Folder to archive hidden

New MacBook Air with my Gmail related to the mail app. All good except that my Archive folder is not visible with my other folders on the left. The icon is visible and apparently works well. Any thoughts on how to make it appear?

Hello Walt,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you do not see the folder to Archive your Gmail account. You have selected to archive your messages in Gmail? Take a look at this support article that explains the difference between the deleted mailbox and the mailbox of the Archive and how to select one or the other. Archive your Gmail in the Mail application messages

Best regards.

  • Cannot move or delete messages in the folder "Inbox archive".

I'm on Thunderbird v24.4.0. There is a folder in one of my two accounts called "Archive of Inbox". Most of the time that I try to run, delete, or move an email from this folder, there is a pause, "not responding" appears in the tab upward and then after about a minute, the action is (rarely) occurs or TB ends by closes (most of the time). If the message has an attachment in it or not does not a difference. It essentially rendered the unmanageable folder. The only other application generally running IE 11.

I think I have this folder 'Inbox archive' because of the way I moved messages and files from my old PC is no longer functional, to the new, a Windows 7 Home Premium machine. On the new PC, I installed TB and new messages began filling the Inbox. Later, I copied the old emails and files from the old hard drive to the new PC - probably not the best or good in the way to do that with hindsight, but I only made this another times before.

So far, I tried to rebuild the world database (all folders, including the problematic rebuilt and re-indexed correctly), and fix the file and none resolved the problem. I thought to move messages 'archive of Inbox' in the Inbox active, but I'm reluctant to do it because I can't be sure that it does not have the regular Inbox respond similarly. This particular case is the only one with this problem. I would like to delete the folder if I could, but there are things in there that I need to register. It has about 4200 messages in it, using about 470 MB of space, which since the help files, does not seem to be the problem.

I was unable to find alternatives in Help topics, ideas or help would be appreciated.

You have probably already seen this now, so just in case where...

  • Cannot use the option button to access the folder of bookmarks hidden on a dead drive

I'm on Mac OSX 10.7.5, and I can easily access the folder on my current drive by pressing the option key (so that the hidden library appears) then get bookmarks of otherwise hidden files (since it's my new boot drive)

    BUT

I need to copy / move my LAST favorites since ten days previously, a dead hard drive. The drive is usable, just not able to start.

    BUT

Since this amazing new 'hold option on GO in the Finder menu to see the invisible library feature' (sarcasm) requires your operating system to be started, I can't access the bookmarks folder in the library. How can I do this if the Finder is not started on the dying drive? Is - this make any sense?

    Check this?

  • Folder to archive does not exist

I have read and followed everything I can find on the archiving of the data, but the problem is that the location specified in the tools/account settings / (account) / Copies and records does not seem to exist. The entry in the field is the name of the account. Is this a problem, and in any case, where are my messages?

    OK, it says "pop." ...

    ...

OK, I found the archive. On another hard disk only where TB is and buried ten layers down, but it's there.

Toad Hall, thank you very much for your help and even more for your patience.

  • How to archive the folder to a different computer

I have thunderbird on both computers. And I need to have a record of archives containing old e-mail on a different computer.
    They have unfortunately deleted here.
Both computers are synchronized, but the folder of archive is not sync.

    Thank you
    Gary

Do you want to say that the record of archive has been deleted one or both computers? If the PC is synchronized, make sure you have sharing capabilities for tuberculosis. You say "They were unfortunately deleted here." If they no longer exist then you of course cannot transfer sync or any other form besides. If you have a copy on one, you can transfer them another way. Open the CT that contains the archived file and minimize, so you can see your desktop also. Create a "new folder" on your desktop, in TB click ctrl a (to select it), then ctrl c (to copy to Clipboard/mouse), finally opened "new folder" and click ctrl v to paste the items in the folder. Then you can zip or an e-mail to the other PC or copy to a USB key, discharge to the other PC, on your desktop, open TB here, minimize, so you can see your desktop, create a new folder 'Archives' and repeat the steps in reverse to transfer them from the Office in TB. I hope this helps.

