  • Help with BC and Google maps integration

    Hi, I'm ready to go for paid British Colombia option so that I can have access to the web applications.  But before I go ahead, I have a few questions for someone who may be able to help.

    I build the site Muse adobe - this is not the last version of muse that I'm working on a windows computer 7.  All web applications in BC would work on the site for all is not the latest version?

    Also, what I'm really interested is to make an interactive map, pins etc. of construction at the back - is it tutorials that someone can point me to possibly help with a style to tell the little box pop up?  I looked at the muse HELP + BC and BC duo Dynamics Webinar on aidbc already, but I was wondering if there is more tutorials that would help.

    Also, is it possible to use a stylized map, or do you go with the default google map?  If you use a stylized map, how add you that to the web application of BC.

    Sorry for so many questions, but must know before you make the jump to a paid option of BC.

    Thanks so much for all those who can help you

    Michele

    HI Michelle,

    Muse can not and does not use or have access to all that's BC. It does not have access to things like e-commerce and Web applications in the sense of full capacity and put on the page. You can create interactive maps with the google API, web apps as a source of data, using the ability of location address lat and long or geo etc, but this isn't something you can do really Muse on its own.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps no longer works for my Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330. What is the problem with Google?

    For the last 11 months, Google Maps and Gmail have worked perfectly with my Blackberry Curve 8330 from Verizon. Tonight, all that has stopped working. I tried to load Google maps and failed. Kept getting the error "network unavailable, blah blah blah." I tried to restart the phone, remove and reinsert the battery, until I finally uninstalled Google Maps. Now when I point my browser (OperaMini) on m.google.com download and reinstall Google Maps, it says "Sorry the Google Maps application does not work on your 8330." It makes NO sense at all. Why Google would suddenly take for my phone? Is there a work around? Before you uninstall, I tried all sorts of tricks with permissions to edition without success.

    In addition, Gmail refuses to check email, sometimes say that a data connection. Also, which makes NO sense as I have great reception phone.

    My internet (OperaMini) and normal calls and texting capabilities are not affected.

    In conclusion: ANY possible to get these Google Apps for reinstall and work on my phone? Or has Google me screwed over? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • Porting Android app - problem with Google Maps

    I have an Android app I want to put at the disposal of users of BlackBerry 10 by porting to the Android Runtime of BB. The only stumbling block is that my Android application uses Google Maps API (com.google.android.maps) that does not support the run time. The map screen is only a small feature of the app, and I'm happy to turn it off for BlackBerry users, but is it possible? I don't want to maintain two copies of the request, somehow can code an application so that the conversion to the BAR works, but cards are always available on Android?  I made sure that the reference to the API maps in the Android manifest has the required tag = 'false' and check in my code, if cards are available on the device, but this doesn't seem to be enough.  The Compatibility Checker lists each line in each file of the source code where I make reference to a map object.

    Any help appreciated,

    Jonathan

    No, it's not going to work. Save you time trying to find a solution and just copy your project to a new and necessary modifications for blackberry. If you use source control, then you can try to turn to this probject.

    By the way. If you want to Google maps in your application, it can be done using a webview and Google API javascript.

    We use the Web of Google Map application and everything seems to work fine and when you click on a pin an info box displays the name and the address of this place.  However, the address has a bar on it and I can't understand why.

    I have confirmed the address is correct and the values of latitude and longitude in the webapp for this location are also correct. I see this on each spindle that I clicked on even though I didn't click on each spindle.  An idea on what is causing the address to display like this?

    Hello

    Are you talking about placing Google map on the Mobile page created in Muse? If so you can do this by either using 'Google Map Widget', either by placing the "Embedded Code" created in any site map.

  • Put Google maps on my Web site

    I am brand new to the Web design and I'm putting a website together mostly for fun what I would do is put Google maps on a page.  On this page, I would like to mark the locations (trails and camping) with a little information and a link to a page that would have more information.  In my view, there is a plug-in I can buy for $25, but I'm enjoying learning and want to learn instead of just a plug and play.  Except that even if I'm cheating and using Dreamweaver CS5.  Thanks for any help and sorry in advance for my ignorance.  If there is a site or an explanation step by step (including the code).  I visited google maps http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial.html#LoadingMap .

