Save and exit feature available in FF6, even after I adjusted the browser.showquitwarning

Firefox 4 and later versions Save the previous session automatically, so it is no longer need for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

Use ' file > leave "or" Firefox > Exit "(Mac: ' Firefox > quit Firefox") If you want to restore multiple windows.

You can use ' history > restore previous Session ' to get the previous session at any time.

You may need to click the Firefox orange/gray button to see history.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

Another possibility is to use:

  • Why the Firefox 4 is not restore all the sessions that were open at the time? Before the update, I've been invited either ("SAVE AND QUIT") or even if she closed UNEXPECTEDLY (crushed), he AGAIN restored. New version does not offer "save and exit".

    Question
Why don't Firefox4 restore any sessions that were open at the time? Before the update, I've been invited either ('SAVE AND QUIT'), or even if it closed UNEXPECTEDLY (crash etc) it STILL restored everything. New version does not offer "save and exit".

Now, Firefox always stores the old session which you can access from the history menu by selecting "restore previous Session."

If you always open the last set of tabs, another approach is the following:

    1. Click on the orange button Firefox, then select options to open the options window
    2. Go to the general Panel
    3. Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "show my windows and tabs from last time '.
  • What happened to the bookmark all tabs/Save and Exit/open session previous feature 4.0? If this was subscribed then 4.0 is of no use to me. I'll have to go back to 3.6

3.6 each time I closed the browser with multi tabs open that he would give me the possibility to save and exit. Then when I opened it the browser it would give me the possibility to open the previous session. I could also put bookmark all open tabs. All of these features seem to no longer be present in 4.0. If that's the case I'll be forced to uninstall and reinstall 3.6.

The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  • Save and exit

Is that the most recent Firefox 4 has the distinction of asking the user to save the tabs, windows, and their output?

This feature is available on Firefox 3 below.

A Firefox 4 is from Firefox showing the default warning message will stop, but it can be turned on again by changing some preferences.

    1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press on enter
    2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    3. Find browser.tabs.warnOnClosepreference, if its value is set to false, double-click on it to change its value to true
    4. Repeat this for 3 preferences browser.warnOnQuit, the browser.warnOnRestart and the browser.showQuitWarning
  • On 32.0.3 start-up load home page, but on the output not 'save and exit '.

I load my homepage to Google & FF. Latest release asked me on 'save and exit '. Now she leaves everything and all my tabs are undervalued.

By design, your open windows and tabs will be saved so that you don't need to tell Firefox to save. Some exceptions would be:

    • Closing a private browsing window
    • If Firefox is set to clear the history at the stop

I don't know when the message was deleted, but I think it could have been a few versions ago. I don't remember having seen it myself...

  • SAVE AND EXIT THE PARTY

    Hello
I have how I regret the update! (to 32.0.3)
Where is my 'save and exit' (at closure) option gone?

I followed all the advice on the forums to pick up this function... but nothing helps.

Yes, I can get the warning that I'm closing multiple tabs. (Thanks for telling me what I know, instead of offering something useful!)

To be precise on the subject: config... browser.showQuitWarning is set to true

                                                             browser.warnonquit is true
                                                             browser.tabs.warnonclose is true

And in Tools/Options/general/start "show my windows and tabs from last time is selected.

What am I supposed to do?

If I go back to the last version will be the OPTION (to save a session OR let it lapse) IE "SAVE and EXIT" restore?
I have to stop in future updates

You will get the warning that "show my windows and tabs from last time" is selected as who will restore open tabs automatically, so you will not lose them.
To get this warning, you must select another parameter of start (home page or blank tab).

  • I really enjoyed having the option 'Save and exit' when I closed my browser, but since I updated Firefox this option is no longer available for me. How can I get that back?

    I currently have Firefox 4.0.1.

Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.

    • By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead, it will automatically save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:

      1. by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
      2. type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
      3. See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20does%20not%20ask%20to%20save%20tabs%20and%20windows%20on%20exit

To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:

    1. Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
    2. Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
    3. Open the preferences/list page
    4. Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    5. If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
      • browser.warnOnQuit
      • browser.warnOnRestart
      • browser.showQuitWarning
    7. See:

Things to check if the tabs are not saved:

    1. Browsing history must be saved

      • Button Firefox: Firefox button > Options > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
      • Menu bar: Tools > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
    2. Also, make sure that you do not erase "Browsing history" when you use clear recent history or when Firefox is closed
      • Using clear recent history

        • Button Firefox: Firefox button > history > clear recent history
        • Menu bar: Tools > clear recent history
      • When Firefox is closed
    3. Make sure that you are not in private browsing mode or in private browsing mode permanent:
    4. If you have the Tab Mix Plus extension, and then clear the built-in session restore.
