GSoap

There is an article on the construction of the gsoap library:

http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Cascades-development-knowledge/using-gSoap-in-a-Cascades-C-PR...

However, it only targets linux/mac and is quite short in the part of the description.

Can someone build for use on bb10 gsoap library and share the resulting please?

Sorry for the late reply, but I got an error when compiling and when back on the forums (it seems that the forums blocking the IP to the Viet Nam, I don't know why). Here's the lib. I do not have any device (DAC is unable to ship to the Viet Nam) so you should consider it. This concerns only ARM https://www.dropbox.com/s/5edsl3xv9hacsp0/libgsoap.rar

    Hi all!

    I have been using gSOAP to connect to a Web service on a simulator and it worked very well. Working on a peripheral Alpha BB10 real is another story: no error when compiling messages have been posted, but I get:

    purpose of free malloc that isn't allocated:/builds/BB10_0_04-Worldbuild/latest/svn/lib/c/alloc/dlist.c:1072

    When connecting to the Web service.

    Clues?

    OK, now I don't really know what it was... I built the app again from scratch, leaving only the soap with gSOAP libraries client and it works perfectly! After adding the Web service code to the main application it works always (at the time on the device Simulator and alpha).

    As for now, only the http connection, soon I'll have to go to https...

  • With the help of gsoap/C++ web SDK problem reconfiguring the Virtual Machine

    Hi all, I m using gsoap/C++ with web service sdk to monitor virtual machines.

    I m able to enumerate the current list of virtual machines, total number of vm. Now I m trying to reconfigure the virtual machine. My Code snippet is as below.

    The virtual machine is running and I m trying to change the ram, I did it using java api and it doesn't butfor c ++ it is in error.

    ns1__VirualMachineConfigSpec vmSpec;

    ival long 64;

    vmSpec - & gt; memoryMB = & ival;

    ns1__ReconfigVMRequestType reconfigVMRequestType;

    reconfigVMRequestType.spc = & vmSpec;

    reconfigVMRequestType._USCOREthis = vmObject - & gt; obj; managed object - virtual machine

    NS1_ReconfigVM_USCORETaskResponse reconfigVMResponse;

    ns1__ManagedObjectReference * morResult = 0;

    If (vim - & gt; __ns1__ReconfigVM_USCORETask (reconfigVMRequestType, & reconfigVMResponse) == SOAP_OK) {}

    morResult = reconfigVMResponse.returnval;

    } else cost & lt; & lt; "Unable to machine virtual reconfig." & lt; & lt; ENDL;

    Now in vSphere Client it show me error like.

    The operation is not supported on the object.

    And on server esxi in file /var/log/vmware/hostd.log it not show gives following error.

  • Help me to integrate the generated code in a project of ndk/cascades

    Please ignore my expert status because it is only related to java, my knowledge of c / c ++ is mainly going back to University.

    My goal:

    Call a function on the services Web Microsoft Exchange (EWS).

    What I'm trying:

    (1) I downloaded Wsutil.exe, a tool for generating a wsdl c code

    See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd430644(v=vs.85).aspx

    (it's in the windows SDK

    (2) I call the utility with the Exchange webservice wsdl/xsd, it generates several c-h-files and

    (3) I have open Momentics with sample hellocascades

    (4) I throw all files c/h in the CBC hellocascades folder, add #include to the three h files generated and press compilation

    (5) I get a lot of mistakes, for example 'WCHAR' does not designate a type

    Is it possible that the generated code is only for Visual Studio and Momentics needs of other imports or something like that?

    I have attached the thus generated code classes (wsdl and xsd) Web services, but no Wsutil.exe and wsutilhelper.dll I don't like executables sent by unknown people myself.

    I know this isn't the best way to start, but I need a real target and compile helloworld does not give me a thing.

    If someone had a little bit of time to give me some advice here, I would be grateful.

    I have renounced the wws, does dependency after dependency, and even with the full SDK installed, I have not found all the required files h.

  • How to use QtSoap to analyze service asmx web?

    Hello

    can QtSoap analyze the wsdl? I had problem with the header of web service, then

    I tried to use gsoap but I do not know how to integrate gsoap in project of cascade of bb...

    Thank you very much.

    Victor

    as qtsoap doesn't generate code, you can analyze most Web services with it.

    gsoap is not compatible with bb10, unfortunately.
    I use KDSoap for a more complex project, but it's a commercial framework.

