The NVIDIA GTX 780 has been abandoned by some manufacturers as new models NVIDIA comes out pretty quickly.

You need to open the PC and the inside to see how much room is available. Consult this publication of the article.

  • Want to 700-216: adding graphics card for HP Envy 700-216

I need to run two monitors on this computer. I bought an EVGA GEFORCE GT 610 card Dual DVI video outputs. Specifications of the card say the PC power supply must be 300 Watts and have 16 amp + 12 V available, whose power in envy meets 700-216.

Plug the plug in results in no boot, no video card or integrated video and 8 beeps.

Don't know if the card is not compatible, or the card is defective, or the PC has a problem. Is there anything I can check to narrow the problem?

    Hello:

When you install a video card no HP on any HP PC came with Windows 8 or newer of the factory, you must change both the BIOS settings before you add your new video card.

Please see this link for what parameters to change... you need to remove the video card if you have not already done to change the settings.

  • HP Envy 700-216 graphics Office Questions setting memory

My computer, running Windows 8.1, has an A-10, with graphics card GPU in the HD 8670 D processor.  I know that it uses system memory.  I have found that it was using 768 MB on the 12 GB PC12800 RAM (1600).  I don't know where, or whether it is possible to adjust so that it uses more memory to my system.

Would be really useful to use a bit more, because I doubt I'll be close to everything medium anyway?  Can I pay, is it possible?  I tried looking in almost all settings, but don't see anything to get to this setting.   I noticed some things seem to take the activation in the BIOS, but not knowing what they did exactly, I wouldn't change a thing.  Also, I looked through catalyst and saw nothing there either, to adjust.

One of the reasons for which I had a processor A-10 (a series) is that I read later, you can add a graphics card, and that she would work with the GPU graphics to make for a better combined graphical experience.  But I noticed in the specifications of the motherboard (MS - 7778 Jasmine) the comment "If PCI-E card is installed you will have not yet boarded Graphics '   or something of the sort.  I was wondering what this means you cannot plug into these jacks on the motherboard, or the graphical part of the A-10 processor will just dormant?

Any help on these questions would be useful, as well as suggestions of the best PCI-E graphics to get.  I have a power supply 550 Watt here somewhere - just need to find and check to see if it has all the appropriate Sockets.  Thank you!

    J_Mike, welcome to the forum.

Video Ingrated will use as much memory system as needed up to 1 GB, I think.  You don't have to adjust.

Yes, the embedded video is disabled if you install a discrete video card.  However, it is not negative.  A discrete video card will improve performance as well.

The 550W PSU will be good for one of the new intermediate level video cards.  Most of them requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.

  • HP ENVY 700-216 crisis video

I decided that I wanted to spend my graphics recently.  I bought a 520W Power supply to support the additional powe of the graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 610).  I also had a DVI - A adapter.  When I plug in the card and connect the moniter, the power LED flashes and emits noises beeps at me. I tried to get into the BIOS to locate the primary graphics card, but couldn't.  I don't know not one time as I find, I need to change the primary for "PCI".

So, my question is this: How can I access the primary graphics card on this computer?

    Hello:

Have you changed the BIOS settings before you install your new video card?

If this isn't the case, which is probably the cause of your dilemma.

  • HP Envy 700-216: how to use the files in my System Recovery folder on my desktop?

I had to do a recovery of the system, due to damaged or corrupted Windows files. I backed up my files on 9 DVDs. System Recovery has restored the files in a folder on my desktop, but how do I use them?

I'm mainly interested in restoring my data to my Quicken 2010 and possibly my 2015 AutoCad.

    You are welcome.

The only answer I have for not being able to find the files is that they can not have been backed up.  Otherwise, they should be in the folder.  I have to be honest.  I did several laps, but never made a backup of my files.  I always keep my personal data, backups of Quicken, photos, etc. on the external USB hard drives.  If the data are very important to me, I have it on at least two disks.

  • Updated my graphics card

Hello guys, I'm going to buy the

HP Envy 700-056/700-216 desktop computer with AMD A10 - Quad Core processor accelerated soon and I'd like to update the graphics card I can play COD on it. Apparently HP computers are known for being finnicky with different graphics cards? I would like to know if the

EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti w/G-SYNC Superclock support 2 GB memory GDDR5 128-bit, Dual-Link DVI - I, HDMI, DP map chart 1.2 works on it. What the recommended power supply with this combo? I believe that this computer has power supply 300W

    Reconsister2, welcome to the forum.

If it's the video card that you want to review, it should work with computers.  The problem is that card manufacturers have made their cards need UEFI instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI full until mid-October 2012.  Given that the two computers you listed have Windows 8.0/8.1, they must be good.

Now, the map in the link shows that it requires a power supply (PSU) 300W or more.  I read the various reports on this subject, however.  If you decide on the map, you can try it with the existing 300W POWER supply to see if it works.  It won't hurt a thing to try.  It simply will not work correctly if it requires more power.

