Form field label

I don't know if is the right place to post my question I posted it under <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/996327> forms without success in the hope that someone might be able to help me here:

I have the same question as this thread <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/756410> liked a bit more.

If the answer (which worked beautifully) was presented by George:

Custom format for text field script

If (! event.value) {}

Event.target.userName = Event.Value;

Event.Target.Display = display.noPrint;

} else {}

Event.Target.Display = display.visible;

}

But as George escaped in his first posting in the thread is:

The problem with this approach is that it is easily opposed using all built-in formatting that you can use (number, POSTAL code, etc.). You can always, but it takes more than script.

So, how can I get the combination of the Lable of displayed shape field and also the auto formatting of phone numbers, Postal Codes etc.. ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am running Acrobat X Pro under Windows if it matters.

Issue update:

So I thought about it some more memory and see this line of code:

Event.Value = util.printx ("99-9999999", event.value); <Http://forum.planetpdf.com/wb/default.asp?action=9 & fid = 34 & read = 43365>.

And then the mask arbitrary formatting option

<http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/standard/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7de 4.w.html>

and it seems that the tax id of the code line uses these same guidelines.   So is it far from using the section of the code of George and combine it with the tax id of the code line and just use the arbitrary mask formatting rules, so if a text field provided a zip uses the article by George and just change the line id tax so instead of all four pins, should just 99999? If this makes no sense or is possible if someone could answer it please with an example, I would be very happy!

Played with combining the two soultions and just added the tax ID formatting to part of George and I come to this:

Custom format for text field script

If (! event.value) {}

Event.target.userName = Event.Value;

Event.Target.Display = display.noPrint;

} else {}

Event.Target.Display = display.visible;

Event.Value = util.printx ("99-9999999", event.value)

}

That works very well if you put in a total of nine numeric characters, but if you enter letters, it allows you to always just does not show the verses the arbitrary mask of formatting option where it won't let put you in letters and requires the right on numeric characters.

So my new question/problem is how to allow only numeric characters to appear and demand the right amount of characters with the code above?

BE! Actually I had the code above works because if the statement contained in the else statement!

I have no idea how it works (again I don't know anything about coding).

All I had to do was change it while he was:

Custom format for text field script

If (! event.value) {}

Event.target.userName = Event.Value;

Event.Target.Display = display.noPrint;

event.target.textColor = color.red;

} else {}

Event.Target.Display = display.visible;

event.target.textColor = color.black;

Event.Value = util.printx ("99-9999999", event.value);

If (event.value.length! = 10) {}

Event.Value = "";

App.Alert ("Tax ID # doesn't have the required number of 9!", 0, 0)

}

}

    Hello

    I've done the research to the best of my ability and could not find something lack of tabs or features that were not included with the Pro DC version. His colleague has Acrobat Pro 9.2 and these tabs in the properties or the gaze of two identical versions. I don't know if they are something that is not included with DC Pro or if there is something we are missing to enable them? Any help would be appreciated!

    I thank you for your help, unfortunately we could not find the option "Return to the form of Acrobat" at all, but we were able to get the other tabs.

    She informed me that she had converted to a Word Doc with this information we he converted again and opened the new PDF with Acrobat. Then he went an extra step of "Scanning" the document and we then had the additional tabs that we were missing. I think that this extra step "sweep" would have been forgotten before causing the loss of the most advanced tabs.

    The columns in the grid of the page are too narrow (72px) to account for the width of the items. Change the grid options in the page template to use less/more wide columns or change the attributes of the element for the items cover more than 1 column (put in page 2-column seems OK...)

  • Order of the form fields and the name (without CB) in Email

    Hi fans of Muse.

    I have little problem set. order of fields in form of Muse and naming in the submitted e-mails.

    There is a simple form (for a subscription to the newsletter) with 3 fields (tags are off): name, surname and email address.

    Muse site is not hosted on BC and everything works fine (emails sent, name and email are delivered) except these things:

    1. the subject of the email subject is "submission of form XY. Is it possible to change the subject?

    2. in the presentation of muse, I have 1 the name field (for the first name), then a single line filed for the name field, then the email field.

    But the delivered mail reads as:

    Name: XY (First name)

    Email: email

    Custom: XY (family name)

    Is it possible to change the order and rename the fields correctly?

    Thanks in advance

    CPT Hoschi

    The label used in the enamel, is the same thing as the label used in the form of Muse, even if the label is hidden, so you can change your last label of the name "custom" for "last name" field and which should improve the email you get.

    In regard to the order of the fields in the email doesn't match not in order on the page, I think it's a bug of Muse. Muse currently generates e-mail based on the order of the fields in your form, rather than the order from top down. You should be able to affect the order of fields in the e-mail by selecting the individual form fields and choosing "send to back" or "leading" in the menu object.

  • Custom Custom Format AND Date text field label

    I have created a form where I wanted each form field to have a label so that the user knows what to connect, BUT when I arrived at this day it became clear that I can only do one or the other, enter a name or select a date format, because they are both under the same category selection and you can choose only one. I found a previous discussion and was able to use the following code to label all the text fields and he also mentioned that an additional coding would be required to customize the date:

    Custom format for text field script

    If (! event.value) {}

    Event.Value = "enter meeting requested Date."

    Event.Target.Display = display.noPrint;

    } else {}

    Event.Target.Display = display.visible;

    }

    Now my problem is that in order to label the tabled text, I had to do a custom format, so I am unable to choose a custom date format. Instead of getting the error message when the format is wrong there at - it a way to make sure that no mater what type of date is connected, it is automatically reformatted to (mmmm dd, yyyy)?

