    Right. Hello guys!

I did a downgrade, and while the XP installation went well. I can't get the correct drivers necessary.

Looking at the HP computer, it says "HP Pavilion dv9000"on the upper right side of the screen. However, on the underside of the laptop if there is the following information:

    "Product: HP pavilion dv9500 .

    Serial number XXXX XXX x

    P/n 959EA #ABU GZ

    "Maintain the label: dv9605ea"

I tried all the drivers for each of these sets, but they all seem to be evil.

In the Device Manager, all deivces in 'Other devices' do not work - I know that this is due to the lack of driver. [Audio processor co, ethernet controller, devide bus High definition Audio, device modem on high definition audio, sm bus controller and video controller bus]

Now my question is this - where can I get the right drivers I am after please? What model number is also my pc exactly?

Moreover, mine comes with an Amd 64 athlon X 2 and Nvidia graphics [driver for Nvidia graphics required too please]

I would appreciate your help please. I didn't know that decommissioning will be this much pain.

    Thank you.

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set the VIEW to hide

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.

    Hi jeyjey2,

Before starting the discussion on installing the drivers for your problems, post your model mobile exact. This is important because laptops are equipped with different hardware/drivers.

Additionally, make sure that XP SP2 is installed at least.

  • HP 15-g041AU: downgraded Win8.1 to Win7 and now need help to find the drivers

I didn't like Windows 8.1 and demoted Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, all drives in the formatting process. 2. Network controller
    3. PCI device
    4. PCI encryption/decryption controller
    5. SM Bus controller
    6. (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

I don't know if I'm supposed to provide the device ID or hardware ID so tell me please provide any ones.

And also additional things that I think are related to drivers

    • "The current video card can supoprt Aero with a driver that is compatible with the driver model (WDDM) Display Windows. I just do the graphics drivers on the page I put up? And who? Or is not serious?

    • Under components > Modem, there is nothing there
    • Under components > Ports > series, there is nothing there
    • Under components > USB, it says "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" rather than something more speciifc.

I compared these to my laptop which has fairly specific things written under these articles, so I'm assuming that they are to do with the right drivers? I just threw these here in the case where theres more underlying issues.

Also how one I would go about installing these drivers because the USB ports do not work? The pilots put it on a CD?

I'd appreciate any assistance because without them, my laptop is essentially unusable. Thank you very much.

  • Need help to get the drivers on my new E520

Hi, I just got my new ThinkPad E520. I bought new without any OS. I just installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, but now I have a problem because there is no drivers and I can't connect to WIFI to download drivers (as the wlan drivers are not installed). I tried to download the driver of my PC WiFi and put them on my laptop via usb key, but it did not work (could have been the wrong driver too).

So my question is, where can find drivers, I need and download them? I can't find that everything on the lenovo driver download page.

English or German?  I found the driver download pages for the two languages by clicking on "support" above and following the guests. "»  Either "Download drivers and software" on the left, or "driver matrices" in the middle of the page (in English).

The best way to connect to wired ethernet drivers and install ThinkVantage System Update.  Then run it and it should pull down of all other drivers and utilities.

If you use the WLAN, install the correct driver and then use wifi to install TVSU, and go from there.

You don't say what model E520 you have so I can't tell you what wireless card you have (and may not be able, depending on the model...)  Looks like you have three choices (even in English):

Intel Wireless LAN (11abgn, abg, bg)

    ThinkPad Wireless LAN (802.11b/g/n)

    Intel WiMAX 6250 AGN

  • Try to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium (x 64) on my desk. I need help to find the drivers.

    Some back-story to my question:

A month ago, so I decided to reinstall windows on my laptop which had become slow and unresponsive. I did it using the key USB Installer tool that Microsoft provides and a file ISO of Win7. I used my old product key on the underside of the laptop and it worked fine. After installation, I found I was missing several base drivers. Since then, I found a lot of important drivers (wireless, its drivers, etc), but several of the 'minor' escape me because quite simply, I don't know how to describe the issue that I have without them to Google. For example, my mouse pad is no longer scrolls when I slip 2 fingers down it at the same time, some site images do not load at all and rather simply show a torn file icon (I don't know if it's the associated driver, but it started after reinstall) etc.

I want to avoid these problems when I reinstall Windows on my sluggish office. Is there a good way to know what drivers I need? A list my computer can generate or one list of drivers ' required/normal' and other, I need? Or even a list someone else online of pilots, that everyone should have to use their computers to their full potential? I know that all computers have hardware different and like, but perhaps a general list of things you need to get with a new installation (that is to say, "get your graphics, sound, image,... drivers to a minimum, while that [insert here things] is recommended as well").

Alongside this, is there anything that this is another important thing I should remember to do when you install a new copy of windows?

Thanks, I know it's a bit of reading.

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site and search for Windows 7 drivers for your specific brand and model number.

If there is no driver, your PC may not work correctly (No. LAN or WiFi, Audio, USB, etc.) after the installation of Windows 7.

If there are Windows 7 drivers, then to download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, starting with the card drivers mother/chipset, LAN, Audio, USB, Graphics, SATA, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

You must use IE10 or IE11 to correctly access the support pages.

If you use IE9 then you need to make some changes...

    1. for pages works properly, you must use Internet Explorer 10 or 11.

It is a problem for some of us who climb to IE9 such as those who have Vista or a new install of W7.

The workaround to get IE8 or IE9 to access the page of the pilot is to:

    1. activate the command bar at the top of the browser (click just to the right and check the option of command bar).

    2. then click on the small arrow to the right of the Tools menu.

    3. click on compatibility view settings

4 uncheck use Microsoft compatibility lists.

    5. close and refresh the page.

You will probably then a message you must run IE10 or IE11, but you can close this and get to drivers.

If you still have problems with the page, so here are the links to direct download for the drivers, you need for the devices you have posted:

Note: The first 3 drivers I posted are not on any HP consumer notetook support page.
