Gibberish

My HP C3180 All In One began printing gibberish.  Also will only print one row per page.  If I want to print a paragraph of 5 lines, it prints pages 5 - 1 row per page - strange figures and letters.  Tried turning printer and turn on, but it does not work.  Can anyone help?  Thank you

I hate to see this one goes unanswered.  This looks like a driver problem or a windows problem.  After all the first test stuff, (reboot, pwering downwards, then upwards), I would probably try reload the software driver.

Another test would be to try to print from a different software.  A browser, Word rpocessing, software, spreadsheet and see if you get the same result.  Do not put too much paper in it so it stops when it runs if it does the same thing.  There is not much info really the question retail.

I remember things like what is happening in the 'old days' (windows 3.1!) but I had no such problems for awhile.

Good luck

  • Downloading .docx files gets gibberish

I have Firefox installed 26.0 (although this has happened in previous versions). I lived all the previous questions on this problem, but none that I see. When I click on the link on the page above (a 2007 office word .docx document), I get a page of gibberish as if it downloads the file as a text document. I went through all the steps I could find to support fix it to without success, including resetting all values by default, etc.. .doc works fine, but I can't find anything in the Options/Applications which will allow me to change/add info to handle .doc or .docx.

Unlike Internet Explorer, which looks at the beginning of the file itself to reach an opinion on its content-type, Firefox relies on the information provided by the web server. In this case, the server sends "text/plain" and Firefox that honors. The server must be updated to send a better content-type for DOCX files.

  • Gibberish, loading up on some Web sites

So, for some time now, some Web sites have been appearing as pretty much gibberish. Just a series of things of brand black diamond-question thoes. I thought it was a problem of encoding, but I couldn't fix it, so I just used chrome for the weird site, I needed. In any case, now it has began to appear in more and more Web sites, and now finally it appears when I try to access my google account, making access to my impossible Email (on firefox). Here's a screenshot.

I still think that it is a coding problem, but my infernal fiddeling doesn't seem to be changing anything at all.

Any help would be great. I do not like the idea of switching to Chrome.

  • Title / "BOLD" fonts appears as gibberish

This has been an annoying problem with Firefox for the month for me. The police of some position or "BOLD" text on some websites comes out as gibberish, mostly a combination of foreign letters. Numbers of are displayed in a combination of MNOPQRSTUVW. Switching between the character encoding does nothing, but I'm usually on Western (ISO-8859-1) or Unicode (UTF-8). It seems not to be a problem of fonts system on my PC because IE and Chrome is able to correctly display the fonts on the same pages. I tried to search the fonts corrupted on my PC and have resulted in nothing. I also tried to disable all my plugins and addons of Firefox and it made no difference. Would appreciate input on this weird problem because I'm out of ideas.

This problem may be caused by the version of the bitmap of the font Helvetica or Geneva or another font (bitmap) that cannot be displayed by Firefox in this font size.
Firefox cannot display that font in the specified gibberish of size and display instead.
You can test in zoom out (view > Zoom > Zoom out, Ctrl-) to make the text smaller.

Uninstall (remove) all variants of this not working do Firefox, use a different font or find a version of real type of the font that doesn't have the problem.

    Hello

If SafeMode doesn't help I recommend you save all your data and reinstall the unit using rescue media. If the problem persists there is probably a serious hardware problem.

After using the media recovery the OS will be clean preinstalled and there should not be any problem.

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PRINTING GIBBERISH AT WINDOWS STARTUP

    Hi all!

My name is Steve and I have a question. I apologize in advance if I'm duplicating this question from another thread.

Our office has 3 computers connected to a router. The HP Officejet Pro 8600 is connected to the network. There is a problem with 2 of the calculated.

The question is then 2 3 computers (1 running XP Professional, 1 running Windows 7 Professional are booted up (off) to the printer start printing gibberish and going to print until its cancellation.) Printing will start until Windows has loaded the login window (user account screen).

Any suggestions? The major functions of printer for everything else.

    Hello

We use the same previous printer cable. However, we can certainly try another cable. There is no problem printing with any of the programs that we use with the exception of one of them, (known compatibility issue).

At this point, we don't know if the gibberish that prints to the windows startup is a problem with windows or perhaps the network.

  • Photosmart c4280 print gibberish of the new Macbook Air with OS X10.9

I can't get this to print.  It will show the page after page, a single line of gibberish for a simple print request.  The machine is a new macbook air with 10.9.4 IMac w/10.6 wife print wireless with no problems.  As does my son 7 windows-powered PC.  So I don't know where to turn.  I already did a reload of the pilot with the same results.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    No problem.

Since it can print on other computers, have you tried another connection on this 10.9.4 computer? I just want to see if that makes a difference. You can try to use a USB cable to check if you are receiving the same question. If you do not, then you know that something is interfering with the wireless connection. If you do not have the same issue, then you will need to contact Apple support for assistance. Click here to read: Apple Worldwide Contact.
