Thank you

Marsha Marie

Hi Marsha,

What is the brand and model of the computer and the webcam?

Method 1:

Run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if that helps:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2:

Check the link and try to update the drivers for the device:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

It will be useful.

  • WebServices - need help getting started...

    Hi all

I am fairly new to Web services and Coldfusion I could use some help getting started. Creating the Web service has already been made, so I need to create a new one, so that the part is already done.  The existing webservice is written in .NET and I need to consume using Coldfusion. I think I have all the information I need from the creator (s) in the various XML files. There are a few examples of applications in the .xml file format in the information that was given, as well as a wsdl.xml file. Of my reading on Coldfusion and Web services is that they are consumed by the...

    < cfinvoke webservice = "yada.wsdl" method = "use" returnvariable = "returnedVal" > "

    and send arguments through

    < cfinvokeargument

to the Web service that returns the data.

But t that's where I'm wrong... It seems I should use the wsdl.xml file to connect to the Web service... is that correct? I have to place the wsdl.xml outside the Web root in IIS?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you try to refer to this wsdl file:

    Directory containing wsdl.xml

    .../wwwroot/mydir/WSDL.Xml

Then, you must use a parameter like this:

    method http://localhost/mydir/WSDL.xml"="mywsdlmethod"returnvar ="data">

« ? WSDL"is a ColdFusion function that uses the ability of ColdFusion to generate a wsdl file dynamically on the fly from a SWC file that is configured to be a web service.

I recently had my hp pavillion lap top back to xp as a personal necessity, in doing so, I lost the ability to use my built in webcam which came with the original vista, is it possible I can get webcam and or drivers to use again?

Check with the manufacturer of the webcam, or if it's a webcam built-in laptop, check with the manufacturer of the laptop.  If they have no XP drivers, then the device does not work under XP.

I'm trying to get up my webcam on a samsung N102-JA01 settings and also the microphone doesn't seem to be able to work the two devices are built I tried the Device Manager and had no luck please help me

    Hi Rebecca,.

OK, a couple of things different on your workstation. First, it was created in the Microsoft answers Site Feedback Forum. This is the section dedicated to questions about the site itself and not necessarily computer issues. The moderation team has moved your question to the images and video Forum where the answers community can consider your question and provide assistance on this issue.

Second, make sure you have the latest device drivers for the webcam and audio drivers (in fact your video drivers as well if they are separated) for version approprieate of the operating system that you use. You can get those for the manufacturer's website.

  • 32-bit and 64-bit Vista operating system installed, trying to get the webcam to take photo

I have a HP Webcam who settled in the factory on my pc laptop pavilion dv3510nr. I was able to take pictures with her when I'm on Facebook, but of course I can't understand yet how to do anything else with it at all outside of Facebook. I read something that said I had to download the latest version of Quickplay, but when I entered the information for my computer, Quickplay appears. I finally found something called YouCam and downloaded that. I downloaded the 64 bit version. I did it for the version 32 - bit still.

I want to know if I need to keep download two sets of everything. I have 64-bit Internet Explorer available, but usually use 32-bit because not all websites have upgraded to 64 - bit yet. I'm just a little confused, I guess. I don't know when to download what version of bits. Can you help me?

    Luanne

you don't have to download 2 sets of drivers. If you have a 64-bit operating system, then download the 64-bit drivers. 32-bit operating system you only need 32-bit drivers. Some 32-bit drivers will work for 64-bit os.

As far the webcam goes you can go here to download the quickplay update

    Hello

You will probably need to reload the drivers of the device and any camera control software.

    Login as an administrator.

Double-click Control Panel / Device Manager - Imaging - writing down of the brand and model of camera.
on this subject and on the tab of the driver is version. Now, click on update drivers (who are unable to do anything as MS
is far behind the pilots of certification). RIGHT click on the camera - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the camera and the other related camera
software (if not more recent get the same).

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each driver.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

Then let windows updates on however prevent loading of drivers who are often older than the
those that you have installed. If updates suggests a pilot and then HIDE it and watch manually to see if their
really is a more recent version (at the time system manufacturer and the sites of the manufacturer of the device).

  • I cannot get my webcam with MSN, no other program

Original title: Toshiba Chicony Web cam

OK, so my computer missed me, but I fixed it by reinstalling windows vista Home premium, before my webcam has jumped over the side of the screen.  Now, my webcam works for msn but I can find it anywhere on the computer to use indeed outside of msn.  It used to be on the left side of my screen now, it's gone!  I know it's there, because it works for msn :|

Anyone know where to find?  And how I would get this back on the side of my screen?

    Hello

Reload the device drivers and the software.

Control Panel - Device Manager - Imaging - write down of the brand and the model of camera-
Double click on it and on the tab of the driver version. Now, click on update of drivers (which may
do nothing as MS is far behind the drivers of certification). The RIGHT CLICK on the camera
-UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer's website and download the latest driver of the camera and other partners
the camera software (if not more recent get the same).

Just you'd go to Toshiba Support and get the driver for your model laptop.

    Go to your model.

Good time to get some other updates here.

Download - SAVE - go to them and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN - reboot after each
    pilot.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities in
Windows updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it won't install drivers
who will be generally older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver can
HIDE (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if you wish.
