• PDF form: fill in the field with the value of another field

  I have a PDF form that one of our employees has to be completed on a regular basis.

  There is a 'product' - text field, which is present on the form several times, which will contain the same information.

  From now on, my colleague has fill all these these one by one manually. But with the copy - paste, it doesn't take more than a few seconds.

  However, to facilitate work a little, I want to it to be able to simply fill out one of the fields (can be a specific, must not be dynamic) and all the other 'product' - fields automatically takes the value of the field of this first.

  How can I accomplish this?

  I noted the possibility of JavaScript controls.

  I am familiar with basic JavaScript, however never used it for PDF files.

  Any help and pointers would be appreciated.

  This isn't a problem with script. Just give each field of the same name. Once the field names are the same, a change in one will be to another. For some reason that it does not work with standard HTML forms, probably the reason why you ask.

• PDF form: blocking of the fields before you send it by e-mail

  I have to scratch my head with this problem for a while: I have this form must be sent by email with some locked fields (read-only).

  What I do is affecting this BEFORE as I have the e-mail form:

  fieldName.access = "readOnly";

  app.execMenuItem ("SaveAs");
  

  However, the form always happens at destination with the field unlocked and ready for editing.

  Am I missing something?

  Hi Marcos,

  Just check first that the changes script preserve is set to automatic.

  

  Then, make sure that the script has completely executed before e-mail script. It might help to put the script to access the mouseUp event that fires before the click event (containing the saveAs script).

  I then test this separate for the mail script and see it works on the local PC.

• Forms and update the fields

  I have a PDF document that has a bunch of formulas to calculate the mileage, etc.. I entered the formulas in the "total" fields, but once I fill in the other fields, the 'total' number will not refresh. Y at - it a tip secret to automatically update the number or is it possible that my formula is simply wrong? It is in simplified notation of field as "End MileageRow1 - start MileageRow1."  (Ending MileageRow1 is the name of a field and start MileageRow1 is the name of another.) Any help with this would be awesome!

  The field calculation order is not correct. To define it, go to the forms editing mode (forms > add or edit fields), and then select "forms > change > set field calculation order of fields. Set the order of everything that makes sense for your form.

• BlackBerry touch Z30 responds, keyboard not typing in the fields, how to install?

  As the title suggests. I did a reset of the safety, the touch screen works very well and can move around as usual. It is every time I try to type on the keyboard. It depresses and produces noise, but no character come in the fields. I've recently updated to 10.3.2.xxxx now I can't connect to my BB protect in order to access the phone. Its stuck in the installation program.

  What can I do to overcome this? Any help is very appreciated. I know that my loggin and password. Just can't so can not go back to a full backup in link BB.

  For example, a person registers with email [email protected] then BC will strangely automatically their first name field testingform which is false.   I strongly suggest you move on the Dreamweaver forum (using this software) - and abandon all hope to found your web page entirely on slices of another application. I also recommend to learn the basics of HTML before you try to go further. Web design is a very different beast to print design.

  I use CFFORM to create a form, including a CFCALENDAR, the problem I have is that the first field that is a text field (name: FN) is not centered.

  Thanks, your solution worked... but it didn't at first... then I noticed, the BODY tag had a DIV after it next, I was down the ONLOAD in the DIV... duhhhhh... one of those things you look for hours and can't see the forest for the trees!

  I use and learn Dreamweaver 2015.  I created a few forms to a Web site for a project, and while I got the correct validation for some fields (name required in the field name) settings, a valid email address for field email, etc, I can't find a way to bring up a window confirming the correct presentation if the fields have been correctly entered on the form.  If the fields are free of errors, I want to say something like "thanks for your message.  You should hear from us shortly. "I am limited to HTML5 and javascript.

  In this case go to tools - prepare the form, right-click the field and select Properties, then Options.

  Look if the boxes 'Limit characters X' or 'Comb of characters X' is selected. If Yes, select not them, and then click OK.

  Leave the form editing mode, and then try again.

• Prevent the digital signature if the fields are white
