  • Mercury Playback Engine active GPU is gray. Why?

    Hello

I use first Pro CS5 with a Mac Pro Quad Core x 2 CPU, 16 GB of RAM and EVGA GTX 285 nVidea graphics card and I just noticed THE project / RENDERING AND PLAYBACK VIDEO / RENDERER: Mercury Playback Engine software only (selected). It is also greayed out and I can't change it to GPU enabled on this page or any other project. Why? Is there something I need to do?

I have supported all the hardware and yet I do not get full use of the Mercury playback engine.

    Can anyone help please?

  • For AMD gpu Mercury playback engine

    Hi all

I have a Dell system, specs are as below.

    Intel i7 3.2 GHz processor

    8 GB Ram

    2 GB AMD Radeon 8670

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

Now the mercury playback engine (Hardware) option is grayed out. I have to use mercury engine software for reading only. I would like to know how to turn on hardware acceleration, when I m using Adobe Premiere or After effects? I m using Adobe After effects and Adobe Premiere version - CC 2015

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Deepak.

The first three screenshots are just what about the ray-traced rendering engine. This has nothing to do with the element. If I were you, I would check the box to never show again this caveat and ignore it completely. The team of After Effects considers that rendering engine to raytraced as obsolete and he isn't going to get any development more, so don't worry it. We have a much more powerful way to work in 3d with After Effects now. For a series of training on the use of the version of Cinema 4 d that comes free with AE, see this course.

The other two error messages are associated with Premiere Pro and SOUL, so I'll get over those professionals in this forum.

  • On Premiere Pro 8.0 Mercury playback engine

I have the old version of first Pro CC works well on my PC W8 using my GTX680. I discovered that I had installed the new Premiere Pro (2014) on my PC. When I started it up there was a message about the GPU acceleration and found that the Mercury playback engine option is grayed out. I checked the text file and found my card which are listed there, and I don't know what to do.

Finally, I was able to update my NVIDIA driver and the GPU of Mercury Playback Engine acceleration has been enabled for my PP CC 2014.

  • Active not material Mercury playback engine

I am a novice first pro CS5 user (Beginner) and bought the next video card:

MSI N470GTX Twin Frozr II NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280 MB 320 - bit GDDR5.  The 470 is on the compatibility list.

When I opened the Premier and go on:

'project' / 'settings of the project' / 'general' - and go to the bottom of the menu, the selection for the equipment / engine software mercury playback engine is grayed out, and it is in the mode of selection of software.  I can't use the drop down menu to change equipment.  I've updated my NVIDIA driver directly tonight too and that did not help.  Is there something I need to add (software) or something I need to change to make it work?  I read a post where they said I needed to load the CUDA SDK to work (from NVIDIA).  I forget something basic here to make this work?

    Thanks in advance...

That should fix it. Read here: Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update: bug fixes and support CUDA "Premiere Pro workspace .

Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) for Windows also supports the following graphics cards speed up using CUDA on GPU technology: GTX 470, Quadro 4000 and Quadro 5000.

Yes, it's for 5.0.2 but which is included in 5.0.3 (current) as well. Your card is "official." just need to the appropriate platform.

  • The Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration and activate mercury pass question

So, I'm working on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1 (my father built my desktop and here all the info I get off Speccy on its parts)

    -CPU: AMD Phenom II X 4 965

    Deneb 45nm technology

    -RAM: 8.00 twin DDR3 @ 669 MHz

-Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. CG1330 (AM3)

    -Graphics: VX2770 series j (1920x1080@60Hz)

ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.)

-Hard drives: 932GB Seagate ST31000528AS peripheral ATA (SATA)

-Optical discs: BD - RE of HL - DT - ST WH14Ns40

Now, recently I'm subscribed to Adobe first CC 2015 and I open a project file that was originally a Mac computer (the disc has been formatted to be read by the PC and I got this done before so thing Mac PC should not be a problem)

The first message, I thought "this project has been modified used with playback engine Mercury GPU acceleration (OPEN CL), which is not available or not certified on this system. Only Mercury playback engine software is used.

I didn't know what to do with that I just said ok, just the project upward and running and everything is fine except the audio continues by cutting. He will play for about a minute on it before the audio starts to cut.

I played a bit with my preferences and settings and preferences in reading, there is a setting that says "Enable mercury transmit." Thereby the option checked I get the audio cutting out (there are a few options with the audio device being Adobe DV or Adobe Desktop Audio sub and an option for the video device said Adobe DV and I can check or leave it disabled but results remain substantially the same.) Now I have it on Adobe audio, DV with Adobe DV checked and it goes a little long before audio cutting comes in)

Now, if I uncheck Mercury Select pass he plays wise audio fine but after about a minute, playback stops. Literally paused, it is it's not freezing acts as I pressed pause when I touch my mouse or keyboard.

