  I send you this mail because recently I passed the exam 1Z0-053-Oracle Database 11 g: Administration II, which is the last review necessary to acquire the OCP Certification. However, in the path to certification, I need to prove that I participated in an official Oracle training.

  Research for the course on the site to view pearson, I did find the name of course on the list. So I'm sending you this email with the courses required for certification information. I attended the course at FIAP College (http://www.fiap.com.br/en/conheca-a-fiap/parcerias-estrategicas/), in the city of São Paulo (Brazil) of March, 2010 until March 2011. The above link is possible to check that the University is a partner of Oracle. The title I had was "Graduate in Oracle Database Management".

  In this e-mail, I have attached a copy of the certified course FIAP (front.jpg, certificate Back). I also send my profile data in the site view pearson (Pearson VIEW - my profile.pdf) and my scores on tests for certification of OCP (1Z0 - 051.pdf, 1Z0 - 052.pdf, 1Z0 - 053.pdf).

  Hi, I am interested in an Oracle Certification exam (1Z0-144), but I'm not sure if I'm ready.

  Any suggestions on how I could notice me if I am ready for the examination? I have (almost) no idea on what would be the review or what topics would be covered.

  Oracle PL/SQL (and SQL) certifications are not really related to the output of the database as are the DBA certifications. The exam 1Z0-147 was developed during the version 9i, and the exam 1Z0-144 was developed during the release of 11 g.  However, a review wins the same certification credentials (i.e. you do not become a 'Oracle 11 g PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate'.  The reason is that SQL and PL/SQL undergo massive changes from one version to the other. However, they change slightly from one version to the other, and OU must periodically update information on trial so that it matches the available capacities.  I talk about this in the article below.  It is specific for reviews of databases SQL, but the basic concepts are the same for reviews of PL/SQL.

  Basically However - even if you are using oracle 10g, I recommend that you take 1Z0-144, because it's a review better than 1Z0 - 147.  I give my reasoning for it the following article:

  I'm currently Oracle 11 g certified OCA, I ve also passed the exam 1z0-053 to become OCP and also 1z0 - 058 to become CEO in RAC & grid 11g, but I Don t have one of the required courses needed to become OCP and OCE actually. Of my understood, when I take compulsory courses for 11 g OCP I'll get two certifications (OCP and OCE)

  Now I have the chance in my exam 1z0-060 company take, I m not sure if this exam will ensure the certification OCP 12 c, because one of the prerreqs is to have 11g OCP certification and I Don t have it yet.

  In a previous answer, I realized that when I realize the prerreqs I'll get all certificates in waiting, but I want to be absolutely sure.

  In theory, you can stack several certifications 'pending' and have all get paid when you finally realize the condition precedent of bottleneck.  After completing 1Z0 - 060, you should take 1Z0-054 (performance tuning).  Then when you take the required training for the OCP 11g, you will simultaneously receive four certifications.

  You should get this (activation key) information of the oracle certified Institute, where you did your oracle course.

  Please check with the Institute and complete the test.

• For the developer of the OCP, is it necessary to provide hands on?

  I know that practical OCP is required for the acquisition of certificate, but have two questions:

  1. is it necessary for OCP developer to provide practice for the certificate?

  2. If so, is it possible for a reason any who, after appearing in the exam, as practice requirements expected to be completed?

  No - the OCP-level developer certifications do not have a practical requirement.

  Look for the "SQL Fundamentals".  One of the questions will be: "How long can I use an exam to earn a certification? "Exam results expire?"

  The answer is: "do not expire the results of exams, but certifications are retiring, and that affects your older test results will help you to get certified or not. "

  If a specific review meets a requirement in a current certification path, it does not matter if you have passed the exam. "For example, if you have taken SQL, # 1Z0-001 review in 1997, you can always use it meets the requirement of SQL for Oracle database current certification."

  I guess you ask if you can use the course 12 c as long as the condition of course for the review of 11g.  Over 12 c is not listed as one of the options for the 11 g certification and course requirements are normally specific version - at least with DBA certifications.  If you are already an Oracle OCP DBA, of course, there is no requirement of course for the review of performance tuning.  From what I know the training requirements for other certifications, I do not that you will be able to use it. However, Brandye will provide a definitive answer to whether the course 12 c would be acceptable for 11g certification.

  That said, I'm with John - 12 c review is about a community of 85 to 90% in the review of the 11g and is currently about 20% of the price while it is in beta.  What is the point of trying to cross the releases?

• Oracle Workshop II LVC for price of OCP Certification

  Here's a serious question that France, the United Kingdom or the United States Customer Service cannot answer me, I call them all, but no answers!
  
