• View the account service - permissions in vCenter

  The security guy asked me to check if the service account for view can have anything least Administrator permissions at the root of the hierarchy of vCenter.

  Has anyone tried reducing the rights of the service successfully account?

  We will be dedicated hosts (in a dedicated cluster) for VDI so it's just a case of:

  1 give the account admin permissions at the folder level inventory (models and virtual computers view) where the VMs will go

  2 give the administrative account permissions to the VDI cluster level

  ?

  We do not use composer, which simplifies things a bit.

  I'm going to give it a try today, I'd be interested if someone else has done something similar.

  You should be able to put it on existing pools without any problem.

  I'm looking to make a request to the url that uses a custom search, IE put search directly in the url to use a custom search instead of using the drop down menus.

  Currently, it is not supported in a custom search screen.

• XP admin account is hidden and in safe mode F8 annoys me but I cannot view the admin account.

  The admin account is hidden and it seems as my user account, but what built allowed me to install the drivers it isn't now.  Impossible to install a wireless card to get on the web.

  According to Microsoft: "This isn't a problem... it's a feature"...

  The normal behavior for Windows XP is to hide the built-in Administrator account once another user account is created.  Not rebuild your machine again because it happen.  One way around this problem is to create another administrator-capable user as an unprivileged user.  Then, when the account is not built-in Administrator, you will have a visible connection as admin user.

  As it is now, your solution is simple.  On the normal startup login screen, hit twice by the Ctrl-Alt-Delete key combination.  This will bring up a login screen standard where you can enter the user name and password (if any) of the built-in Administrator and you connect to your computer to a normal startup mode and make the changes you want.  (I recommend that you create a 2nd Admin user with the control panel of users)

  I have an environment where another business unit already has an environment seen in place.  We have an OU dedicated to us and asked us a View Composer account with the appropriate permissions, but the other DRANK us said to use the same composer account they use.    Is this possible?  Or even a good idea?

  I don't see why that would be a problem as long as the account has access to your ORGANIZATIONAL unit too.   You need of course a unique database of composer if you use different environments from view.

  Hi Miranga,

  It is possible to display the description of account code... Infact you can view both account code and description... you need create an ORDER of LINES and attach it to your report of FSG...
  Perform the steps below:

  (1) switch responsibility to the big book
  2) go to reports > define > order
  (3) enter a name for the field in the ORDER of the LINES
  (4) in the display of account section, enter SEQ 1, Segment as ACCOUNT, order VALUE and DISPLAY in the form of DESCRIPTION AND VALUE and the width 15...
  You can increase or decrease the width based on the way the data appeared in the output of your report...
  (5) save the file...
  6) go to reports > define > report
  (7) question your relationship...
  (8) in the optional components section, click the field in the order of the lines, and select the order of the lines that you set up earlier in the list of values...
  (9) save changes to the report...
  (10) run the new report of the FSG and see the result...

  It isn't experience Viewer, the (5.6.4) Management Server Foglight than we use for monitoring Infra.

  We receive some "connection reset errors" in the newspapers. Thus, we would like to create a dump file of TCP using which we can address the connectivity problem that we are facing today.
