Graphical installation

I have a HP Pavilion 500-214. I had installed a power SUPPLY Corsair CX500 block on it. I also bought the AMD Radeon R7 240 2 GB graphics card. I tried to install the graphics card, yet I get 6 beeps after turning on my PC. Any suggestions?

I have just let him 6 beeps and leave the pc running. It seemed that it worked like that.

  • Switchable graphics installation on G72 - a60sf

Hello, I first installed intel hd graphics and after I installed the driver ati mobility radeon hd5470, but he says now when I access intel graphics hd via Device Manager what intel hd ati driver. Is this normal?

Second thing, when I play games with open GL with Ati radeon 5470 graphics, computer laptop gets very hot and fans blowing on max. For example, old game counter strike 1.6. But when I use Intel HD, I get slightly lower but laptop performance does not heat. What can I do about it? This game is very old, and this laptop should do very well with it. I tried to reinstall windows, fresh drivers, all with parameters...

Third thing, that is, before when I put for example the Intel HD graphics card, it stays on even after rebooting, then its fixed. Now after reinstal, it automaticaly goes back to ATI Radeon 5470 and then I have to manually change it to Intel. Is there any fix for this, or it's like it should work?

    My specs:

    i3 m350 2.27 ghz processor

    Hard 500 GB 7200 RPM

Intel hd and ati 5470, with 1 GB of memory

    4 GB of ram memory

Thanks in advance for the answers. Greetings .

    Stefan

    Hi stefan8661,

If you do not have the ability to change fixed mode then you probably have it in the first place. To be honest with you I have not an answer to why it is running hot with the video card under higher voltage and cool running with Intel processors.

As to the question with her always come back to the ATI card I suggest only really do a System Restore when he worked or do a full System Recovery. May be a little extreme if it's not that big a deal.

Another option is that you can contact HP because they will be able to open a session remotely on your computer and can see something that miss me. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

    Hello

    Once again

I posted a response on your question about the graphics drivers. Already checked it?
If not, I will give a short explanation on recovery media, then again a link where you can find the software graphics driver.

Recovery media is an image packed installation of Windows on your hard drive. Which means that you CAN extract any software out of it.
You can only recover your machine with it and nothing more.

If we now come to the point where I give you the link (again) to find the driver you need:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

So please (again), check out the site, select your model and download your drivers.

And please: Don t post the same question twice or more. It s pretty when you post a topic and just edit the topic to add more content/questions.
This prevents the issues clearly and everyhting overviewable...

  • Workstation HP Z620 dual xeon: really only 1 6-pin power connector on the graphics card?

    Hello

I have a question about the HP Z620 workstation.

recently bought a dual xeon with 960 GTX installed on the 6-pin connector.

as I can't find any other power to use nor on the power connector

or nowhere on the set, I wonder how a graphics card must be powered only

    needs

    1 x 8-pin

    or

    1 x 8-pin + 6 pins

    or

    2 x 8 pin?

I know there are some discussions about this in this forum, but I did not understand

the solution. Some said there are adapters to go 6-pin to 8 pin (or 6pin to 2x8pin)?

    But how is that possible?

like many, I know, 75 watts are max of the pci-e connection, 75 other watts Max for 1x6pin.

so plug any adapter, 1x6pin for graphics cards that need much more power would be

According to the standard / danger, right?

and what about graphical installation double?

would be happy if someone around could help me with this.

    best regards

    Chris

The search box on this page by default search only this forum, and it is very convenient.  If you type "extra", you will find a lot of info.

The Z620 has two of these 6-pin cable, and HP got creative and molded into two empty containers down to the black plastic fan holder before.  So, one is being used by you and the second is sitting there plugged and similar, it is used, but it is stored just it did nothing... the fan is powered differently.

These extra HP 6 - pin PCIe power cables are not standard ATX... they are better.  The ATX standard is 75 watts can go up to the card out of the slot, and another 75 watts can come via the additional 6-pin cable.  HP 6-pin cable can do a bit more.

This is the message that you want to read, and there there details that were not in any of the HP manuals that I searched through, but the answer was on the label of Z620 power supply.  12V 18A each, plus adding info on some special HP adapters that allow you to take a HP 6-pin and divided to two 6-pin connectors or cable HP 6-pin connector 8 pins.  Watch here.

  • Pro 8610 Windows server 2008rt X 64 installation

I have a client who cannot install the Pro Officejet 8610 on their widows rt x 64 server. They continue to be inconsistent messages. I sent the link to download the driver for Win server 2008 x 64. The printer data sheet lists win 2008rt x 64 as a supported operating system for this printer. Does anyone have an idea of which could prevent installation? Is there a link for the specific drivers for this operating system, or the customer would have permissions set incorrectly?

    Hello

Installation on a server can not be done with the help of a graphical installer, installation must be carried out using an MSIEXEC command.

You can follow the steps below to install the printer on a server software.

The latest version of the software it below, then install it using these guidelines:

  • Windows chooses the wrong graphics driver

    Facts:

    I want HP dv6 laptop 7200 t I bought directly from HP.

In the speifications, I asked a graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 M with 2 GB of dedicated ram.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit in English.

Now, I didn't have much use for such a card chart until today - I installed a game and he pointed out my graphics card sucks and the game does not work well on it - he says that my graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.

