FND_TABLES vs FND_NODES

Can someone help me please by explaining in detail what FND_TABLES and what are the FND_NODES? If you can provide documentation, it would be great. I read documentation now, but I can't seem to find a definition for the two.

Thank you

    Nice day

    I'm under EBS 11.5.10 with DB 10.2.0.4. I applied patch 7429271 following the steps described in the Doc id 233044.1.

    After restarting the application, I had one "node id does not exist for the current application" when forms started.

    After serving nodes (exec fnd_conc_clone.setup_clean) DNF, I ran successfully on the dbtier autoconfig but got the error below in the layer of apps.

    I also noticed that the content of my BCD file has been deleted and replaced by the model data (all values are by default). I tried to restore but it just had class written once again with default data.

    Hope my explanation was clear enough.

    But I noticed it is not support_db of the column in the fnd_nodes table, is this a normal behavior in 11.5.9?

    Because this table contains the IP addresses of the servers source (apps and db) and when you clone your target servers have different IP addresses that must be filled in the FND_NODES table.

    Kindly help me to solve this problem.

    Thanks and greetings

    Villi Kumar

    Hello

    The problem is solved now concurrent Manager is up and running after the digital switchover.

    Solution:

    After the passage of the database:

    ------------------------------------------

    Complete the Configuration of database:

    ----------------------------------------

    connect the apps/primaryapps

    SQL > exec fnd_net_services.remove_system ('HRDR');

    SQL > commit;

    SQL > exec fnd_conc_clone.setup_clean;

    run the automatic configuration on db

    lsnrctl stop STHRDR

    lsnrctl start STHRDR

    Synchronization of the application:

    -------------------------------

    disable the listener applcaiton both on the odes before running the automatic configuration.

    Run the autoconfiguration on cm node service

    Run the autoconfig on the node of the Web

    Check the node values using query below:

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Select nodeName in fnd_nodes;

    Select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like '% FNDSM'; ---> to the result of the query, for me web node hostname only came so I ran script below.

    @%FND_TOP%\patch\115\sql\afdcm037.sql ---> this script updates the table with the details of the cm node

    now, it seems very well.

    Select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME in the FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like '% FNDSM ';

    Then restart all servers.

    Now start the database and applications.

    Problem will solve itself.

    DBA_ * are in the data dictionary, which means it's the definition of the real object and what will dictate the behavior of the object when it is used on sql and pl/sql. FND * tables DB object names (FND_TABLES, FND_COLUMNS, etc.) are specific eBS and are used to store metadata for db object to use when referencing of such objects that have a table and column LOV when you set a FDF.

    Now, the DBA tables are maintained by the motor from the base object definitions are created/updated, information FND * are not synchronized automatically, which means that unless the metadata information is explicitly updated, it can no longer reflect the latest definition object DB.

  • How to use Data Guard with E-Business Suite

    Hello

    I'm trying to get my head around how would you use Data Guard with E - Business Suite.

    I know that you can use only physical standby with EBS, however I have a few basic questions about specific values < SETTING > and how they are treated by a standby.

    Given that the standby and primary servers will have different host names and that generally there are < FRAME > specific values that include the hostname, where they will have to change on the standby server, both from the point of view of the battery backup Apps and within the standby database itself, I wondered how it would happen.

    Usually, EBS cloning process would change the < FRAME > target settings in the target apps stack and the target database (for example, parameters such as FND_NODES etc.).

    Q1. However I do not know how the process of cloning E - Biz would fit with a database of the day before?

    Q2. As the standby database won't even be in an open State, I don't know yet how you would apply a party any of the cloning process to a database of pending to the target?

    Q3. Even if you were able to change on the eve of the database to reflect the < FRAME > from backup server, it would mean surely it was more a physical copy of the primary database, that's why it would be more a day before.

    All a bit confusing - any clarification appreciated
