Graphic card disabled?

I have updated the Catalyst Control Center and ATI drivers for my H50-55 with an AMD Radeon R5 235. Previously on the Lenovo drivers Catalys Control Center reported that my graphics card is disabled, and that my primary GPU is the APU instead. I've updated, it is still not right and Minecraft is rather rendered through the APU.

Why? Is the HDMI port on my PC not connected to the graphics card? It is interesting when I update the drivers of AMD they change the name of the card in the device for Radeon 7000 Series Manager not R5 235. It seems silly that I had a graphics card just for the APU to take over.

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, figured it all! Apparently, my graphics card has an HDMI port that I did not spy on first inspection. D:

How to disable BIOS (or uefi or otherwise), the graphics card intel?

It is not possible to disable the GPU (no matter if its gpu internal or external) in the BIOS.
This option is not supported by the BIOS.
You can disable the internal GPU in Device Manager, or you can configure the settings to use only the nVidia GPU.
This can be done in the nVIdia Control Panel.

You go to control panel, system maintenance, and then Device Manager. Scroll down and look for graphics cards, click the plus tab, click on the model of integrated graphics card you have. Then right click and a menu appears, select turn off and that's all. Then follow the instructions on your new graphics card. Good luck...

    Dear all,

I have a HP zbook studio G3 laptop. I want to go to the Nvidia graphics card permanently.  I tried to disable graphics integrated in the Device Manager, uninstall the driver and allowing even the nvidea card chart of all profiles in the parameter 3D tap in the Nvidia configuration software. Non of them seems to work as the integrated graph is always in action and simple games could not be executed. I always keep in the option to high-performance mode, and the laptop is still connected. Should I manipulate the bios setup?

    Thanks in advance,

I have the version non-studio of Zbook 15 G3 which has removable video card. I added the video card after purchase and found that it worked just right if I went into the BIOS and set it to use only the nVidia card. However, because yours is graphic switchable I don't know that you have this option. Have you looked at even the BIOS? Press ESC you turn on, then F10

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB graphics card is disabled

    Hi people

    I have a Vista Ultimate 64-bit with SP2 PC.

Recently, I lost all the videos on the PC, so suspect that it may have been overheating I opened the PC and clean up all the dust and lubricated fans.

This resulted in the PC work again, except that I got the following error message:

"at least a card on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the vga card driver"

I then ran the MSI utility & driver CD and downloaded and installed the drivers from nVIDIA VGA and it seemed to install OK, except that the same message has popped up.

I had a look in Device Manager and two NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB graphics cards are always disabled.

Looking at the properties for two graphics cards (status of the device - general tab) the following message appears:

    "

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Click on 'Search for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. »

I clicked on the check for solutions..., but I don't have all the answers.

So, if anyone has any ideas on this problem, I would really appreciate it.

    Kind regards

  • Disable the integrated graphics card?

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X. So I recently installed a game called Wolfenstein: The New Order. And everytime I start the game I get an error known on the web as "wglCreateContextAttribsARB failed".

I know that the cause of the error is that the game keeps identifying my integrated graphics (Intel HD 3000) as the main graphics card so that I have a dedicated onboard graphics (Nvidia GeForce GT 540 M, 2 GB dedicated memory).

The problem is that my integrated card only supports OpenGL 3.1 and below, although my GPU supports up to OpenGL 4.0. I know for a fact that this GPU is able to run the game and YES I already chose my GPU as the primary graphics card under manage 3D, the global settings settings AND parameters of the program specific AND even tried setting the PhysX Configuration as the GPU itself at unsuccessfully.

I also tried to disable my Intel HD 3000 by Device Manager (couldn't turn it off via bios), but whenever I do so that turns off the display of my laptop. However, I have a TV that my laptop is connected via HDMI. If my laptop screen is transferred to my TV and I can not change/turn my laptop displays ONE unless I had to re - activate the integrated graphics card. Strange in my opinion!

On the other side, I ran the game without the integrated graphics card (when), and the game runs very well! CLEARLY the GPU (GT 540 M) is able to run this game, although the game is not identify him. Instead only identify the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 card or identifies the onboard graphics as the main reason any!

Need help please, I want to play the game on my laptop screen not on my TV... Also on a side question, is it possible to completely disable my integrated graphics (Intlel HD 3000) without losing my screen? If so, how?

    Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I discovered that a similar problem, I used to have with another game (watch dog) on the demanding game run my video card to support DirectX 11 for the game (so it never ran), now works correctly when I turn off my integrated graphics card and use my TV as my main screen! EVEN IF my GT 540 M is to satisfy the minimum requirements for the game!

You can switch between graphics cards - Intel low performance for graphic intensive application of navigation/less graphically and using nVidia graphics high-performance hungry applications in graphics resources like games.