    My site is www.campingcoaches.com it's just for fun and some friends to share where they were camping so coding I'm working on my free time.

  • Google Map embeded in a Web page

    Hello to you all,.

    I've almost finished a site Web - but need to put a map of the place on the contact page - I've not done this before, but I saw different ways to do this - I see google (API) have a tool that can be used, but ive been told an iframe can also be used.

    Could someone please advise?

    I do not wish to be able to zoom in and out of the embeded like google maps map.

    Thanks in advance for your help

    Simey70

    If you go to google maps and create the mapping you want - there is a "link
    for this page "link on the right (just above the map).

    If you click on this you get 'paste the link' info or html iframe to incorporate
    in your site.

    Don't know if the iframe method is the best - but it will probably take the
    simpler - I believe that you can also change the size of the map - and you
    also be able to zoom in and zoom out

  • OS 10.3 / WebView: no interaction with the Google Maps Javascript API

    Hello

    Google Maps Javascript API no longer works correctly using the Web on OS 10.3.  On all the operating system previous releases everything worked perfectly fine in WebView but on OS 10.3 even if the plan (or view, or anything else provided by Google APIs) is displayed correctly, there is no interaction whatsoever with it - no response to taps, none is panoramic, no zoom, etc.

    I don't speak of the 10.3.0.698 Simulator - I do not have access to the true OS 10.3 device.

    Even simple examples of Google Maps doesn't work, try for example:

    import bb.cascades 1.2

    Page {
        Container {
            preferredHeight: 720
            preferredWidth: 720
            WebView {
                preferredHeight: 720
                preferredWidth: 720

    url: "https://google-developers.appspot.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/full/marker-simple"
            }
        }
    }

    The map appears, but there is absolutely no interaction with it - just a STATIC content.  On OS 10.2.xxxx, it works perfectly fine...

    P.S. If you open the same example URL directly in the web browser on OS 10.3 everything works well - responds to taps, she can be zoomed, panned, etc..    So, it's apparently a problem with user agent (which is probably the same web browser both webview).  Change the user agent in WebView to e.g. Z10 user agent doesn't help, either.

    Can anyone help?

    Your sample application does not seem to suffer the original bug, I thought. That bug could cause a WebView with no ancestor ScrollView would get too small window Visual and tactile input would be anchored to the Visual display window very small. If you want to learn more on this topic, see a tale of two windows - part for the discussion of Visual and updated display on the page. Perhaps your sample application it is OK because it specifies a preferredHeight for Web display, which can affect the used Visual display window.

    To be more precise, on a real device of passport BlackBerry running OS versions 10.3.0.1052 and 10.3.0.1154, the sample you provided responds perfectly to press ENTER.

    However, on the Simulator on OS 10.3.0.698, I can confirm input touchscreen does not work. Therefore a separate bug, which seems to be specific to the Simulator.

    I think you can be assured that end users will still be able to use your app (s) on a real passport of BlackBerry device, but it is unfortunate that it does not work on the Simulator.

  • Closer to 11 sites on Google Map

    To be able to find the location of Los Angeles close to you a user, I want the user to enter their zip code that could pull up a map with their nearest locations. Information about a particular location is displayed when the user clicks on a spit. Or maybe all sites are located below the map in nearest order of the specified zipper. Moreover, there are a total of 11 locations. Standard stuff. Is there a widget of Muse for this?

    If this is not the case, how about a card with all 11 sites posted by pin code and the details of the 11 branches below the map. The user clicks on a PIN and is a hyperlink to the place on the list with the information of the location.

    In both cases, I can also have a route, or am I REALLY ask for the Moon and the stars?

    Here is what the page looks like now: trial sites

    Unfortunately, the Muse does not all of this widget. This can be achieved using web applications. In case you use BC to host the site, please let us know. Search for app Web based on the postal code on Google map can be included in the pages of Muse at the end of BC.
