  Hello, I think to upgrade my processor cpu on my windows 8 Pavilion 20, b010, an all-in-one computer, but I'm not sure because I don't know if my computer can handle it.   Hello, I have reinstall windows 8 for windows 7 but turbo boost does not work can't get over 2600 mhz. on i5 - 4300 m. It is in mode bios uefi? an essay on ac mode high performance. When I turn on lenovo turbo boost anything happen with cpu still 100%. performance index Windows on old t420 turn turbo boost immediately.

  Check the settings in the BIOS first.

  Also make sure that "State of the Max processor" is set to 100% "in your active power plan.

  I can't find out how to activate the turbo boost on my HP Pavilion 11-h112nr X 2.  I double-checked the product description, which clearly states that the (Core i5-4202Y) processor is clocked at 1.6 Ghz but can be overclocked to 2.0 Ghz with turbo boost.

  I can't find a setting in the bios or in point 8.1 of Windows that allows me to clock my cpu turbo boost allows explicitly to 2.0 GHz.  When I search the view of support, the only thing that appears is the fact that I pouvez use turbo boost, but no explanation of how.

  Is this automatic just at the point Windows 8.1 and I trust that it happens?  I have to update the bios?

  In addition, the HP Pavilion 11-h112nr X 2 is a tablet with detachable keyboard.  If this question is more appropriate for the laptop, let me know.

  You will not be able to activate this feature, since you are using a laptop computer with a BIOS that does not use this feature.

  The best you could do is try to find the settings in the BIOS or use high performance / setting for energy balance in Windows.

  OK, so roll with me here! I have a HP G62-149WM I upgraded to it is (out of the box) Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit for Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit... Then I went into page HP driver download to install the Turbo Boost driver well, as you know, it basically requires you to type in your model, you choose what operating system runs your make and model, and then it shows all the different drivers, right? So my question now is because it does not show 8.1 Windows as an operating system option, the Turbo Boost driver always works on my 8.1 win even if it was made on a technical level to work on Win 7? Thank you in advance for your time and your help in this matter!

  Unfortunately, this has not appeared to get coverage Windows 8.1 with respect to the drivers. You can try to install the Windows 7 driver, which might work, but it probably does not work well, or not at all.

  Hello milleras377, your specifications show the system provided with the Intel i7 2600.

  Here is the link for the specifications of this processor.

  The stock for this processor speed is 3.4 GHz, and Turbo Boost speed is 3.8 GHz.

  Normally, these Turbo speeds are enabled in the BIOS, and the BIOS of HP would not be a section to see this

  The link also shows that this processor the Intel Turbo Boost Technology Version 2. Therefore, it seems that you have the latest version of the Turbo Boost.

  Hello, I have an Inspiron 5520 who originally i3 2370 Mr. I upgraded the CPU to i7 3632QM and it works perfectly, but I discovered that Turbo Boost is not activate during labor. This is the diagnosis of HWinfo:

  

  As you can see, it shows that the Turbo Boost is not enabled. And my tests, I can definitely say that the CPU's maximum speed is rated - 2, 2 GHz without any still on the rise according to the specifications of Turbo.

  Problem solved, I loaded a [security] default BIOS settings. Turbo Boost now works normally. Looks like it was necessary for the motherboard/BIOS card recalibrate after replacing the CPU.
