Help! Bad uninstall file provided by Adobe (Uninst.isu No .exe)

I just purchased CS3 but have a very old 5.5 of Photoshop on Windows XP I want to uninstall first.  Unfortunately, the uninstall does not work because Adobe has provided a Mac uninstall file and not a .exe for Windows in the packaging of the product.  I have the original CD and the Mac file is all that is provided!  I tried to reinstall just to be certain to do so makes no difference.

Is there a utility or a way to get a Uninst.exe for this product 5.5 old so I can get rid of him?  Adobe technical support will not help!

If it does not appear in Add/Remove Programs why do not just manually delete all the records associated with PS5.5, then run CCleaner to correct the registry and redundant DLLs.

    Assuming you're on Windows (which you didn't), you can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

    Then you can download the complete player offline installer from

    After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

  • Help to combine files in Adobe 8.1.7

    When I combine files PDF from Adobe, for the purposes of the conversion in a TIF format, the files names are not kept - instead, they are changed to Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, etc in the binder.  It is imperative that filenames are not editable.  Does anyone know how to combine the files and retain the name of each individual file.  We have more than 200 design/files to be converted, the combination files method would be great for us.     In the initial window of the dialog box combine files, there is a button "Options".
    Click it to open a dialog box. In this dialog box, you can select the option to make bookmarks.
    Bookmarks 'name' will be the file name of the files indicated in the file dialog box to combine.
    The output PDF (linking .pdf) will contain a PDF bookmark for each file.
    Configure the PDF Document Properties initial view tab option for the "Navigation" tab to be
    "Panel bookmarks and Page".
    When the end user opens the PDF, the Bookmarks panel will appear.
    Clicking on a given bookmark takes one on the first page of the file that were introduced in the binder.

    Ppl repeatedly face problems when opening. EXE files.

    • The EXE file opens in Notepad.
    • EXE file opens in a few other installed programs.
    • Windows displays the 'Open with' dialog box to select the program.
    • Windows displays the error message "Windows cannot find .exe file. Make sure you typed the name correctly.

    Most of the time it happens when you accidentally replace. Type of exe to Folder Options settings. Sometimes, it can happen due to the virus.

    In any case no need to worry. Here's a solution that will fix this annoying problem:

    1. open RUN command prompt by typing the command in the dialog box.

    2 provide now following command:

    cd\windows

    3 it will activate the Windows folder. Now provide following command to open the Registry Editor:

    Regedit

    4 now goto following key:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe

    In the right pane, change the value of default elements exefile key

    5 now goto:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

    In the right pane, change the value of the default key to:

    "%1" %*

    6 that's it. Now, quit the registry editor and restart your Windows. Now you should be able to open EXE files without any problem.

    Hello. I bought Adobe CS4 Web Premium for my computer Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit in early 2010 with volume licenses and installed using the trial CD, I bought with it.   • How do we uninstall CS4 so I can reinstall it without all the uninstall files?

    I downloaded CS4 Premium Design (using Yosemite) last week.  I had to rebuild the computer, and then reload the software.  Several problems have emerged:

    Photoshop didn't download.

    Acrobat pro is the gel etc. When I open acrobat I get a repair error message telling me that some components need repair. Adobe PDF printer is checked. When I click on continue nothing happens and acrobat freezes.  When I cancel the same phenomenon occurs.   I have to force quit.

    I told by adobe support, that there there was no support and perhaps I should uninstall and reinstall.  Well there is no uninstall with the last download file.

    How do you uninstall the software without uninstalling files?

    Step 1: Try disabling startup cssauth.exe in the configuration of the system.

    Best way I know is using 3rd party software. If necessary to re - install the Roxio software,
