  I have the following SQL error when you try to connect to a SQL Server on the same domain / Vlan. Anyone know if they have had a similar problem?

• Concurrent user connections to vCenter

  We have about 50 virtual machines on our infrastructure with ESXi 5 5.5. hosts. They are all machines Windows 7 and users access via vCenter console (they can use the RDP sessions for different reasons). Now, I would like to know how this is handled by the vCenter? Can this has led to a kind of overload on the vCenter server or can it lead to some other performance issues? There are about 15 to 20 concurrent connections but about 50 in total. I couldn't find any documentation on the number of connections could cause the vCenter overload and no valid explanation would be appreciated.

  Having a really weird problem here. I have setup my SQL database Installation and configuration guide, but cannot connect to system cells. I get arror message saying "Could not connect to database. Please re-enter. " However, I can connect to the database successfully by using ODBC in Windows.

  Here is what im entering the connection details: -.

  If you use a named instance (what you entered indicates you have created an instance named, called VCDDB), I'm sure that you will not use the port configured for this named instance, because only the default instance uses 1433.  It will work in ODBC probably because the SQL browser is running on the server and the client is able to talk on udp 1434 to find out which dynamic port of the named instance is on, but vCloud Installer probably this is impossible...

  In other words: the default instance (MSSQLSERVER) probably in 1433, all default named instances will be listening on dynamic ports - what it is and use that in the Port field.

  I am trying to create an ODBC SQL Server connection.  I created the ODBC connection on the Essbase server and my laptop where I am under EAS from successfully.  However, when I try and connect to SQL, I get:

  How can I get the Regional Service to recognize the connection ODBC/s?

• Developer SQL connected to a DB SQL Server (problem with "INSERT an IDENTITY")

  I use developer SQL to connect to a DB in SQL Server by using the jTDS jar file.
  
  Problem is that when I try to run the "SET IDENTITY_INSERT < TABLE >;" SQL Developer has told me that he skips the command.
  Error message in the console: "SQLPLUS Command ignored: set IDENTITY_INSERT < TABLE > WE.

  Set identity_insert is a command to SQL Server that is not managed by SQL Developer. You must pass the set command as it is on the SQl Server using the / * sqldev:stmt * /, for example:

  drop table test1;
  -Online moved as test1 table.

  create table test1 (col1 int identity (1,1));
  -Online table TEST1 created.

  Insert into test1 (col1) values (10);
  => Error from line 4 on order:
  -Online insert into test1 (col1) values (10)
  -Online error in the command line: 4 column: 0
  => Error report:
  -Online SQL error: cannot insert an explicit value for identity in the table 'test1' column when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.

  When I use the sqldev:stmt setting now I can place an order directly to SQL Server:

  / * sqldev:stmt * / set identity_insert test1;
  -Online set IDENTITY_INSERT succeeded.

  Insert into test1 (col1) values (11);
  -Online 1 lines inserted.

  Just add it to the chain of connection in advance.

  But I wanted to omit the password, so I tried:

  thinking that SQL * more tempt me the password but, if it does at all. I tried in vain a few variations. I read the specifications of command line for SQL * more and it seems that this command should work.
  
  Questions: What is the problem with the command I typed and what is the correct syntax?

  To omit the password using connect scott@dbca , but do not connect scott/@dbca of sqlplus.
  or sqlplus scott@dbca

• CF vs. SQL connection connection

  I built a few dozen pages in CF with a MS SQL back-end. Whenever I check to see how the pages work (F12), he asks me to connect. The said connection box is for the coldfusion server, but the user name and password that work are my Windows username and password (they are related to SQL Security).   Depends on what version you're on, HAL is roughly at the end of his life, but if you have to use it, you can use an ODBC adapter to connect to the database.
  Other options will need to use the ODI or you could try the command DATAEXPORT (BSO) to extract a table or a flat file.
