  Just had the same problem on a Dell PC with one of the same HP attached, mouse and it seems to affect Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The mouse is misidentified as a HP USB - C for DisplayPort adapter. You can right click on the mouse in Device Manager, click on 'Update driver', then click on "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer. You will be offered an additional choice (I forgot the formulation that I am not the PC a plus, but it's a very bland USB device). What to choose and say hello to your mouse pointer.

  Systems: Dell Optiplex 740

  Operating system: XP Pro, SP3.  Connected to the AD network.

  Antivirus: Symantec Endpoint Protection

  : Systems imaged with Symantec Solution Suite 2.5, running ghost console client, run office 2007, LotusNotes email client, Adobe Acrobat 9.0 pro, no odd/specialty software.

  The following hotfixes have been automatically downloaded and installed this weekend.  (The domain value autoinstall updated policy)

  KB2296011 KB2345886 KB2360937, KB2378111, KB2387149, KB982132, KB979687, KB981957, KB2279986, KB2360131, KB2418241

  System ran perfectly before the updates above being installed, applied.

  Symptoms:

  1 - log on to the network, sometimes connection takes hours (2-3) to load a new or existing profile.  This seems random, as some profiles allow an immediate connection.
  2 - the system does not stop.  Even if gone for 16 hours, it never completes the task.
  3. can access local systems within the network through a UNC path, but very very slow.  Can ping anywhere, ping also solves dns IP (google.com, yahoo.com, etc.).  Can't access a Web page than IE.  Curiously, install google chrome or any other browser allows web access - never through IE, however.
  4. can not view or change the connections of the network adapters.  Hangs and never completed the task.
  5 USB devices not already connected to the workstation before above patches do not load/install, even if they were previously on this system.  For example, a USB key that worked Friday does today.
  6 - when the screensaver activates, system is not sometimes recover.
  7 - safe mode with networking will run without problem.  IE works, connects to the web.  No hardware problem, no connectivity issues.

  Here is what I have tried, in all possible and combination orders:

  1. remove each patch listed above.
  2. remove each patch listed above AND any referenced patch.
  3 reinstall the SP3.
  4. remove each piece of software other than the operating system.
  5 - disable all services that do not work in safe mode with network.
  6. Remove and reinstall the NIC drivers.

  I am at a loss.  I have an image before the explosion, and it works perfectly until these patches are downloaded and installed.  After the restart, bam.  So, I can easily reproduce the problem.

  Does anyone have any ideas or clues as to what to try?

  If tweaking your third-party provider (i.e., Symantec Endpoint Protection) the firewall settings don't help, try the following:

  1. disable all components Symantec Endpoint AND THEN make sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled.

  NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #5 below.

  2 Uninstall "a security update for Windows Internet Explorer 7 (or 8) (2360131)" [or "for Windows XP security update (2360131)" If IE6] via Add/Remove Programs (make sure the box show updates at the top right) and reboot.

  3 d - c #1 above.

  4. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com . Select CUSTOM and scan | Install all security critical updates available (e.g., KB2360131).  If an update of root certificates is listed (possibly in the category of the optional software updates on the left side of the scan results window), install it to enjoy enhanced Internet Explorer security.

  5 reboot & make sure that all in #1 above is activated again and, if necessary, disable the Windows Firewall and enable your third-party firewall.

• App's Gmail stopped working on the iPhone 6 s! Help!

  I did have problems with my phone so far.  It was purchased last fall (2015).  Yesterday, I realized that my gmail App did not work properly on the phone.  I can open the app and it will bring to the top of the screen in the normal Inbox BUT it doesn't refresh or allow any new emails in.  If I try to write an email, it does not send.  So, I am not able to compose emails or receive e-mails, but I can always look at the old emails.  How to solve this?

  Update your computer OS.  iOS 9 requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which is not compatible with OS 10.6.8.

  Has nothing to do with the bugs, and it's not for lack of Apple.  It has to do with the fact that you are using an operating system on your computer which is obsolete and is no longer supported.

  After the upgrade to Windows 7 this weekend past, MSN Premium does not show my Contact picture or favorite unless I select "Run as Administrator" when I start it.  When I start it with "Run as Administrator", my picture of contacts in Windows Live Messenger, my favorites appear and the photo of the Contact displayed in the Panel to the screen.  Unfortunately, MSN work very slowly in administrator mode, mail is hot flushes extremely slow and Live Messenger every few seconds.

  This looks like to me a permissions problem.  Windows Live Mail has crashed with false file corruption errors until I used event ID Viewer files I needed to have the permissions.  Finally got my Windows Live Issuies known resolved.  This problem is the only thing preventing the upgrade to Windows 7 to be a success.  No one knows what files I need to add my username to access it?

  Hi, I have a Dell 14R with Windows 8, standard configuration.  After the automatic updates pushed on 06-04-14, computer laptop start behaving strange - not able to connect to any external website.  Home page only on a browser worked.  Troubleshooting auto did not find any problems. I restored the computer to the last point saved, generated an error "cannot restore', perhaps due to MacAfee, but solved the problem.   Then I disabled the updates for windows, just in case.  Did you anyone has a similar experience lately and was able to locate and solved the problem?

  I've updated for Windows 8.1 over the weekend, it seems to work great so far.

• Illustrator CS6 has stopped working at the opening

  A little more than a month, I had installed the trial version of Illustrator CS6 to try it. I had also done the same with PS CS6.

  I decided to buy and bought the entire collection Design and Web. After ordering it, I decided to remove the old trial to ensure a simpler installation of the whole package. So, I uninstalled these the other day using the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and then deleted records containing Adobe products with the exception of my software Adobe reader etc.

  I had some problems with Flash player after and a script in Word so I restore my computer to a date earlier and then just removed the strict minimum.

  Now, I just installed the new package and everything works fine. Serial number, then connect with Adobe ID and then install.

  The question is if I open Illustrator it opens but in seconds blanks out and a window pops up saying that it has stopped working. I hope that I can go to add/remove the computer to see if I could fix it, but none of the new programs are same.

  I need to get done graphics and really need to be able to open Illustrator as soon as POSSIBLE.

  If it helps, the exe file is in the folder of media files that I did not know that it should be in.  Is there a way to solve this easily? As a remedial program that can diagnose the problem?

  Please note that all other programs open: PS, Fireworks, Dreamweaver. But the bridge is not also.

  Just an after-thought. Can I uninstall and reinstall? Whether on the same computer, I guess that Adobe know that I don't mean to use the serial number for a second time on someone else's computer.   Try to delete the contents of the CoreSync folder to the title of the user library.

  (1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.
  (2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. (Don't miss ~ symbol)

  (3) then navigate to Application Support > Adobe.

  Open the Adobe folder and locate the folder CoreSync and trash as all the files inside.

  Then launch Adobe Creative Cloud application and check.

  If I understand, you are no longer able to sync your notes with iOS 5.1.1 use iCloud.  I'd be happy to help you with this.

  Looks like your iCloud for Windows has been improved.  If this is the case, then it is capable of syncing with notes running on iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.  Using these operating systems allows the most recent version of Notes to synchronize all of your devices. You can read more about it here:

  Once you have updated the OS X, it syncs notes with Windows 10 system.  The iPad 1 is not able to run iOS passed a 5.1.1 so he won't be able to sync with other devices any longer.

  Hey, guys. I have good news regarding the compatibility of the browser with Firefox 10.0 Record RealPlayer Plugin. It is corrected, two days ago but the technical support was not properly informed.
