Hear the inaccurate rate monitor

On the Apple Watch heart rate monitor is disabled by 400% each time that I exercise, which is when I want the most. I spoke to Apple and received a replacement watch, which unfortunately has the same level of inaccuracy. I tried to loosen, squeezing the band, moving the watch and get off my wrist, etc., with no obvious improvement of data. It seems pretty clear that the watch is very inaccurate in the detection of pulse given during heart rate rise.

Thoughts?

Hello

Even in ideal conditions, Apple Watch may not be able to save a reliable heart rate monitor each time reading for everyone. It may be the case, for example, that your perfusion of the skin (which can vary greatly from one person to another) is too low to get a reading accurate. Other factors can also affect the performance of the sensor, including irregular movements when they exercise.

For best results, it is important for your watch to fit comfortably against the top of the wrist. To help with this, Apple suggests you consider your clamping watch band before workouts and it loosen again thereafter.

How to calibrate the heart rate monitor that shows a too high concentration?

    Hello

It is not possible to calibrate the heart rate sensor. However, various factors can affect the performance of the detector.

During training, to optimize the performance of the heart rate sensor, ensure that you wear your watch fits on top of your wrist.

Apple suggests that consider you the clamping Strip before starting a workout and it loosen again thereafter.

The sensor is likely to give better results for the workouts that involve rhythmic (for example running) rather than the irregular movements (e.g., tennis). Other problems that can affect the performance of the sensor include the perfusion of the skin and wrist tattoos.

  • When Apple will allow third-party apps, like MapMyRun fitness, to access the heart rate monitor?

I bought the Apple Watch to follow my heart rate during trials, only to discover that all third-party applications like MapMyRun and Nike + are not able to access data on the Apple Watch heart rate monitor. Will this change possibly? Does anyone have information about this?
I am very disappointed and wish now I had bought a Fitbit instead.

    Hello..

What is a user to user community, you do not directly communicate with Apple here, nobody can say whether or not Apple will allow these third-party applications for use with an Apple Watch, but what you can do is to provide feedback > http://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html

  • Three questions.  The heart rate monitor now plays nice with the third-party applications?  Can you run these third-party applications, without the link to your phone?  How much storage?

My experience with the original watch is that the heartbeat was working fine with apps in the House but does not work well with third-party applications.  Aboriginal health applications were sub par at best.  In addition, he wouldn't these third party apps (Strava), unless you were related to your phone.  A new doesn't do me much good if it is always the case.  Finally, it's great that you can bind your helmet now but what storage is the watch have?  I am not unrealistic, its understandable if its not much, but I hope that it is enough that a few apps and music enough to pass through a 4 hour tour.

1 WatchOS3 made major changes in this area, and 3rd party applications get access to things like HR. OS3 also makes everything much more receptive. 3rd party applications will need to be updated to play with the HR monitor.

    2. you can run applications 3rd party without the phone with you, but for your type of application, you'll want a series 2 with GPS watch. The likes of Runkeeper OK working in the older shows, but without GPS, they do not really work you need. New - 3rd third party apps will need updates to work with the GPS watch. OS3 software has been available to developers for a while now, so I expect software updates only very quickly. I don't know if or when 3rd parties had access to the equipment and GPS devices, s, then it may be some while before they have series 2 updates.

    3. you can store 2 GB of music. How much music that is depends of course format and quality, but certainly several hours.

    Hope that helps

  • The way heart rate monitor works in watch

I have been using shows since the first day he appeared in Spain. Latest operating system installed os shows 2.

I usually run, leave, for example, 4-5 days a week. Sometimes in one race track, other running the streets.

In November, I discovered something that makes that there is something wrong. The operation of the heart rate monitor. I found, specially everything by working in the rail bearing, series of facts and gestures and running at different speeds, that sometimes heart rate was 165 and, in the next step, same minute, he is 75, and then, following measures in the same minute, once again 165... I went to an apple store and gave them time to study, but they could not "recreate" the problem, so they have nothing did... Of course the problem occurs only when running, so I guess that none of the technicians used the watch to get out and run for a few kilometres.