  • mail folder turned to the icon of the archive and relocated

When I upgraded to the current Thunderbird last week, my e-mail folder main (PurepianoInbox) who is not "Inbox" (where most of my e-mail comes) got converted into a folder to archive or so it seems. Specifically, the folder icon has been replaced with the icon of the archive, and now this is located above my Junk next to my file folder to archive. Ironically, he continues to receive mail correctly, but I would like to return it to the mail folder list because it is very confusing. (See attached chart). I tried to get an answer, but so far no one has given a useful answer. Thank you!

Take a look at your account settings for your email /copies & records.
If no message archives points to this local folder. If so, change it.

  • Archive vs confounded all messages - Gmail folder folder

I give thunderbird another go after a few years (from mail.app). I got through the installation of gmail, but I'm still at a loss as to what the difference is between archival records in TB and all messages from Gmail. I have my gmail accounts configuration check in the mail folder all, what they are doing. However, I can still see, and the folder to Archive for Gmail in the sidebar and it acts just like the mail folder all (AFAICT) in the IMAP folders online.

Can someone clear this up for me. Is the folder to archive, just a more direct route to 'all messages '?

General information: Mac OS X 10.9.1, 24.3.0 thunderbird gmail via IMAP.

    Thank you.

which I assume that your use of the unified folder view. Otherwise that archives entry simply does not appear.

They are the same for all mail and folder of the archive that you mention and the setting in the link define to be the same thing.

  • Folder options - view the hidden files and folders

    Hello

On this same laptop, there seems to be a problem with * Folder Options - Show hidden files and Folders.*

Every time I have to 'see' this option to display - then I go back to check/confirm the changes - but the box is new 'unchecked '. Despite clicking on apply then Ok to save the changes. The changes are never saved...

I have used other laptops of this same option and it worked fine.

Please indicate if I need to apply or change other settings for this to work?

    Kind regards.

A reasonable explanation from Microsoft for this?
To be honest I have never heard talk about something like that. ?:|

Since when you noticed this behavior?
Have you tried to roll back the BONES to the bygone era? Maybe some update is responsible for this.

I really hope that someone here will explain why this happen.

  • is there a way to make a smart folder to hidden files in Picasa (or folders)?

I know how to "unmask" the files on a Mac, but I was wondering if there was a way to make a smart folder of these hidden files. Specifically, I was looking to make a smart list of the original Picasa files that are usually hidden.

You can add a criterion of visibility of the file. Is not a user of Picasa, I can't offer more specific advice.

When you start a new smart folder, click on the button in the criteria section.

Click on the button to select a category of criteria and choose another...

Scroll the list (or using the search) to find the Invisible file. If you select and click Ok, it will serve as a criterion. If you want that this element added to the list of criteria, so you don't have to hunt for it with others, click the box "in the Menu.

Combine this with some other criteria will be useful to isolate the original Picasa.

  • How to change the 'Archives' folder for email accounts in El Capitan?

El Capitan, before I was able to change the 'Archives' folder in the mail by changing the ArchiveMailboxName property in the ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Accounts.plist as a result file.

Unfortunately, with El Capitan that has stopped working. The right Mail application does not take into account my changes and keeps using the old folder of archived messages no matter how to customize above setting.

Does anyone know how to change this setting in El Capitan?

Background: I use a dedicated folder to Archive each year. So I want to move this folder from Archive.2015 to Archive.2016 that does not work.

OS X El Capitan (tested with 9.2 Mail), you can directly set in the Mail application:

    1. Select your new folder to archive.
    2. In the menu, choose mailbox > use this mailbox under > archive mailbox.

In German, it is Postfach > sharps Postfach use als > Postfach "Archiv".

  • My hard drive is half consumed by a single file in the Content.IE5 hidden folder, can I just remove it?

    Original title: Content.IE5 too big.

My hard drive Go 102 is that half eaten, suck up to 53 GB, in a single file in the folder Content.IE5 hidden. Full path is C:Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\TemporaryInternetFiles\Low\Content.IE5\LHV89YGB.

I was able to find this using TreeSize. Does anyone know if it is acceptable to simply remove that annoying file. It is a file name temp, but is also an application data file, so I'm a bit confused. Vista SP2

Try using CCleaner to remove temporary internet files

I found that it is more aggressive to get rid of these as Microsoft Cleaners.