  • Try QtSoap

    Hello

    I'm still trying to use a webservice soap of bb10. As my gsoap attempts failed and I don't have a response of the people to kdsoap yet I followed a tip from Mark Sohm and I tried to QtSoap, which seems to be a simple (and abandoned) soap implementation based on Qt: http://doc.qt.nokia.com/solutions/4/qtsoap/index.html

    I use the example of the population to

    http://Qt.Gitorious.org/Qt-solutions/Qt-solutions/trees/master/qtsoap

    I'm able to use the webservice with soapUI, so it seems to be very well:

    http://www.abundanttech.com/webservices/population/population.asmx?WSDL

    I created a new project and add classes. The project compiled (with a warning) and is running, but I do not get a response from the Web service, the application seems to crash.

    Here is the result:

    By raising the population of the Afghanistan...
    QWidget: Cannot create a QWidget when no GUI is used

    The first line is a qdebug exit. the second line is a critical error, or is the wrong thing?

    I joined the project as a zip (created using export file / archive)

    HA, I found the error myself!

    QApplication seems to imply that there must be a GUI, if I share it to QCoreApplication I get webservice response.

    By raising the population of the Afghanistan...
    The Afghanistan has a population of 30,420,000 (last updated in 2012)

    Hello

    I want to use a soap Web service.

    So far, I tried (without success) wws and am now explore gSOAP (http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/soap.html)

    It generated classes with success and I don't get any errors displayed (I just added all generated classes in the src folder), but the generation fails with:

    make [1]: * [release-all] error 2
    make: * [device] error 2

    no idea how I can get the code to compile?

    Or is - what someone else has experience using a Web SOAP with the NDK?

    I managed to build the project.
    has taken about four hours with two other C developers to get all libraries and files in place.

  • Exception when using JAX - RPC

    Hi all!
    I'm developing a web service client for society (pearls running 4.3) BB devices. Got the file from the server (generated gSOAP) WSDL, generated high heels using Sun WTK s 2.5.1' wscompile, started the MDS Simulator, wrote a main program, an input screen (for input parameters) and an output screen (for results), began the JDE 4.3 debugger and obtained
    javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException - java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 0 > = 0
    from the line of calling the operation.

    Using NetBeans, I created then a midlet to Web Services client using the WSDL file which worked immediately. Taking the source (essentially generated) files and pushing them into the JDE gave the same exception as shown above.

    Someone at - he seen this before?

    TIA,
    Martin

    OK, so never mind...

    I've implemented my Web Service client using kSOAP.

  • VSphere APIs and compatibility ESX

    I've implemented the backup of a VMWare VM and application of recovery with vSphere API and VDDK. The development has been done entirely on 5.0 ESX servers. The following discussion provides an overview of how I implemented the restoration.

    http://communities.VMware.com/message/2130483#2130483

    When another person has tested my application, he noted the rollback feature does not work. When I've debugged, I found parameter spec unit to CreateVM_Task behaves differently 5.0 Esx to Esx 4.0. In the case of Esx 5.0, it works perfectly, where as in the case of Esx 4.0, none of the devices that I fill before the CreateVM_Task is created and the restore fails because of this.

    How can I understand the compatibility of the Esx and the vSphereAPI versions? I assumed that the SDK should be retro-compatible with Esx Server? Can someone shed some light how this problem can be solved?

    Thank you

    . / Siva.

    Hi Siva,

    That sounds good, maybe, we'll get you going even faster than I expected:

    As already noted William

    lamw wrote:
    but in general, the more recent editions of vSphere will support previous editions of vSphere. vSphere 5.1 supports vSphere 4.x and 5.0

    the only thing being that if new properties are added to a data in 5.1 object then you can not use in 4.x or 5.0.

    It seems to me that your code is based on 5.0 WSDL generated by gsoap stubs. It is ultimately you generate SOAP requests that are supposed to work with 5.0, 5.1, 6.x one as well now. Yet, when he delivers the SOAP messages to 4.x, it is likely that you include a property that is not defined in the WSDL of 4.x.

    Attached is a diff of the definition WSDL VirtualMachineConfigSpec of 4.0 to 5.0 Quick. Look at line 27 and following

    27
    ====
          !>
    ====
    28

    Here, you can see that numCoresPerSocket property was not available in 4.0, but was added in 5.0. It is also what we said the documentation centre: for vSphere API 5.0.

    You declare that numCPUs is affected but memoryMB not. Between the two numCoresPerSocket has been inserted to 5.0. It seems that the 4.0 Server reads your VirtualMachineConfigSpec until numCPUs then encounter numCoresPerSocket and abandoned.