I checked Device Manager and found 2 - both of the listed graphics cards graphics drivers.

two of them are up to date (I took care of the nvidia Control Panel to the other, and even reinstalled it just in case)

    Assumptions:

I'm not much of an expert in hardware, but I guess I have 2 graphics card - internal on motherboard (intel) and external (GeForce) - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

And if that's the case, somehow Windows chooses to use Intel instead of GeForce.

I also made sure of it by disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 of the Device Manager and my screen went black - guess that its safe to assume that indeed intel driver is in use.

    Question:

If so far I'm supposed so maybe my question is simple - how can I tell Windows choose otherwise?

And if I'm wrong, no doubt, I'm in a deep hole, what should I do?

    Thank you!!

    Alex

    Hey, Alex:

The two GPU is soldered to the motherboard.  There is no graphics "card" in any portable consumer HP at the current address.

Please read this guide to learn how to use switchable graphics with the Intel/Nvidia graphic installation program.

  • Uninstall Nvidia graphics

Not attending the forum often that I rarely had problems.  Plese forgive if this was picked up several times before.

Eager to replace my graphics to Add on card.  Here are my concerns.

    * motherboard has Nvidia chipset.

    * mobo has Nvidia on-board graphics.

    * Currently have a module Nvidia graphics card.

Replacement of the card is an AMD/ATI Radion model.  I want / need to remove drivers and the control panel of the machine card before installing new hardware and software.  I am concerned about relying blindly on the use of Settings/add / remove software to remove drivers and limit the reference to things attached to the expansion card.

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

    Hello

Yes, using Add/Remove programs is the safest option by running the uninstall program supplied with the application (the graphical installer Nvidia).  You are much less likely to delete something you should not use this method.

  • Early 2011 MBP 15 "dual SSD - lost with boot camp edition

    Hello community!

I lost my mind with boot camp troubleshooting during the last week. This is going to be confused reading, but I'm afraid I got worse... So please try to face me.

Starting point - of course I can install Windows 10 on my MBP 2011 early!

    Material

Early 2011 MBP 15 "with Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6750M

and the optical drive, replaced by an other SSD with a caddy

Of course, I didn't have an optical drive on the spot so I realized that I need to install to get the option to boot from USB - I did find. I managed to make a bootable USB from. ISO with UNETBOOTIN. First of all, I got score of huge problems with that I finally managed to Dodge with diskpart - software on Windows Installer USB after NVRAM reset before each attempt to install with CMD + Option + P + R, I had to also remove the OSX SSD during the installation of VICTORY for everything the world some boring as Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Unable to continue installation -problem.

    After all:

-> I managed to install WIN10 on my MBP education

    -> A lot of festivities fun! < 3

-> After installing the bootcamp drivers all active windows went to "invisible desktop on the left" (I closed the other workstations...) where I managed to lift one of the windows on the central office with lucky and "move" action (I have no idea...)

-> after reboot apparently drivers Intel HD 3000 went haywire and I got black screen on black with details in black (black screen Uni)

Conclusion: I try Windows 8.1 (pro) because at least he is supported by my Mac AND it has same installation and should work.

At one point I tried to use my old drive via USB to install Windows 7 and 8.1 pro

-> PROBLEM CDBOOT: couldn't find the BOOTMGR

-> I moved along back USB and WIN8.1

8.1 Windows Pro was installed easily, with the same procedure. When running boot camp display drivers turns black during the "Intel - graphic" installation period. I can confirmed that starting mode safe mode when the screen works, but I can't install Catalyst drivers-> so I can not play games that was the only reason for dual boot. In addition, there is no sound. So lack of drivers: no picture, no sound.

There... I think I forgot to say something. I was hoping just that if someone could help me with this problem. I lose my head here. I have not really direction where to go next, but I have a few options I can try after that I understand my morale of my troops.

    1. Remove my boot OS X SSD, switch my SSD Windows instead of him and put my Superdrive. So I would basically just install windows. Earlier, I had 8 windows work via the DVD and bootcamp.
    2. Try to play with the drivers on Win8.1 more
    3. Reinstall windows. There may be something wrong with my. ISO or USB?
    4. Delete the EFI to correct CDBOOT?

    Thank you in advance!

You must use Bootcamp Assistant for everything, including the form/partitioning implementation and the removal of partitions...

I would like to reformat the second SSD (on which should be installed W10) with diskUtility. Then start bootcampassistant on SSD1 and do all this.

  • Pavilion g6 2303su: update video card?

Hello.  I'm here to ask you, could I upgrade my video card on my HP Pavilion 2303su g6?  As graphics card Radeon HD 7670 M becomes older and older, I was wondering if I can get my video card to a newer model of AMD or Nvidia even?

And also if I might well want to ask you if it is possible to update my video card, to give me some recommendations or the same list of compatible video card for my laptop designs.

Any help would be really greatly apreciated!

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable/extendable 'cards' in your noteobook.

(GPU) graphics cards, are chips that are welded and their circuit integrated on the motherboard.

The only way to update the graph on your laptop would be to replace the motherboard.

But as the graphical installation program has your laptop is the best that HP offered for this model, there is no motherboards available with better graphics.

    Hello

You want to update the Intel graphics driver?

The internal GPU is part of the Intel Core i3 - 370 M CPU and Intel HD graphics Charter.

I m wondering why the update is so important to you, I think you won't get all the new features and you'll notice no performance gain.

However, you can try to start the graphical installation via the Device Manager.
This procedure should work, especially if you use the Advanced installation that allows you to point to the folder that contains the files to update the driver of the pilot
