• Hide several pages unless the drop-down list is selected

  I have a 4-page form that I need to be able to hide 3 of 4 pages until a selection is made from a drop-down list on the first page box. So I have, for example, the pages marked:

  Page 1

  Page 2

  Page 3

  Page 4

  I have a drop down list which has

  Page 2

  Page 3

  Page 4

  for options and if no selection is made only Page 1, will be visible. If the selection is Page 2, I wish that all pages except page 2 to be hidden and only see page 2, did not 4 pages show and only show Page 2 fields.

  Does anyone know how to do this?

  The only downside to the activation of your condition is that the first page of the form can not be deleted. If you set page 1 "Hidden" will be hidden objects on the page, but the page itself will remain in the form that is displayed as a blank page.

  Attached shows a form with page 0-4 (5 pages). A drop down menu on page 0 and it controls the rendering of pages 1-4.

  Firefox 3.6, the buttons next and previous also had a drop down menu for me to jump to one of the last, say, 10 pages, I saw rather that only go back one at a time.   When I left click on the back instead of the browser navigation back button, I go almost every time to get the list of previous browsing history or it will just doing nothing until I click on the new button. The history of combination of button "return" rather than a separate between the historical click of the buttons box is the problem. Combined with my arthritic fingers of aging that is. If I was as fast as I used to be I guess it wouldn't be a problem. I liked the separate history area. This action combination navigation / buttons story scenario is problematic. I'm fairly certain that if I find it quite disturbing to bring to your attention that there are others (old beards) in the same boat I am.

  Yes I know that's what it says in all the documentation and I've tried about 300 different ways, time and the only way that they work and have a menu pops down in front of a youtube video that has been incorporated into the page was to put this in a YouTube video embed code. I tried to reorder the items inside of the layers, I tried to create another layer, I tried all of the documented methods that I could find on the internet and on the site of Adobe Web and none of them worked except for this code.   Ok. So first check the box that says 'Immediately validate the selected value' under the drop down properties, tab Options, and enter this code as its custom validation script:

  If (event.value == "A") this.pageNum = 1; Go to page 2

  If (event.value == "B") this.pageNum = 4; Go to page 5, etc.

  Adjust the values and page numbers, as required.

  OK, so I think that I fixed it!

  I first tried to remove the script ' ' to see what would happen. Which translates to the stop of the page class 'scrolling' to work, but then allows the drop-down menu to work as it should, as you say.

  I then put this script, but removed this piece of code in the file "agency.js".

  Close the sensitive Menu on the Menu, click on item

  and now it works fine!

  I have a page on our site where we used a drop shape with anchor tags to let the visitor easy access to specific locations within a long table of data on the same page. Recently, I noticed that the anchors are walking around is no longer the tags in the page but only the beginning of the table anyway. I don't know if over time a few additional codes may have been added to the page that is not in conflict with the form of drop down menu, or if it's something else.   Looks like there are a good number of errors html on this page, some of them have to do with using the code of the named anchor.

  Looks like you have placed the anchors between the openingand the child of the opening. Content cannot go there, move them in theTags and see if that helps.

  It could be something else however, html errors are one of the main causes of the problems of display/functionality. Visit the validator to http://validator.w3.org to clean up your errors. If you work with the code clean and correctly positioned anchors, after return and we can take a closer look.

  I am new to Dreamweaver CS6 and as I go along in the design of a learning site. Here is the link to see the navigation menu, with the list in the menu which runs through in columns and rows and a black line that appears when the mouse passes over a menu drop-down. I tried to create the same look but couldn't and am stuck. Spry has been used and how to create the list in columns and rows in the menu drop-down?   This isn't a Spry menu.  It's a mega Menu reagent system that seems to be part of a framework of Bootstrap.

  In all cases, you can not do with Spry.  Also Spry is now obsolete as Adobe he abandoned last year.

• Problem: InDesign CC, I can't click any menu drop-down menu, or click in the fields

  Just installed and updated InDesign CC on win7 x 64. In the dialog boxes. If I want to click with the mouse to say on a drop down menu to change inches. Nothing happens. Also if I try to click in a field to type a value. nothing. Ditto for up or down arrows next to the frozen fields.completely value when it comes to mouse clicks.

  I can use the tab key to jump everywhere and of input values. But it is a deal killer for productivity. This problem is also on the tool bar if I want to change the font, size etc.

  One of the reasons could be: you set the text size to 150% or more in Windows 7 display controls. Set it to 125% (control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display) and it will begin to work... Boring, I know... but this is how it works.

  I'm looking to use a dynamic drop-down menu to query a Recordset... I use Colfusion to import a MS Access database that contains the following fields: 'Date template', 'Name', 'Points' and 'target '.  Whenever updates to the database, the field 'model' contains the date and time, the model has been run.  I figured out how to create a drop-down Dynamics using SELECT DISTINCT 'model date' and have also figured out how to create the dynamic recordset to display display the data 'Name', 'Points' and 'target '.

  I want the user to select the "Date of model" in the drop-down menu, press "submit" button and then have the appropriate 'Name', 'Points' and 'Target' data surveyed and below.

  The application must take the selection in the drop-down list of 'model date' and then query the fields 'name', 'points' and 'target' for this particular "date model.

  I admit that my knowledge of SQL and Coldfusion is not the best, but it seems that it is a fairly simple task and miss me just one or two pieces of gear and put everything.

  The database essentially looks like this:

  My second paragraph speaks only to display the filtered data, so I guess that's what you're looking for, but not yet quite sure based on what are the other answers.

  But I'm on anyway-

  On your first page, note the instance name of your drop down menu, for example "ModelDate".  Make sure that it is in a form and set the form action on the page where you want to display your data, set the form POST action.

  On the results page, create a table with cells for each of the data items to display. Create a recordset that you can do in Simple mode. Allow to select all and the value of the fall of filter down to the database field that contains the Date of your model. In the box on the right, select "=". the next list dropdown selct "Variable form" and the name of the variable type in the name of the instance of falling down on the first page.

  I may not have the terminology right it's memory.

  On the data tab, expand your recordset and locate each of the database fields to display.  Drag each of them to the cell in the table on the page where you want it to display.  The cells in a table should be in a linear row.

  Now select the table row buy by selecting the TR tag in the tags just above the properties panel.  In the server behaviors tab, select the region of repetition and "All Records"

  Publish your pages and test!

  Not so fast. If you want to use Flash for navigation, consider this-

  1. some people not having Flash installed - what are doing?
  2. engines cannot parse links Flash - your site will not be
