Groups of metadata in the School Board Profiles

Hello, I'm in the middle of a process to be something and I'm a little lost on what makes Complutense University of MADRID.

OK, so I have a profile with 8 different groups of metadata, and I'm trying to recycle is the same page but only show the groups needed to this new type of element. So what I was trying to do was to use the idoc command < $dpPromote ("xMetadata:isExcluded", "1") $>, and it does not exclude the metadata of the form field (I think it's at least); but the group header is still there and not hide or show anything because there is nothing there. Now if I had to go to the Type drop-down field of rule change for that metadata and click on them as exclude that then the group goes, but now I can't access it on the form full that I use. I wonder if I am missing something either (pdf idoc does not really give much on the "field: isExcluded", or if there is another way to do this?)

You can also use the condition of Activation of rules (kind of makes a dynamic profile).

I also recommend to read this article: http://www.cs.utexas.edu/~EWD/transcriptions/EWD03xx/EWD340.html (very old, but still true)

Usually I would not bother to do this and just use Chrome, but I really want help to get my Firefox browser working again. Basically, a couple of days my computer has a memory problem, and I had to reinstall all of the point a to the top. All my software has been removed and since then I have had problems getting Firefox to work.

I reinstalled, but whenever I click on the component of office to start Firefox, I get the following 'Firefox unresponsive, please close' then shortly after I get the error message "profile is in use...". ». I created a new profile, but when it comes to the point where he must save my data in a specific directory, I get an error message saying that the file is not writable. So I select another accessible folder writable, and then Firefox works and let me.

The following problem I have, is that this profile information do not seem to save. When I open Firefox, even once, I wonder to make a new profile each time. I tried as administrator that works, but even once it does not solve my problem because none of my apps or bookmarks are saved.

Please can someone help me with a completely new installation of Firefox? I also tried the profile.ini thing, but that has not worked for me either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated; not having does not access puts a damper on my productivity.

  • No custom not to disturb School Board Profiles

So I get it that the alarms are things that usually you want to hear even when a device is set to silent. It is also bad precedent to change the default values on a BONE. What I don't get is studied silence and lack of innovation Apple when it comes to places you might want to adapt a do not disturb the function of a social/business situation. A user must be able to create a profile and decide which sounds, or other means of alerting are accepted for a given through a multi selection list type. As today is a legitimate category of use cases are ignored. Or is there a function (except later with an alarm deactivation manually and enablment) that I'm missing?

Currently, there is no possibility to change the profiles of do not disturb except calendar and what phone calls may be allowed through. All other alarms are silenced. Back to Apple goes here http://www.apple.com/feedback and click on the box in this area.

  • Example of planning an Application does not create a Dimension entity in the School Board members Eastern Shores

    Hi all

I created an EXAMPLE application in the planning and then makes a database "Refresh" so that it would create the sketch in Essbase. When I goto Essbase and expand the outline I see seven dimensions: HSP_Rates (3), Account (1), Period (2), Year (4), Scenario (1), Version (1), Currency (2) entity. It seems to me that not all members are appearing in the outline, I think accounts is supposed to have 19 members, in my case, it only has 1. Scenario has only the Member 'Current '. Entity has no members at all. Can someone shed light on why this might be the case? This is not how a sample application is supposed to be is?

When initialize you the sample application planning, go to administration > dimensions you want to see all the members?
If you have not verified the planning journal, I would expect an error to appear if the sample application has not been properly initialized.

  • change info student in the school of Apple Manager

After completing the Setup Wizard in the Manager of the school, I stayed with 468 students and 31 instructors. In the models that I used to download via SFTP information (using Filezilla) I've assigned each student in the class by giving them a grade, the class id and so strong. Each class had several teachers.

But all that information is lost when I downloaded models. Each class has now that only one instructor, but there is no students in classes. I thought the classes would be assigned automatically based on the tags that the students were given. It goes same for instructors, I manually add instructors in classes, even if I had already done so.

If I'm looking for some students, however, then I see that the level of appropriate lubricant have been applied. Grade level, class ID, class name, it is apparently not the same. So I have to reassign the correct students to their classes. I convert all IDs students manual, because I can't change whatever it is, when all is related to the SFTP post. Finally, I plugged the students for their correct classes.

Then I noticed that the wrong password policy has been selected for each student. Although localization at the level each student must have a 4 digit PIN, they now 8 combination of number of letters. And no way to change for the most part, I have to manually change 4-digit. Right?

Also this manual madness applies also to change the class by student news? I can't change the class to an entire class id?

When I change an info students or teachers in their 'Individuals' account information, (not correct namespelling) I also delete the old account of their class and have to fill the empty space with up-to-date profile information again.

