  Uninstall realtek Manager and see if the problem is resolved.

  Search for any other software that is running and set for 'cut '. Poster only cursor that the status of the volume mixer device and the device itself is shared between all programs - if one of them changes the volume, others must move their cursors accordingly.   I read some of the threads here related to this issue but unclear again this would be better as well. My situation is that I do not expandad actuall my RDM from 500 MB to 1 TB for the file system, but Windows 2008. There are interesting feature in Win 2008 where you can shrink or expand the volume depending on the size of your hard drive.

  So my question is how do Windows to see the additional space without rebooting the file server that is running 24 x 7?

  Based on the tests I did with our lab gear, changing the size of a ROW in virtual mode requires a power/power on the virtual machine (not ESX host) cycle before the change of the size of the disk becomes visible to the virtual machine.

  Start > right click on computer and select Manage

  Select Device Manager

  Click on the + next to sound, video and game controllers

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Restart the computer and Windows will reload the driver