  It's been a year since I got my Oracle OCA certification. thinking about do OCP; I looked at the requirement and choose to go on Administration Workshop 2. This class if the United States cost $3000 for the instructor-led training or LVC (live virtual class).
  (1) I do not understand that, depending on the country where the examination is taken, the price is different... exple: France €2950 ≈4000$, for the monitor led training...
  so a little surprise, I look for the LVC because why travel or moving if I can take it online. did a little research and found that for the same training (workshop 2 LVC Administration) if I select the Romania as my country of origin, for the LVC training price is 3,200 RON is > $ 1,056, with different schedules and available languages for the trainer...
  then living in France can I just go ahead and register for this LVC training with the language of my choice trainer, this Romania having as my home country, pay the $ 1,056, take my training online and therefore convinced for the hands on the course requirement?
  If someone can tell me please do? Thanks in advance.

  More seriously, I don't think that there has been problems with people go to another country to do training. Indeed some people will have had to have done because it was not available or was not offered at a convenient time in their own country.

  However, Oracle perceives differently at the same course in different countries and different for different places in the same country. At least part of this door on the cost of the expense to the location, and some probably refers to a price point acceptable for the country in question.

  Of course, some have done for economic reasons; and I saw the training offered by companies on this basis.

  Lets take an example, lets say bigdelboy decided to follow a course of dataguard. It looks like the price for London, and it resembles a price of Bangalore in India.
  Now, the price in India is about 1/3 of those in London. However for bigdelboy, there are plane tickets to reflect, the travel suggests, bigdelboy might have to consider vaccinations for travel and hotels and unfamiliar with the area, and no repeat no logistical chance of guaranteed satisfaction and perhaps even a visa to reflect. (As for the work of colleague bigdelboy "Fred", which is native to India and has family in Bangalore has maybe a different consideration of cost/benefit/risk).

  (Thereagain, if bigdelboy was ready to take 4 * 5 day course consecutively the cost/risk/benefit may be different... you mind a 5 day course at a time is enough to make the beat head).

  Overall students will sometimes howl on this subject, but most can enjoy (at least to a certain extent) different prices in different countries.

  Obviously LVC cost the same in the actual classes.

  There are probably good reasons others to keep a LVC in the country if, in my humble opinion it can be:
  -Trainer would have more empathy with the culture of the country.
  -Less than risks of internet delay / disruption to the individual class members.
  -Possibly problems with payments for services between countries.

  Frankly, in my humble OPINION Oracle University have little other choice than to impose this LVC within the rule of the country severely disrupt their training body or to seriously raise prices in some countries. In fact if they were forced to abandon this rule, that they might have to stop RCF.

  Basically, business to Oracle University people are not totally stupid and have calculated that afford it to residents ' "(whatever which is defined as) in the counties of cost high to take low delivered cost of LVC countries, they are likely to have significant problems and they will ensure that this does not happen. I suspect that people who try to get around that could have their course was stopped and foreit fees of course.

  Now, I want to take OCP DBA too. I found that I have to present a hands on application requirement of course for the realization of the OCP DBA form. Can I write all the 3 papers for 9i OCP DBA, since I completed the SQL and PL/SQL 9i training?

  Regarding the recommendations, 1Z0-061 has an Oracle Press book developed for it. They are almost always a good choice. The only books written specifically for 1Z0-144 is the study guide that I wrote.  In addition, many people have stated in the past that they used the book of Oracle PL/SQL Programming of Steve Feuerstein.

• Pre - Req courses before registering for the workshop course for certification VCP5-VTC (confusion)

  Dear all,

  I intend to attend examinations VCP5-VTC and all through vmware site I found to attend this certification, must complete one of the courses of training to get the pre - req certificate. One of the pre - req given on the site is "Trouble Shooting Workshop", when I checked the details for this course, it is said below pre - req.

  Prerequisites include completion of one of the following:

  • VMware® Certified Professional 5 - virtualization data center (VCP5-VTC)

  • VMware vSphere: Fast Track [V5.1]

  • VMware vSphere: optimize and scale [V5.1]

  Administration and knowledge equivalent • experience with ESXi and vCenter Server

  Experience with the work on the command line is strongly recommended

  I need to know if I'm not VCP5-VTC and also did not attend the Fast Track or optimize and scale, I can't save for the course of the workshop? I must firstly fill Fast Track OR optimize and only then I'd register myself in over course "Workshop" scaling?

  Technically, anyone can book themselves on the workshop, but the advanced/content issues are not really suitable for those who meet these prerequisites listed - those who do not know how what is fast track and Optimize classes & scale would have difficulty with the workshop.

  You don't HAVE to be a VCP5 VTC either, but if you are then you will be at a level equivalent to a person who did the FT/O & S classes - that's why certification is listed as an alternative condition, as well as the "equivalent knowledge and experience.