Most of the time the measures are ok, but last night, almost 9 km, running increasing pace, I found 6 times with incorrect measures.

Attached you will find three examples of screenshot taken. In this case, the change in the average heart rate is not important, but in other cases I couldn't use the reference, the watch switches for 10 to 15 minutes of wrong measurement.

The watch was properly placed around the wrist, so it wasn't the issue. And this has not happened before, with higher temperatures. Someone might say, s all about sweat, but there are more sweat in summer than in winter. Someone might say it is because of wearing long-sleeved shirts when running in winter, but this isn't the case, as I fold the sleeves to avoid it going between the watch and the skin.

I don't mean the watch doesn't work properly, but, obviously, the results provided are not correct.

    Any help will be welcome.

    Kind regards

  • Implementation of the heart rate in the FPGA vi to detect an abnormal termination of the host using the compactRIO vi?

    Hello

I'm developing an app for the compactRIO systems. I want to implement a heartbeat in the FPGA code that detects if the host vi gave up. I also want the FPGA vi at the stop with a stop of the host vi command.

I implemented the heartbeat signal within the host vi and the heartbeat counter is located in a loop of the single cycle timed (SCTL) in the FPGA vi. However, I have other loops while in the FPGA vi (b/c I/o analog are not compatible with the SCTL) and so I need to stop several multiple loops with a stop order from the inside of the loop cycle timed (by opposition from a user input, what you can do with a local variable).

As I have now, when I download and run the code to my compact goal of RIO, and I abandoned the host vi (and not by pressing the stop button), the code in the SCTL stops, but on the other the loop is not. Can anyone help?

    Greetings Andrew P.

I took a quick look at your code, and while I'm not completely sure of the cause of the behavior that you are experiencing, I noticed a few things in your FPGA code.  First of all, it seems that you use an appropriate method to report the other loop the SCTL is stopped due to the delay of heartbeat.  Secondly, it seems that the logic around the heart rate monitor can be a bit off.  Currently, you are taking the current value of the entry of Heartbeat/command and comparing it to the value returned by the shift register using a not equal to vi comparison.  This allows to detect a change in the status of this entry if the shift register is providing the value of previous to this entry.  However, it seems that you take the value of the comparison is not equal to to fuel the shift register, rather than the current value of the control of heart rate.  What happens if you change?

    Kind regards

  • Can I pair headset Bluetooth and a chest strap heart rate monitor Bluetooth at the same time with the Apple Watch 2 series

Does anyone know if you can pair Bluetooth headset at the same time and heart rate monitor strap chest Bluetooth with the Apple Watch series 2? I can't find any info about it online. I hope so, because they have everything works without your phone now since it has GPS. Obviously a chest strap heart rate monitor gives you a more accurate reading. And who is running without music? If they want to really all the new capabilities of fitness improved series 2, that this is a must!

The original WATCH allows you to do this, so I don't see why the series 2 would not.

  • Heart rate monitor: 42mm watch small wrists? Return of the questions?

Someone had problems with their sport to watch 42 mm reading your heart rate?  I got my watch 5 days ago as a Christmas gift and cannot get the monitor to work properly.  I also have tiny wrists for a male, and the watch is just too big for me.  I tried my wife 38mm watch and he returned and the heart rate sensor works very well.

    Steps I took to solve:

-Wrist band installed S/M instead of the band sport M/L pre-installed. M/L band was loose on tighter setting - I thought for sure it would work, but it didn't.

-Held the watch down hard and move about trying to take a measure in looks, still does not work.

    -Watch update to 2.1

-A spent several hours on the phone with support.  They offered to exchange the watch and go with 38mm size. Have been unable to trade watch after several hours of phone calls.  Here's the question... Bought parents watch with silver to a Best Buy.  Watch is not registered in their system, since it was bought with money, so they are not exchanged for a 38 mm watch - they even called the local store and they cannot resume.  Best Buy felt terrible, they wanted to help, but couldn't find a way to make the exchange of work in their system.  Attempted to swap with the apple store.  They won't, so I offered to Exchange even upward, even with the 38mm being $50.00 less, I want just a watch works for me.  They recognize fully it is located in the window of return/exchange, but since it was purchased at a Best Buy they don't seem more interested in supporting.  Lesson to everyone out there - attention to gifts, especially if they were purchased with money!   Anyone has any advice on a matter of Exchange like that?  I am at a loss for what to do...

