GX620 SFF BIOS A11 does support Celeron 450 processors?

Please accept my most precarious apologies for picking at an old injury; but, I've been upgrading a GX620 SFF and it seems to run hot.

I discovered that a processor Celeron 450 (LGA755) offers better performance of single-threaded and only has a TDP of 35W. My current Pentium 4 521 has a TDP of 84W. My favorite candidate upgrade to Pentium D 945 has a TDP of 95W.

I think the Celeron 450 could support my expected uses, light word processing and surfing the web and reduce heat and electric loads.

Graphics are not a review. Modern web sites have begun an overload of my Radeon HD2400 low-profile video card. So I think to replace it with a Radeon R7-250 to help things move faster.

I could have built a new system but I just upgraded this SFF for windows 7 and I hope for a free upgrade to Windows 10 when this OS is released. Celeron 450 more Radeon R7-250 for less than $120 against the new system, less than $200.

Thanks for you help. Past see the post there are really knowledgeable people on this forum

The specification says Intel® Celeron® D Processor 351
(Cache 256 KB, 3.20 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)

90nm 84w

The 450 are 65 nm and 800 MHZ FSB so no its not work.

    Hello!

Can you tell how Toshiba will get a BIOS update to support the new processor intel core 2 duo mobile cpu.
1.4 real BIOS does not recognize the new CPU type.

Toshiba offers a core 2 duo based qosmio G35-650 USA a bios should be available.

Of course I now that this makes the gurantee disappear.

    Help, please.

    Hi Marcus

I think that no one knows when the new BIOS update will be available. You can check the BIOS download page only from time to time. All that s.

The situation on the American market is unknown to me, but you can't compare it with the EU market. There is big difference and you know that the U.S. market is always in front of our EU market.

  • The update of the BIOS for Satellite Pro M70 does support TPM?

    Hello

There was an update of the bios that is specially designed for Vista... = bios-vista - 510win.zip on the Toshiba site...

Although my Satellite Pro M70-113 did not support the default TPM module (BIOS verson 1.1, I always have this), is it possible that this update includes the TPM secure to enable bitlocker on vista?

Can someone check and confirm please... :)

And secondly, is configuration BIOS update for Windows utility saves the current state of the BIOS in some external as backup media, while if it happens with the process of update... the previous version can be restored in return?

And a BIOS may be downgraded?

    Thank you.

    Hello

(1.) I m not 100% sure but I think the new BIOS for the M70 does not support the TPM secure. I read somewhere that all BIOS versions that support TPM on Toshiba laptops cannot be updated by a common user, but the user must contact the authorized Toshiba service provider for these updates.
That's why I think that Toshiba would not any BIOPS version by download issue if this BIOS would support the TPM.

2.) now something about the second question:
The new BIOS version replaces the old BIOS and BIOS States and to my knowledge it of not possible to save the settings for a backup more later.
Generally, you must be careful with any update of the BIOS. Bad BIOS or bad update procedure may damage the jury!

So this is not supported would need an external monitor that supports the 120 Hz

Mike, after consultation with the other members, I think that double graphis is unavailable because it is not indicated in the specifications.

However, here is a Youtube video on the CPU.  If you do not find that you were able to use it by a change in the BIOS, please share this information with the forum.  Thank you!

As the title suggests, the edition of 750 Ti GTX FTW Evga does support my office? I am currently engraged by the integrated graphics card because I can't run games on the settings I want and instead I have to stay with the lowest settings. I don't know if my BIOS version is supported by the card. I have again the dinky power came with the computer and if someone can tell me if it has the connector 6 - pin PCIE, which would be lovely. Also, it would be great if someone showed me a picture of the 6-pin PCIE if there. I thank you for reading, have a nice day!

    Hello

Your PC should be able to support the NVIDIA GTX 750.  Generally the NVIDIA GTX 750 with a few exceptions only requires a 300 Watt power supply.

HP 460 watt power supply has a PCI-E power connector 6 pin.

  • BIOS and HP Support Assistant?

I am a little appalled and would like to know what is happening with the updated Bios and HP Support Assistant.  To visit this forum, I came to the conclusion that we should NOT allow the HPSA download and install the updates to the Bios.  Is this true and if so, what do you do to solve this problem?  Unfortunately, I learned that this HPSA AFTER put to update my Bios to a version that is not listed for my laptop.  Unfortunately, not a not inform me on what I should do after it has happened.  Should I try and "exploded" my Bios?  Or leave?  I appreciate all help.  I now f.2bs and according to the download site for my model number, I use f.0Une.  My laptop is a Pavilion DV6T-7000 Quad Edition A5F76AV.

Problem solved.  I decided my BIOS of backflash called for on site support (drivers and downloads).  Everything is fine and it even fixed some Diagnostics UEFI.  After seeing things, I found that HPSA does not have a very good job of distinquishing your operating system.  In my case, whenever HPSA tells me an update of the BIOS, it applies generally to 8 Windwos.  I am running Windows 7.  Meh.

  • Aurora R3 system BIOS A11

    Hello

I have an Aurora R3 and installed Windows 10 - which went quite easily (with many thanks to all users and their useful son on how to do this).

Since the installation of Windows is not new - upgrade - I decided to just check the Dell website for available drivers and downloads. When I entered my service number, in the downloads, I see the following:

    Alienware Aurora system BIOS, A11

    File name: Aurora - A11.exe
    Important: recommended
    Description: Windows/DOS (1.94 MB)
    Release date: June 17, 2013
    Version: A11, A11
    Last updated: June 17, 2013
    --------------------------
Now, I don't have any problems at the moment and certainly not looking for anything :)
But I was wondering, since I have seen many complain Dell do not update the BIOS to the R3, does anyone else know this download? Has anyone tried to install this BIOS?

    It is said...

    Compatible systems:
    Alienware Aurora
    Alienware Aurora ALX

    ... that is the Aurora-R1, R3 not.

  • Precision T3400 BIOS A11 problem

I use a precision T3400 with a Core 2 Duo E6550. Windows XP SP3 works well, but I found some problems with the diagnoses that appear to be related to the BIOS A11.

When I select Diagnostics from the F12 boot menu, the system crashes almost immediately at the beginning of the PSA. Here is the error message:

    TREADMILL test
    Test result: System error
    Error code: 2000-0111
MSG: CPU 0: Protection General Exception occurred

When I boot a diagnostic CD (ver. 1322.1) passes most tests, but some of the processor and the system board tests at key upwards. All the tests of multiprocessor cache cause the following error:

Exception has occurred in the MPCACHE module. File 'IOAPICSP.asm' of MDM. Line 1645!

For the motherboard, the i/o APIC MP Test causes the following error:

Exception occurred in the module IOAPIC. File 'IOAPICSP.asm' of MDM. 2918 line!

I returned from BIOS A11 A09 and all those problems went away.

Just thought someone might like to know.

    T3400 BIOS A11 BIOS A14

    TREADMILL test
    Test result: System error
    Error code: 2000-0111
MSG: CPU 0: Protection General Exception occurred

Latest BIOS A09 has the issue.

The most recent video card seems to be with cards R7 and Radeon series R9.  Older cards like the Radeon 7770, etc. 5770 supports bios VESA BACK including 103 mode extensions.  NVIDIA cards seem to be good.  EVGA Super clocked GTX 960 works very well.