I tried to do a new project and import all of the images in it to see if it would help, but the problem persists. My pictures comes from multiple sources, including a Sony DSLR and Iphones.

Please tell me this is a fixable bug and Adobe CC is not incompatible with the office somehow.

CineForm is a codec made specifically to be a "Digital Intermediate" or post-processing format. The company that created it was bought by the people of the GoPro and is used in some of their cameras. It is designed for the achievement of quality thanks to a multi-generation processing pipeline post, without loss of quality when a step is rendered on export to another station in the process.

There were two objectives: one, it kept ALL quality through export operations repeated at a high-end professional examination and two that it was like 'light' on the processor of a computer while encoding off to play as possible. So it is not nearly as packed as many other codecs (like most H.264 & tel) and puts MUCH less strain on the CPU. It's usually large files, well that say not nearly as big as as DPX frames-based form. Does a little more direct work on the disc reading process to have been a bit bigger... but... This is a place you should have excess capacity in your system. We rarely have spare CPU capacity.

To get it, you go to the website of the GoPro and download their free GoPro Studio, I think it is called and install. Who installs Cineform on your computer, and then you can transcode via the endoder that comes with PrPro, Adobe Media Encoder, which allows batch and same file transcoding and control things like a time for a process. Or you can do it via using Adobe prelude to ingest, rename and say: place the renamed files 'original' in a single folder permanent conservation while making another series of the same name but transcoded to X codec and laid in this case here to work with.

Of course, you can use the (Mac) ProRes and DNxHD/R (PC) to work with, and in their larger versions, less compressed, they work just as well.

All three codecs can be used for import in each program level pro, I know. PC cannot export ProRes that Apple will not allow the codec out of 'their' sandbox sand and DNxHD/R has been designed to work in Windows (although as ProRes, can be read / most of the Mac edition). CineForm works anyway.

And as always in the work of pro, we deliver an export of output in that to the customer at the end of the job. If the original codec of the camera and the codec to work when editing... does not matter. Other than to be a step in the process.

I have CS6 installed longer, so I don't remember the exact tree that he uses.  There are 2 text files, that you need to remove.  We're in the Premiere Pro installation directory, and the other is in the Adobe Media Encoder, a.  You locate the file called opencl_supported.txt.  You can find this file in the installation directories.  Delete both.  PR of restart and you should be able to choose OpenCL as the hardware renderer.

Cannot activate the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration.

Just bought an Asus GeForce GTX 560 it just so that I can use the graphics acceleration on Adobe first Pro CS5.

Followed every step of most of the tutorials like this great http://Vimeo.com/13440307 and still the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration option is always dimmed.

http://www.urbanistgame.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/CUDA-supported.gif Add the last two lines that wasn't sure if it took "Ti", he came "supported" in cmd after the 'Ti', so I guess that's what she held.

You can see in bold that I put the option Multi-display/mixed-accelerating GPU 'compatibility performance Mode '.

Splash screen confirms Version 5.0.3 (update to enable the Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration).

After all that 'Make and video playback' option is always used in output.

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

I have reinstalled CS5 on the bookdisk and it worked fine. Past 9 hours trying everything else sound was really the only thing left and the last thing I wanted to do.

    Results:

Rendering of a clip 32 min with Gaussian blur effect

Before CUDA, it took 4 hours and thus my move to buy a card CUDA.

After 23mins CUDA! using the encoder

    Question:

I noticed that the GPU is not pointing out that a lot still. Operating only at 30% of the activity?

  • Cannot change the Mercury playback engine

Whenever I try to change the playback 'Software Only' Mercury "GPU acceleration" engine, I can't. The section to change the Mercury playback engine, seems to be gray, like everyone said.

I have read and searched around Forums Adobe, but I can't seem to find an answer.

I just got the PNY Nvidia Quadro 2000 D. I know that it works with first Pro CS5.5, because it is listed on the site-> http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html.

I tried everything I could think:

-Uninstalled Adobe CS5.5 then reinstalled Adobe CS5.5

-Depth of bits Maximum Setected & maximum Render quality (from sequence settings)

    So my Question is:

How can I solve this problem?

I had a similar problem with CS5. I checked the ID of the graphics card has been giving to the system (CPU - Z shows for example), and I added this to the "cuda_supported_cards.txt" file in the directory of Adobe Premier Pro. He worked thereafter without hassle. My guess would be to check the cuda_supported_cards.txt file.

  • Issue of Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) [Windows 10 Pro]

Hey guys, I got a little question about rendering in first Pro CC parameters.

When I create a new project I can choose the type of rendering as Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) , but when I restart my computer and open the project file I see this message:

"This project has been modified used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) which is not available on your system. Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used. »

After that I'm more able to change the setting of rendering to Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) GPU acceleration.

I tried to use the manual method to add my card in the "'cuda_supported_cards.txt ' but no such file exists in the directory."

Here is the link to the method: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557

    Here are my specs:
