or simply to pay the Bill of B without a purchase order.

In the case of EBS from B
    (1) has as a client configuration.
    (2) when shipping information is received (step 6 above), create a sales order. The Bill is and recipient is the customer. Billing information must be generic (such as the transport of goods).