In the United States, the standard Apple refund policy includes:

"Only items that have been purchased directly from Apple, via the Apple Store online or in a Store, can be returned to Apple. Apple's products with other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refund policy. »

Take the watch and the original receipt at any Best Buy store. Best Buy offers a broad strategy of return and Exchange:

"All the purchases made at Best Buy - online or in store - may be returned to any store Best Buy in the USA it is fast and free."

"We offer a return and exchange policy extended during the holiday season. Purchases made between November 1, 2015, and 31 December 2015, have a long period of return through January 15, 2016. »

    Hi Redbaron666,

Have you checked if the game works the clean boot?

I see that Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is not compatible with Windows 7 which could be the cause of this problem:

    Thanks for the follow-up.

Missing in this equation are the Premiere Elements version you were using and the operating system on which it is running. But...

The Act is accomplished. But... Up to now, and after that you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what Premiere Elements version you were using. We don't yet know the operating system involved.

You said first Elements 10. First 10 Elements is affected by a problem serious display known if the computer uses an NVIDIA GeForce video/graphics card card. In this issue, the only cure is to roll back the version of the driver about may 2013. The description of the problem and how to make the rear roller are described in one of the messages at the top of this forum. What video/graphics card your computer use?

On another front, Adobe will release a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. Not one, but Adobe knows the function defined for the new version. This type of information is announced at the time of the release of the new version.

So the solution to the problem you presented in this thread could have been...

1 roll back the version of the NVIDIA GeForce driver for all may 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, maybe not possible)

    2. move to a different version of Premiere Elements (which you did)

I offer the foregoing for consideration so that you can review your decisions. We are pleased to learn that the first items 12/12.1 works for you.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions and seek clarification, but do not forget that the answers are in the details.

    Best wishes

  • Display the heart rate Apple Watch on iphone

I use the app to drive Apple Watch to measure and display my heart rate. But I want to display my heart rate on my iphone in large numbers on my iphone so I can see him for my spinning classes. Is there a simple way to do this? None of the iphone to do this in real time applications.

    Hello

It is not currently possible to monitor the heart rate of Apple Watch real-time data (and big numbers) on your iPhone via the apps that are built watch OS and iOS.

If you want to suggest that Apple considers that the addition of this feature, you can do so here:

  • Heart rate monitor does not turn off

    Hello world

My rate monitor heart wont tun off the coast. I noticed that the green light was on when I picked up the watch on the charger but thought nothing of it. It isn't that I was on the bus going to work (sitting) and I won 2 medals of fitness that I realized something. The watch seems to be stuck in the application of the workout and I tried to force it to quit, but the screen is always off. So far, I have tried reset, reboot and force stop smoking, but the green light is still blocked on and drain my battery. Its been like this for two days.

Does anyone have any ideas I can try?

    Hello

Disconnection to try and re-matching of your watch. The app shows on your iPhone shows backups automatically, including a new when the disparity with the app choose this option to restore the watch (backup restore) when provided the opportunity during the whole. Most of the data and settings will be restored, with a few exceptions (for example cards Pay Apple, access code).

  • It is Possible to change the refresh rate of the LCD?

Just purchased a DV7-1240us, and the refresh rate seems to be 'locked' at 60 Hz

I would like to know if it can be increased to 75 Hz or more (to save eye strain), is it even physically possible?

Neither possible nor necessary. 60 hz is just a virtual number since video systems must work with crt monitors and lcd display and control panels video need to fill something to refresh rate, they use 60. Digital billboards as the screens of laptops update in the same way a crt Monitor refreshes and doesn't cause eyestrain like flashing pixels. To relax.