Please someone tell me that it is really easy and I've just forgotten a filtering information / in bulk / dynamics of change in the option tables all in school manager!

So far, I like the promise of the ASM, but I was frustrated by it's steep learning curve (download SFTP problems) and the scarcity in the options.

TLDR / my real question: is there an option in ASM to filter multiple people, to change the settings in bulk (such as the method of connection setting to 4 digits for one class at a time) and to ensure that when the news about an individual has changed these changes are applied to all tables of data within ASM?

In response to my own question: I discovered that it is possible to change the password policy and other info to groups of students selected in ASM. I was really happy that I not rehook to SFTP or manually edit appleids 468 students. In looking at 'individuals', you can sort by rank or role, and make a selection of students by using the shift or command options as you normally would. You cannot drag to select well. After you have selected, you can change various settings for your selected group. After this, you can print the new password for your selected group instructions. Nice.

  • Profile Manager - failed to install the remote access profile in the domain environment &amp; multi-Active Network Directory

    Hi all

I am a COMPUTER administrator for a college and I am trying to fix what seems to be the last hurdle in getting the Profile Manager works correctly.

I worked for a while now trying to get the Profile Manager capable of pushing the device and profiles for Mac in our group network environment. I was able to operate intermittently, but not often. Most of the time I'm unable to install the remote management profile.

When you try to install the remote management profile, I give myself one of the two errors-

    The first error is:

The Installation of the profile failed.

The «TeleManagement (com.apple.config. » profile (Server.FQDN.mdm:GUID) "could not be installed because of an unexpected error < MDMResponseStatus:500 >

(Obviously server.fqdn and GUID are placeholders for their actual values)

    The second mistake is:

The Installation of the profile failed.

Failed to contact the Protocol SCEP server to ""http://server.fqdn: 1640/CEP / "."

The server Mac OS X 10.11.4 works

OS X Server is version 5.1

Client Mac is for most running 10.10.4

Here's a quick run down on the environment and the steps I have already taken to solve the problem.

    • The network is an Active Directory with several networks multi-domain environment. I mainly work with two different networks, each associated with one of the two areas.
    • The Mac server hosting the Profile Manager is a Mac Pro. The two network cards is used, each on one of the two networks. The Mac server is joined to the domain in the primary forest.
    • I opened all the ports and IP ranges for Apple's Push Notification service for two on our firewall and tested networks between the two networks to ensure that the AFN is accessible.
    • I created a static DNS entry for the server in the DNS zone for the main domain. I also have a separate DNS zone for the DNS record for the interface on the secondary network. I also confirmed that Macs see the correct IP address of the Mac server for their network.
    • I tried to change the settings for network access for the Profile Manager. The first error seems to happen when the Profile Manager are restricted to the network the Mac client is not connected. This same error also occurs if I open Manager profile access to "all networks".
    • I have experiemented with the different certificate types. In general, I use the self-signed certificates that are generated automatically. In this scenario, I install the profile Trust first (which works seamlessly regardless of network or domain). I also tried to use a certificate for Code signing signed with our own CA to sign the profile of remote management. The same errors will occur no matter what certificates are used.
    • The second error occurs when the access profile manager is limited to the same network that is connected to the Mac client
    • I ran Wireshark captures on several client computers, as well as on the Mac server interfaces and haven't seen any traffic blocked or rejected that seemed related to the Profile Manager
    • I've deleted and rebuilt my OD master
    • I also scoured newspapers for clues Profile Manager and haven't found much
    • In addition, I have also studied the problem and error codes/etc widely and have not found a lot of useful information
    • I don't know there are any other troubleshooting steps I took as well, but I've been question bout this for awhile and I don't remember everyone.

That's a strange thing - I had it working for Mac on the main network and the domain. However, I discovered that the Mac on the secondary network and the field was unable to download the profile of remote management. This is when I started to change the Profile Manager, access network, which eventually introduce the problem on Macs connected to the primary/field of experimentation network. Change access return settings in Profile Manager does not restore functionality for pimps who worked.

Another thing odd in this test scenario all - Mac on the network high school/area would not install remote profile unless management I temporarily moved it to the main network (I do not untie / reassign to one the main domain on these Macs) I could get the profile of remote management to install and then pushing profiles has worked. Even more strange, it's the Mac that I had to move temporarily secondary network to the main network to allow remote management profile install only works always as long as the Profile Manager are restricted to the secondary network and 'the Mac'. However, Macs in the same room, on the same network in the same field, using the exact image even get the errors described above.

The only thing I have not yet done is delete/reconstruction Profile Manager. I would really like to avoid this if possible. Solutions that involve something like Casper or other software integration AD for Macs are also a non-starter.