    So far my theory.

    What I don't understand is that this seems to happen in silence as you don't declare any exception. Yet, says William

    wlam wrote:
    As you know, there will be new properties in new versions of vSphere such as 5.1, that if you try to assign to an older version of vSphere, it will throw an unknown error...

    As you can learn from the attached diff we serveral more properties that have been added to the 5.0. Might well want to comment on all those in your current code and re-run CreateVM_Task against server 4.0.

    Perhaps this might solve the problem.

  • "The session is not authenticated." all in createContainerView

    Hello

    I use gSOAP (http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~engelen/soap.html) to create stubs of the vim.wsdl file provided by vmware sdk C++. Using these heels, I wrote a simple client application that starts with extract service content (using the retrieveServiceContent method) and then connects to the vcenter Server (using the connection method that takes the ManagedObjectReference of sessionManager returned by retrieveServiceContent(), username and password).

    But after that when I call the createContainerView method to create a view of the VirtualMachines, it returns the SOAP_FAULT:

    SOAP 1.1 fault: "': ServerFaultCode [no sub]
    "The session is not authenticated.

    What is the way to authenticate a session? Kindly guide me on this.

    I spent a lot of time on this a few years ago, but I didn't spend much time on this topic recently... I've maybe rusty.  If I recall, however, the session not authenticated (assuming that your configuration is correct) is usually a failure to include the WITH_COOKIES macro in the build process.

    Keep in mind, all compilation gSOAP products as well as your executable program must include WITH_COOKIES.

    You will need - DWITH_OPENSSL-DWITH_COOKIES.  I used to include - DWITH_GZIP, but I have never tested the GZIP support (should be automatic for compression).

    I ended up creating Makefiles to generate static and dynamic libraries especially with long compile times that you get with the huge vSphere SDK WSDL.

    I use gsoap and CreateSnapshotUSCORETask to create a snapshot and it works, but I want / need to wait the end of the entire creation.

    I can't determine how to see the 'task' once returned to create. (for example in other createsnapshot API returns a 'task')

    The ns1_CreateSnapshot_USCORETaskResponse has a point of return of type ns1__ManagedObjectReference *. No one knows what it is / is?

    My idea would be to get the task for the createsnapshot query information and to wait until it reaches the ns1__TaskInfoState__success State, but I can't determine how get a task_info associated with the createsnapshot.

    Any ideas?

    Yes, it's your ManagedObjectReference to your task object.  You will need to make a call to RetrieveProperties on this task MoRef.  From there you can see the current task properties, such as its State.  If you are looking to interview or slowed down the completion of the task, you can leverage CheckForUpdates and WaitForUpdates.

  • The possibility of suspending a snapshot via VixVM_CreateSnapshot?

    I took a quick glance at VIX API 1.8.1 and also 1.10 beta.

    I wonder, if it is possible to create a snapshot suspended through VixVM_CreateSnapshot as the only predefined option seems to be VIX_SNAPSHOT_INCLUDE_MEMORY.

    Via gSOAP creating a snapshot hanging is no problem. But the huge difficulty in implementing the WaitForUpdates loop...

    The use of VixJob_Wait is much easier...

    Sorry, no, VIX can't take snapshots of suspended. You can use the service API vSphere web or vSphere PowerCLI (if you have a Windows autour host).

  • How to get information from the owners of devices (NMP and Powerpath) using the VI SDK

    Hello

    I just started to work with VI SDK in C++ using gsoap. I am

    facing a problem. Using VI SDK, where can I get more information

    regarding who manages the paths. Inside of the VI GUI client we can

    see that in the owner field. The GUI shows if the owner is NMP

    or powerpath. Can I get the same information by using VI SDK API? I'm not

    able to conclude within ScsiLun HostMultipathInfoLogicalUnit or

    HostMultipathInfoPath Dataobjects.

    Kindly help me.

    Thank you

  • plugin and web service

    Hi all

    I want to make a plugin that call web service hosted on my server is it possible and how can I do?

    I need examples or tutorial links

    Thanks in advance

    What do you need to use Bison? You just need to run the command 'wsdl2h' and 'soapcpp2 '.

    You can see documentation on the internet on how to use the gSoap.like the following

    http://www.cs.FSU.edu/~Engelen/SOAP.html

    Even if, then you have problems integrating gSoap in your workflow, you can send a personal message to me.
