  You must install Office 2011, if you can find it, or get a subscription of $99 / year to 2016 from Microsoft Office. Individual applications can be downloaded freely. If you do not have a subscription, then they operate in trial mode.

  There is no need to uninstall.  Your license allows you to have two facilities enabled, so if you want you can keep the original as a backup and just install and activate on the new machine.  If you haven't you need/want the installation more elderly service the minimum you need to do is turn it off (opening a program and choose Help-> disable to disable the entire suite).  This will give you back activation used to reuse elsewhere if you find a need.

  What browser do you use? I had some problems of my own with Tumblr, Google Chrome, and power draining eventually led me to dump Chrome when I realized it was hogging all my resources. I recommend also to configure tumblr to show you your dashboard in the pages of 10 to 15 positions rather than scroll without end - in this way, he does try to keep everything loaded at the same time.

  Since upgrading to Mac OS Sierra last night on my MacBook Air (2013, i7, 8gbRAM), fans work almost always, even when I use Safari.  Previously, the fans would go only when I was playing a game, or video edition.  The basis of my Macbook Air is also much more hot he was under El Capitan - once again, just when you use Safari.  As a result, my battery life is horrible - dropped from 100% to 23% in a little over an hour.  Once again, under El Capitan, if I was just using internet, use of an hour would see the maximum of 10 to 15% of decline in battery.

  I turned off my Macbook Air and it turned on again after fifteen minutes, but in 10-15 minutes, fans revived upward and the base (and the top of the keyboard) heated again.  No uncomfortable levels, but certainly noticeable levels.

  Just to remind - I use Safari only when this happens.  Moreover, since the beginning of this question five minutes ago, the % of battery has dropped from 29 percent to 22 percent and the fans are still whirring like the dickens.

  Thought I would get outside help. Recently, my Macbook Air has taken a long time to load things. Loading pages in Google Chrome sometimes takes awhile, and other applications may be slower. The beach ball has been appearing more frequently. I used Etrecheck to see if you can help me. Let me know if I need to provide more information. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome.   It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

  Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

  If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.