I'm happy to elaborate if necessary. I appreciate the help.

Okay, I think I can find the root cause.

Before this discovery, I had completely rebuilt Profile Manager. Now, I managed by pushing the management profile remote for Mac in the two fields/networks. However, many of them still refuse to install remote management profile.

Macs who encounter the problem are all were imaged using NetRestore using an image captured from an another similar iMac. IMac even that was used to build the image has now been reassigned in a test of Mac. I found that when you attempt to register one of the Mac who had received this image it shows already as "registered" when you go to "mydevices" on my Mac server. I also noticed that they all have the serial number of the test Mac when viewing their "register". Among the issues of Macs, I activated the lock of the device from the page "mydevices" for the so-called problematic Mac registered (showing the serial number of the iMac used to create the image) and it locked the iMac used to create the image - not the Mac issue.

This tells me that the CID (or Mac equivalent) is set on the Mac CID used to create the image for all of the Mac said image was deployed to. If it's a Windows box I have a sysprep prior to deployment or could perform a rearm after the fact. I am unaware of how to perform similar functions in OS X.

I tested also since on some Macs that do not have this image, and they are able to register and install the profile of Managing remotely with success.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to reset the CID (the computer ID) under OS X, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

  • Control the access of the user for the SSL VPN profile.

I have two ssl vpn profile, can I restricted the user to access only ssl vpn profile, when they get to the page of the ssl vpn service. Each profile to create different types of access, and they will have different client IP address.

    Hello

Yes, using different ways; one of them is using group-lock, which is a simple check to validate if the Tunnel group or the connection profile as you called it with that sign corresponds to what you have defined under group policy. If the value of Tunnel-Group-Lock (condition true), the VPN remote access session is allowed to install;  otherwise the session is not allowed to be implemented.

The tunnel-group-lock featurecan be defined as follows:

    • via the group-policy setting locally on ASA
    • via the LDAP attribute
    • via the Radius attribute

  • Customize the default user profile in Windows 7

    Hi all

"With our XP pool view we could make all our customizations you made to the image of the master then go in" System Properties "->"Advanced"->"User profiles"and copy the profile of the user of the model in the folder"Default User"hidden under"C:\Documents and Settings"and all new domain users who have logged in our pool of non-persistent linked clone would get all the customizations... nice and easy.

With Windows 7, the option to copy the profile is grayed out. To work around this problem, we found that we could use sysprep and that it points to a file with the option < CopyProfile > unattend.xml and need customizations, realize you the local administrator and copy them into the C:\Users\Default user profile. Here is the command that we would run

    C:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe/OOBE/redemarrer / generalize /unattend:c:\scripts\unattend.xml

Subsequently he will reactivate the local administrator account, but it worked well... until we realized that we could only run sysprep about 3 times and then we would have a limit trying to rearm! Has anyone found an easy way to customize the default user profile without falling on these issues?

We tried to make as many customization we can with group policy, but we seem to have hit a wall

We use free software called DefProf made by ForensiT.

  • Adding users to a group of construction using the command line tool

    Hello
Please forgive me if this is in the wrong category/forum, I can't seem to find one for Oracle Portal. I wonder if someone could help me with this issue please?

I am trying to automate the adding users to a group of portal, entries already exist for users in the OID.
With the help of the following ldapmodify command:

    ldapmodify h myhost.company.com Pei 389 - D cn = sleep w f /home/modify.ldif password

where /home/modify.ldif has the following entries:-

DN: cn = User1, cn = Users, dc is company, dc = com
    ChangeType: modify
    Add: orcldefaultprofilegroup
orcldefaultprofilegroup: cn = groupname, cn = portal. 090112.174408.194907000, cn = groups, dc = company, dc = com

DN: cn = User2, cn = Users, dc is company, dc = com
    ChangeType: modify
    Add: orcldefaultprofilegroup
orcldefaultprofilegroup: cn = groupname, cn = portal. 090112.174408.194907000, cn = groups, dc = company, dc = com

The ldapmodify script puts the specified group in the field "Default group" of the 'Edit portal user profile' page in the portal, which is fine. However it is not in fact add the user to the group. When I check the list of the members of the users group are not listed. Also the group is not listed under the existing users group membership "in the"Edit user"page. Also, when I try to connect to the portal as users, I get the error message "you are not authorized to perform this operation. (WWC-44131) "

How can I add users to a group membership by using the command line tool?

    Thank you.

    M

Your LDIF file must change the group entry and no input from the user.

    something like

DN: cn = portal. 090112.174408.194907000, cn = groups, dc = company, dc = com
    ChangeType: modify
    Add: uniqueMember
