  Hi all try to format a variable presentation from a Narrative perspective, is it possible that this can be done by using javascript or html that I can stick in narrative mode.
  
  I want something like ' the date used is @{indate} to the end of the month.
  
  Date format must also be JJ.mm.aaaa... his currenty displayed as yyyy/mm/dd... I don't want to add the columns in my report and hide as there seems to be a performance lag when I do this.
  
  Any ideas... Java gurus out there.
  
  I tried @{indate} [dd.mm.yyyy..] but it does not work.

  In the answers--> in the criteria TAB, in the column fx use under formula...

  «case when 1 = 1 then EVALUATE ('TO_CHAR(%1,%2)' as a varchar (20), date ' @{pv_date} {1998-07-05} ',' dd.mm.yyyy "") else ' ORE time Dim ".» End of the name of the month.

  pv_date is the variable of presentation and

  For "ore time Sun. "" MNTH name ' use any column of varchar data type ...

  Hi all
  
  We use the date as a presentation and using this variable presentation of the formula of reports column, but in quick date format shows MM-DD-YYYY, but in the report that it takes like YYYY-MM-DD because of this difference in data format it is in error on the dashboard but works well in the report results. If we change the format of date as tank and giving filter user input, it works fine but users want the prompt value as it is. So, how can we change variable presentation in the changing column formula?

  Date1 is your variable presentation and make sure there is no space between braces date1 and date braces.

  If you are holdiing to variable date why you switch to to_char?

  Just use to_date('1900-01-01','yyyy-mm-dd') + /(24*60) 1439

  First of all, I am 100% not learning financial oracle no technical information. I'm trying to run a report: - the calendar does not appear in order for me to choose the date - not to mention that when I enter the date IE 10/09/2010 or on 09/10/2010 the system gives me this error "" error: Please enter the date value in the correct format DD-MON-RRRR ".

  It is a delete SQL in a driver of demand, which gives no error, but does remove all the lines either. I have converted the removal 'from' to ' Select * ' and may see the following error:

  now, if the number of lines is identified (by giving more number of emplids), it begins to give the error when the number of rows returned is greater than about 30. It is completely independent of what employee is used, so there is no question of data dependence.

  optimizercost_based_transformation = off
  
  
  I don't know if it has something to do with this problem.

  I think it is question of data combined with a not very sensible date format mask (it could fail when the null data, because of your concatenation with '01' and work when not null data).
  Have you tried with a simple TRUNC?

• Formatting string to date in BPEL

  Y at - it a way to format a string to date in BPEL value.
  
  I would date a string and I need to push this date value in Oracle data to a field that is of data type Date. I don't see no function in BPEL, which is allowing me to do.
  
  For example my entry of BPEL is ' 01/01/2010' and I need to convert this string in the variable of type date and assign one of the fields in one of the tables in the Oracle database.
  
  I use xp20:format - dateTime function, but it is also to give me the time that I am not able to introduce into the database of the field is specified as the date.
  
  I'm doing this conversion in the allocation and transformation process.

  I guess you are trying to insert in the database through the database adapter. The DB adapter always represents a database as XML dateTime date. The default format to create a dateTime is YYYY-MM-DD' you hh. To create a dateTime valid object to be inserted into your database with the given substring you would end up with an expression such as:

  XP20:format-DateTime(Concat(Substring('01/01/2010',7,4),'-',SUBSTRING('01/01/2010',1,2),'-',SUBSTRING('01/01/2010',4,2),'T00:00:00'))

  assuming that 1 January 2010 is in MM/DD/YYYY format. In the expression builder you will probably replace the 1 January 2010 "with a reference to a variable that contains the date value.

  Then I tried the below format I still get the error

• Error of variable data Type.

  I have a quick question. I'll put up a variable with a data type of number, when I declare the variable, it has a default value.
  
  I am trying to transfer data to the variable to an input text box but I get an error when I run the movie. I tried both a text entry box and a dynamic text box, but they both produce the same error.
  
  If I remove the variable declaration seizure figures series film and it updates the variable data but everything I read is not a good practice.

  the text property of a textfield is a string, so to put this string in a variable of type number, you must first convert it to a number to
  for example.
  thickness = Number (lineThick_txt.text);

  ActionScript 2 performs this conversion automatically.

  You can force numbers does not interpret the value as a number by typing the single quote... like this:

  First, your comparison operator is pointing the wrong way. If A is more recent than B, then it is greater than B, no less.

  Other that that, we do not have enough information to see the problem. You can provide more explanation and code.

  Now I use this variable as a filter in the source table in the design of the Interface as below...
  LAST_UPDATE_DATE > = #p_extract_from_ts where LAST_UPDATE_DATE is the field in the source database with date data type not null not forced...
  I have lkm hv used SQL for Oracle...
  
  Above variable refresh and interface scenario running one after another in ODI package...
  Variable gets refresh every time successfully, but Interface fails at the step of loading data... error message as below...
  
  
  ODI-1227: SrcSet0 (load) task fails on the source of ORACLE R12DEV connection.
  Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: parameter IN or OUT to missing index: 1

  put a step DECLARATION above all. After that in my opinion, it is better to put a TO_CHAR().

  Try putting your variable in text mode and change your filter in

  TO_CHAR (LAST_UPDATE_DATE, 'YYYYMMDDHHMI') > = TO_CHAR(#PROJ.) P_EXTRACT_FROM_TS, "YYYYMMDDHHMI")

  In your operator if you click on the variable whose value you see?