    I don't know am new to the form of coding features and indeed if there is another way to lock it I would appreciate the help.

    Yes, it is possible... Basically you would use something like this as the custom for the field validation script:

    Event.RC = true;

    If {(event.value)

    var d = util.scand ("mm/dd/yyyy", event.value);

    If (d == null) {}

    App.Alert ("Invalid value.");

    Event.RC = false;

    } else {}

    Event.Value = util.printd ("mmmm dd, yyyy", d);

    Event.Target.Display = display.visible;

    }

    } else {}

    Event.Value = "enter meeting requested Date."

    Event.Target.Display = display.noPrint;

    }

    I have not tested, but I think he should do the trick.

  • Setting the width of the field label

    I have a form on which I have two of my fields (columns) in the same row, using the start on new line = No and field = No parameters for the second field. However, this second field label is has no spacing at each end, so that it starts really close to the value for the first column area and really ends close to the area of the value of its own column. I want to add a bit of space, perhaps to increase the width of the cell holding the 2nd label.

    The first obvious option did not work: add empty spaces to the label itself.

    I tried to enter s tyle = "width: 275px" and width = 275px in the field attributes of HTML table cell, but none who does nothing.

    Running on 4.1.0.00.28.

    Tags to preserve the formatting and special characters

    Creating an example of apex.oracle.com is the best way to present a problem, especially those related to the HTML structure, page layout and form, the visual style and JavaScript.

    I tried to enter s tyle = "width: 275px" and width = 275px in the HTML table cell attributes field, but none of these makes anything.

    Which HTML attributes table cell? With start on new line = No and field = no. 1 point of control, the point label 2 and the 2nd point control will appear in the same cell, with only the attributes of the 1st checkpoint applied.

    width=275px

    The width for cells in a table attribute is deprecated: use CSS instead. "275px" is also an invalid value for this attribute: value is a number that represents the width of the cell in pixels or percentage.

    The first obvious option did not work: add empty spaces to the label itself.

    Specification HTML load user agents to collapse the white space characters, so several areas will be grouped together in a single space.

    Round this is to use the non-breaking space character entity & nbsp; instead of standard spaces:

    {noformat}&{noformat}nbsp;{noformat}&{noformat}nbsp;Foo{noformat}&{noformat}nbsp;

    Another approach would be to apply CSS padding to the label by wrapping it in a spanstyle:

    Foo

  • recognition of form fields

    Is there a way to set the form field recognition so that he will recognize the boxes. Currently, I put a bunch of boxes in a word document and when I convert it places a text box in the area of the box. Also, is there a way to set the default value of the field in the form = recognition? Currently, he is preparing to make the automatic size of boxes and uses a square instead of a check. Thank you

    The form field recognition tool is to create text boxes instead of checkboxes for your fields because they are placed in a table and they have no text labels to the right. You're probably better off adding checkbox fields and then create several fields using a table. • Master cfgrid - detail form fields

    I have a cfgrid that uses data binding to display data (summarized) masters. I want the user is able to select one of the rows in the datagrid control and not only have the summary data show in form fields in the grid (which works well so far), but I want to spend the keyfield hidden in a cfc in order to run a single record to the detail data query and show that both on the fly. I used a cfinvoke to pass the field key of a cfc, returning a recordset of the query and display detailed in the form fields. Everything works if I hardcode the keyfield (diadocumentkey) integer and me can even display the keyfield in the form below, but I have tried many variations trying to get the selected value record keyfield to be used in the cfinvoke the EFA without success. Isn't this possible? Is there another way? I tried what all the fields to the data grid, but given the number of possible records is very large, there is a decline in great performance. Some users will read and some will be able to edit and delete the record. My JavaScript is low, then perhaps there is a way to use it. Following are excerpts from the code:

  • The field label to show the red asterisk to required field (graphic) dynamically

    Hello

    We have a form that uses the value of the element of an application to determine what fields are required. Using the validation of the page, we are able to enforce these mandatory fields.
    The problem is to get the chart of required field asterisk to conditionally display the label of the field.

    We tried the suggestion by Re: how to handle the label of the field to display red asterisk (required)
    It works but displays an asterisk in the text. We need to display the graph for the asterisk.

    To describe assume them have the following:
    APP_1 (point of application)
    P1_A_ASTERISK
    P1_A

    The default value for the P1_A_ASTERISK is a pl/sql function that checks APP_1 and affects P1_A_ASTERISK ' < img src = "" #IMAGE_PREFIX #requiredicon_status2.gif ' alt = 'Required field' / > "If P1_A should be required.

    If P1_A_ASTERISK is defined as hidden we get the html text < img_src... in the P1_A label.

    If P1_A_ASTERISK is defined as the display text, we see the graphic symbol in the P1_A label... it's good. But we also see the point of P1_A_ASTERISK that we do not want.

    Any suggestions on a way to dynamically display the graph of the mandatory field in some field labels?
    Thank you
    NANN

    Hello:

    You can try the following

    Create a copy of the label specified for P1_A model
    Change the section "before the label" of the template as shown below. Essentially, add you an id and set the visibility style attribute to the tag. You can get a graph of the image of your choice.

    Create a page with a point of process process of "On Load - footer after" with code similar to

    if :p1_asterisk='Show Asterisk Value'  then
       htp.p('

      ');
    end if;