You can take a look on the link shows to switch between the graphics card Intel and discrete graphics (nVidia, in your case):

  • DWM. Tips of memory EXE, resulting in aero being disabled, when you use a window on a driving instructor by a secondary graphics card

(I was going to the origin of this post in response to this topic, but it seems to be dead and, possibly, a different question.)  ( This thread is probably the same problem and has some information, but is old and sidetracked.)

I used to run two s AMD Radeon 6970 in CrossfireX, 3 driving instructors from the main videocard, without any problem.  I decided to take two cards off CrossfireX and run them independently, with two monitors driven by the second video card.  Now, whenever a window on a monitor driven by the second video card does a lot of update - like scrolling a page of MS Answers in IE or FireFox - I see not the use of the memory of dwm.exe rocket up to approximately 2 GB (it takes about 3 seconds) before Windows turns off Aero and returns to the Windows 7 Basic color palette.  This does not repro on the instructor by the first video card (memory dwm.exe use remains stable, Aero is not disabled).  I've been hunting the internet for everything and time now looking for an answer, nothing has worked, but I found a lot of posts on the same problem.

Other information that might be useful, based on what I saw:

    • All my drivers are up to date
    • All BIOS are up-to-date
    • DWM.exe is the only process that stings
    • I can re-enable Aero by him switch back to an Aero theme, and the problem with reproducing again
    • Scrolling or watch that video in IE or FireFox YouTube reproduces the problem constantly, but I can repro by continually moving a FireFox window, so it seems linked purely how drawing is done, the speed and how permanently.  I have same repro when scrolling in this text of entry for this message box.
    • If I stop the scroll/movement/whatever before DWM. EXE hits 2 GB, the drops of memory use down to normal (around 90 MB).
    • I Live Mesh, but I killed it and the repros still problem.  I also tried to disable the Windows Live display driver, but it did not help.
    • I tried to delete the DirectX under HKLM\Software\Microsoft key, which did not help.
    • Nothing is written to the system event log when this happens

    To summarize:
DWM.exe uncontrolled spike memory when a large number of drawing happens on a monitor driven by a secondary graphics card, with resulting Aero is disabled.

    System Specs:
OS: Windows 7 SP1 Professional, completely up-to-date (clean install - not upgraded to Vista)
Processor: Intel core i7 2600 K 3.4 GHz (stock speed)
    Memory: 16 GB DDR3 1866 MHz
    Motherboard: Gigabyte P67a-ud7-b3
Video: 2 x AMD Radeon 6970 2 GB (only the repros when you don't the crossfirex) (both cards must be running at the speed 8 x PCI-E in this configuration on this mobo, have not verified)
Monitors: 3 x HP ZR24w @ 1920 x 1200 60 Hz color 32 bit depth (horizontal, Center monitor is primary & driven by the first video card, others by second video card)
    Hard drives: Crucial realSSD C300 256 GB, Western Digital WD5000AAKS SATA2 500 GB SATA3

    More information available on request.

If anyone knows a workaround for this problem solution please let me know.  I'll post any solution that I ended up going with.

    Thank you!

  • What can I do to disable the Intel HD graphics card?

    Hello

I really need to disable the Intel HD graphics card in the bios of my Pavilion DV7 4085sf and I don't have this option.

I try bouth versions of germination of the bios for my laptop and nobody have Switchable graphics Mode in bios (the latest version is F29)

    What can I do guys?

    Help, please...

Not all laptops have this feature available in the BIOS. The notebooks have done. Switchable graphics stand is for the user to control the selection of the GPU by using the Catalyst Control Center options.

You can actually turn off the graphics card Intel HD by removing the switch automatically the boat and selecting your GPU Radeon HD. Once you have done this, the high-performance GPU will remain selected until you change the settings in Configure with the option switchable graphics.

  • My dv9700 use for video when the graphics card is disabled?

    Hello!

I've had my dv9700 for about four or five years now. A few months back I started getting blue screens with an error code of nvidia. Turned my video card went out due to overheating, so I sent it have fixed output card (reflow). It lasted me until now, but the card is finally out again. I would try to start each time, I would get the error screen and blue nvidia even code (again, it is a hardware problem is not a problem of driver/software). However, I was always able to access safe mode, then I disabled my NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GS display adapter through the Device Manager and now I can start normally.

So my main question is, what is my laptop using for video now that the graphics card is disabled? I noticed something called 'vgasave', but I don't know if that is related. Also, someone said that my processor could limit the video feature (?).

Second, what is the extent to which I can use this new video? I noticed that some programs do not run. In particular, I can no longer connect to my TV via HDMI. Is there a way to get around this?

Sorry for the long post and thank you in advance!

    The pleasure is mine!

You're stuck with the video produced by the MCP67N. You can replace the video module. They should be available for a decent price on eBay. VGA is analog. You will find a disappointment.