  • Am new AC card, can I use an old for Bluetooth

OK, the title pretty much sums up my question.  I got this ASUS wireless adapter

    http://www.ASUS.com/us/networking/PCEAC68/Gallery/

and a new router Netgear Nighthawk.  My question isn't about setting them up, but so far I have not seen mentioned BlueTooth.  My computer, an HP Envy 700-216 apparently uses a wireless card it's a 150 MB/s, which also manages the Bluetooth.

So my question is, can I keep the old card in and somehow configure it to the Blue Tooth in the computer function, while leaving my new AC map serve as the wireless adapter, using the "AC"?  And if so, how do you think I would accomplish this?

Or do I just remove it?  Is it possible to disable only the wireless portion, without disabling the Bluetooth?

  • No more Windows XP then where can I get a refund for my upgrade?

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but here goes.

I have a good computer that runs great and uses XP.

Microsoft sent me stating that they were more suppoting XP.

Since my computer is more I can't put to level to Windows 8 or 8.1.

So, I went out and recently bought a new computer that has Windows 8 on it.

I bought at Office Depot and then picked up a monitor at Best Buy.

At best, while buy the attendant told me that Microsoft has put some information to a $100.00 discount would be available for consumers of Microsoft who have to buy new computers.

However, when you go to the Microsoft Web page they offer only discounts on some computers.

    I think it's unfair.

I spent over $ 800.00 on a new improved system and the monitor.

Microsoft has managed to send me an email and tell me about not supporting XP, but I've never had an email about the discounts offered.

Is it possible for me to be eligible for a discount?

    I still have my recipes.

I bought a HP Envy 700-056/700-216 computer with AMD A 10 Quad Core processors.

It came with Windows 8 and 8.1. not.

Is it also possible to 8.1 without making another purchase?

Any information on a subject would be useful.

    Thank you

    Bryan

    Hi Bryan

Is not a refund, it's an immediate discount on some PCs.

  • Explorer slow

I posted a question about this before and have since made a few things. First of all my new desktop is HP envy 700-216. It came with Windows 8.1. Right out of the box of Windows Explorer has been slow and sticky.  Computer being less than months I got to store and had them reset it back to factory settings, install malicious programs, and make updates. While there the Explorer has been pretty quick (tested on the FB site and a few others). They told me if it wasn't like that at home, this is probably my internet connection and I have since revived the old modem and replaced by new ones. No difference in the Solution Explorer.

When this all started I downloaded Firefox and which works very well. That's what we use.

My thoughts are if Windows Explorer is junk, then why have there? I think I paid for it and it should work out of the box. Given that many of us use this desktop computer I want each of us to use different browsers and helps with passwords etc. I should be able to get the Explorer to work. You do not?

I worked on this same problem!       I think that I thought about it!       Someone on the Microsoft forum site, here is the link: Kelly helped of course.   and it was not HP support.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/IE/Forum/ie11-iewindows8_1/Internet-Explorer-with-Windows-81-very-slow/6b3d541a-4C77-4FDC-ABCB-a239fa544579?page=1

See posting April 2, 8 and 10 of Kelly.      Great help for my brand new computer!

The problem is HP SimplePass, specifically, the OPBHOBrokerDsktop.exe and the HPSimplepassBHOBroker. Kill both of these processes has solved the problem. They run by default on the new machines.

I uninstalled HP SimplePass and all is good.

A search on the web of SimplePass Windows 8 revealed hundreds of opportunities where people have difficulties with it on Win8.1.  Is working or not, that's kill performance in a big way.

HP should be ashamed to ship new machines like that.

  • invalid signature detected at startup

I just bought a HP Evoy 700-216 model. I replaced e OS Centos 6.5 and now I get

"Invalid signature detected. Visit the secure boot policy. "at the first reboot.

    How can I fix it?

You have replaced the factory OS with a BONE which does not recognize the function "Secure Boot" of the BIOS. You may need to ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS. Please see computers HP - Secure Boot (Windows 8) and HP computers - about UEFI and the Boot Menu for more information on the subject and possible solutions.

  • I have a large address book (1,700). I want to send an email to everyone except 50

I have a large address book (1,700). I want to send an email to everyone except 50 - and these 50 are in their own list. Y at - it a tip/trick to remove them?

    Thank you
    Patrick

Well, I think that the answer to your question is 'no '.

But I wonder how you intend to send to the recipients of 1700. Thunderbird will not let you send a message to as many addresses in one fell swoop, and I suspect that your email provider might be objected too.

I suggest that consider you a merge and merge, which would create discreet messages from 1700, but then your main problem will receive relevant addresses of 1700 (minus 50) in a proper file.

And I must say that the merge module and direct mail to Thunderbird is somewhat fragile, and I would direct you instead to free agency and its built in fusion facilities, or a service like Mailchimp.
