  Looks like you got your disabled source patches. It is the first column of boxes in the timeline, V1, A1, etc.. Make sure that the respective patch is enabled for the source that you want to drag in the sequence, and you're falling to the type appropriate way, for example video for video, if only one video is patched.

  Flash has two toolbars (no panels) called hand and available to the Windows edition | Toolbars menu. Things appear as floating windows, with a full window title bar and not resizable frame around a set of toolbar buttons.   If your edit bar is not docked at the top of the stage, then try to reset your workspace (the drop down at the top right of the screen).
