  In this tutorial, she uses Site Preview in the browser as a way to drag the right edge along to see how the layout works in different widths. She has something she calls the browser tool, a little trick with a digital display which gives you the width of the browser, or the width of the page, where you drag it. It is a tiny digital display.

  When I preview, using Chrome, this gadget is not displayed, and the other pages of the site have tabs. Thus, even if the maximum size is set to 1200, the screen is filled.

  Any ideas on what this could be. I tried Firefox and it was worse.

  When you preview the site in a browser, it replicates how it will appear when published. It's something that you will need to add Muse does not add the Chrome extension used in the demo. Browser search width facing Extension Library.

• How can I get the preview in the browser icon while I'm coding in HTML or CSS?

  on the iMac to my college, they have a small preview in browser icon that appears in the upper right of the file, which I am.  I want this little icon appears on my licensed copy of CC 2015 of Dreamweaver on my MacBook Pro.  How can I do to do that.  I know that the long command, which is the file, preview in browser.  But there MUST be a way I can get this small preview in the browser icon is displayed while I'm coding in HTML or CSS.  If any of you guys, who are advanced & experienced Dreamweaver users in the creation of Web sites, please let me know.  I am currently in an Introduction to the development of sites Web I University of the Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne (IPFW).

  In the maintenance of our Web site, we use Dreamweaver MX. Recently, chrome has disappeared from the list of browsers to preview in the browser. IEXPLORER would have no lonnger loading page.   As RavenDesign mentions, just file > publish > Web, then download the file published to a folder on an external host.

  You can make a color hex "pipette" very fast easy on a Mac.

  First of all, download this:

  It adds the functionality of hexadecimal color to ColorPicker.

  Then open the Script Editor and enter the two words: choose color

  Save as an application (this creates a stand alone ColorPicker).

  Launch.

  Select the mirror of ColorPicker icon, the cursor and click anywhere to get a hexadecimal color value.

  I think that there is probably a way to make this app always float. If someone could put the AppleScript for this, I would be very happy.

  I'm building a site and want to preview in the browser, but always get a message concerning access to the test server. I just want to view it on my hard drive. I'm sure I put something wrong during installation, but can someone help me understand how to change settings? The message I get is http://localhost/Templates/main%20template.dwt.asp in Safari.

• HTML5 Preview in the browser does not not in Cp9

  I've been searching around the forum and couldn't find an answer. When I select HTML5 Preview for my standard project, it opens in my default browser, but I see is the animation of loading of rotation for a long period of time.   I got our staff COMPUTER to install a local Web server, WAMP on my machine to windows development. (Mac using MAMP, LInux uses the LAMP).

  Instead of the preview, most of my projects is published on the local disk and then access it via the url web as well as playback of HTML5 video, interactive, objects, etc. is activated via a real web connection between the browser and the server.

  I built my site in Muse, but when I preview the, there are white spaces of different sizes that appear between images and text.   Just a note: I'm build this page of my site as a portfolio to side scrolling. At the beginning of each "page", I added an anchor point, and I've added a 'back to the start arrow' so that the elements of different menu on the far left of the page (at the beginning) a link to their respective 'page' along the portfolio of horizontal scrolling. Similarly, the "back to the start arrow" menu link.  I don't know if this is part of the question, but it seems that it shouldn't be, because I got that simply making the page extremely broad and not very large.

  Well well, the standard answer (and I should perhaps store them somewhere as a copy & paste NOTE): you must use groups and other methods of structuring as widgets. Your items may not stick together because they have no container parent to hold them together as in reverse, they can overlap with because they have no logic telling them everything that is left, right, above and below. Muse is not a page layout program and you not post a PDF file where everything is nailed in place. dumping everything on the page without which concerns the way in which it will interact in your browser never gives the result you expect.

• Preview in the browser opens the local file instead of the url in DW CC 2015

  In 2014 Dreamweaver when I defined a site, I check it too remote and test server since they are the same. Once I finish editing I use Ctrl + Shift + u to upload to the server and if it is not still open in the browser, I press F12 to preview, and he opens the url. In 2015, Dreamweaver, I uncheck/remove the test server and leave only the remote server for so I have a defined test server, whenever I have downloads on the server automatically (which is annoying if you're not done with your changes yet or you have a little time of latency on your FTP connection). It's bulky, since it's a habit whenever I have some changes and download only when I'm about to test the changes. With the undefined testing server, when I press F12, the DW redirects to the local file instead of the URL defined in site settings. Now, I have to type the full url for each page I test. It is an approach back the previous version. Either enable in the browser preview, open the real link, as defined in site settings or please have an option to disable the auto push when recording.   First of all, you are right in your new configuration that remote and testing server should not be in the same.  It is not a good habit to get.  However, without a test in place server, DW will only use the local file to test because you don't want to push the Webcam page live on the server until it is complete.  In this case, DW creates a temporary file that you can view on your local computer.  In general, it is recommended to have a test server, if that exists within your local environment with local installation of WAMP/MAMP or Windows Server.  Or a specified test server environment that is not accessible to the public where you can test.

  In addition, to save them automatically download to the server and overwrite the file direct download or not, those are 2 settings to DW within which can be displayed/hidden.  First of all, in the DW preferences, there is a setting for "Preview in browser".  In this context, there is a checkbox to choose whether to display a preview with a temporary file.  If you have no other choice then to use the server as a test platform, you probably want to check this box to preview using a temporary file rather than overwrite the direct file each time.  Then if you go to the server management and change your test server, go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the box for "check automatically download files on the server.  This will disable the download file automatically the file on the server when you save, allowing you to download only when you preview and test.
