have any firefox toolbar

The Firefox toolbar has disappeared.

Which one? The menu bar or the Navigation bar? I accidentally hid my menu bar earlier tonight. I clicked Alt to bring it to the top, then go to view, toolbars and checked the menu bar where I had accidentally turned off it. Hope it's something as simple as that for you.

I have used Firefox for about 8 years or since first of all, it has been developed and I love it! I especially love the personal bar and he used all these years without any problems. Yesterday, I lost somehow the bookmarks toolbar. It is still listed under view in the Menu. When I check, besides, that area expands a little and when I uncheck the box decreases a little. All my favorites are still there, but not the toolbar. I tried everything I know to try. I uninstalled and downloaded Firefox again and reinstalled. I have restarted my computer several times. I tried dragging the new bookmarks in the toolbar of the address of the site area. Nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be the cause and have a solution? I HATE that, without this toolbar. Thanks in advance!

If the menu bar is hidden, then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the call of menu bar.

    • Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize.
    • Make sure the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the toolbar palette in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize

Hi, try this signed Yahoo Toolbar add-on.

If you still have the menu bar of Firefox (with file on that), then right-click in the tab bar - but not on a tab, and then select menu bar.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Cannot add much more to the issue. Can't the part of edition of the program. I reloaded the program, no change. This program has been flawless so far. I did no change this month. Now, all of a sudden, my Firefox toolbar disappeared and don't see when I can change or repair. I use Windows XP pro. Thanks for any response. Seems I may have to abandon the program without technical help is available for this problem.

Thanks for the reply at the time of the Tylerdowner. I solved the problem accidentally by a right click on the top bar area and I found the setting was on 'full screen '. If after clicking that, the entire toolbar reappeared. No problem now. Thanks in any case.

It seems that your address bar will redirect you to a web site. The subject: config 'page' is a built-in configuration tool that does not behave like a web site. Make sure that you are not using http: or www or any field ending when access about: config.

If you cannot load on: config in the address bar, temporarily change your homepage settings for about: config, and then click the Home button. Does it work?

In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the menu bar on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the menu bar temporarily.
Go to "view > toolbars", right click on the menu bar, or press Alt + V T to select to show or hide toolbars (click on an entry to switch from the State).

  • One of my computers works very well to display my beneficiaries of my bank online and the other computer says that I don't have any beneficiary, worm 35 on both.

Everything on my online banking Web site works fine except the display of my beneficiaries. It does not, he tells me that I don't have any beneficiary. This function works very well on my backup computer with 16, 32, and 35 versions.

    That's what my Bank said:
There was some problems with the compatibility of Firefox to view online recipients. Please, try the following steps to clear the cache and delete cookies. If there is still a problem, start Firefox in Mode safe. While you are in safe mode, press the < Alt > or < F10 > to display the toolbar. Then select Tools > Options > advanced > general. Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

Boot in safe mode to fix the problem, but it's a bit of a pain. A refreshment or a reset seems a little drastic and I would like to know what exactly is the problem before using the shotgun approach.

    Thank you

Thanks for the replies. I have try to disable hardware acceleration, but probably no connect fees. My only add-on is edge of adblock and I disabled it for the site. The thing is, I don't want to disable either of these elements. I'll just start firefox in safe mode, if I need to access my beneficiaries. I was hoping that someone may know something that is bad in my profile that has carried over from previous versions or another kind of corruption. It seems strange that an entire site could work very well with hardware acceleration, but not to this one point.

  • For some reason, I don't have the Firefox Button instead? by the left corner. I don't know I clicked on something somewhere. What

That will probably be an easy solution; just something I turned off while it is in beta. I "file edit view Favorites Tools Help" in the upper part, but do NOT have the Firefox Button. Any ideas?

To get the new user interface, you need to hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  • Ask took the firefox toolbar

When you try to download something my Firefox toolbar has been replaced by Ask. None of the suggestions so far have worked to recover Firefox

Could you describe where Ask looming? For example:

    • When you use the Firefox search bar to search, instead of getting your favorite search engine you get results on Ask?
    • When you click the Home button or open a new window (Ctrl + n), instead of getting your preferred homepage, you get a page Ask?
    • When you click on the button '+' or press Ctrl + t to open a new tab, instead of the usual Firefox new tab page, you get a page Ask?

Which would give us a better idea of what to suggest then, in addition to clean your computer of programs related to Ask.

I have used Firefox for years. My toolbar is a work of art, with all the links I have. I migrated it from my old computer to it and refined it.

Hi, first try restarting Firefox. If this does not work Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start mode safe" - does NOT REFRESH!

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • I keep losing my Firefox toolbar as well as my other toolbars.

If you do not have a tab bar, just the page content from the corner:

Could check you that Firefox did not pass to display full-screen? You can change whether the use is:

    • Hit F11 on the keyboard
    • Drag the mouse all the way to the top of the window and look for the tabs and toolbars to drag down, right-click on an empty area of the tab bar > exit full-screen Mode

If it's a regular window with a bar of tabs but no toolbar:

This may be due to an incompatibility with one of your extensions, or a corrupted data file.

If you press the ALT key, or press F10, can call you the classic menu bar (File, Edit, View...)? If so, try Mode without failure of Firefox. It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

On the Help menu, select Restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins will run

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
