  Unfortunately, a forum search has not revealed anything and since I can't find any way to report problems with the site of the developer of the RIM, so... here go us:

  As a first time dev, I just downloaded the SDK and emulator, the I tried to go through the "getting started" doc As a first step, it says:

  "Request permission to sign BlackBerry Tablet OS applications by completing the web form at
  http://developer.blackberry.com/native/beta/signingkey . After your application is accepted, youreceive two CSJ registration files by email. One file allows you to configure your keystore to sign
  applications; the other file allows you to create debug tokens. Each file arrives in a separate emailwith information about the purpose of the file attached."
  

  Well that's where I'm stuck already: after completing this form, when I hit the submit button, all I get is:

  So apparently some PHP - guy didn't properly test its code of form validation.

  Saddest:

  The link only I could find reviews of the website was. to http://us.blackberry.com/contact/ (mailto link [email protected]). And send a report to this address just resulted in a response canned (useless), saying that the mail was not delivered, and I should find an alternative care option (followed by several products related links).

  Well: I don't have a problem with products like software development kits, software, peripheral... my prob is the RIM site itself!

  So I hope that some members of the staff on BOARD reads this and can direct me to the appropriate Department...

  If you want each line of tt1 joined in its corresponding row in tt2, but if there is no corresponding row in tt2, you want to show data from tt1 anyway; Isn't it?

  That's exactly what outer joins have been designed to do:

  SELECT tt1.id

  tt2.names

  OF tt1

  LEFT OUTER JOIN tt2 ON tt1.id = tt2.id

  ORDER BY tt1.id

• Help with requested Blu ray burning

  I use for many YEARS now very successfully without any significant problem until I entered the world of HD and Blu Ray. My system specs are at the bottom of this post.  I've been recording HD for a few years now on my Sony HDV camcorder and rewrite the final production on HDV tapes.  I recently decided to move to the top and get a blu ray player, writer now that burners and media are affordable (well enough)... and the beginning of all my problems.

  Normally, I create 10 minutes productions finals about an hour of footage. However, after a 3 week trip to China, I have created a 50-minute production which I want to create a Blu Ray disc.  The production contains many transitions, titles and still images (taken with 10 megapixels).

  I can make the OK project although it takes a few hours.  However, my system crashes (blue screen) about 85% of the way through the Blu Ray encoding process.  I've split the 2 separate projects - one of 20 minutes and another 30 minutes.  20 minute we burn Bly Ray ok, but the 30-minute project still hangs (blue screen again) towards the end.  An obvious solution would be to divide the project down in to 3 separate projects and burn on Blu Ray 3 discs but this kind of ruins to the point of having a Blu Ray burner because I could created 3 AVCHD DVD discs instead.

  The problem seems to be the lack of memory.  The encoding process seems to work in space from 1 to 2 GB until very near the end, when the requirement of memory seems to soar upward to the 4 GB limit.  My suspicion is that first tries to use all of the system memory and tramples needs system thus causing the entire system to blue screen.

  I travelled through the forums and found that many users have had similar problems, but not found solutions.  A that someone managed to create a decent Blu Ray size disc of Premiere Elements - and nobody knows the minimum configuration to do this.

  Sony Viao VPCCW1S1E - Intel Core 2 Duo P7450, running Windows 7, 4 GB of memory with all works on the system c: drive.with 150 GB free.

  (3) choice of AVCHD - when my project, in about 45 minutes PE8 starts to become slow and unstable (is not surprising given the system I use) so I divide it into 2 separate projects and the only way I could find to merge into a single project was to convert each project to the HD file format that I could import them into a new project.  I used ' share PC / MPEG / H264 1920x1080i 25 '-this created a file AVCHD I could import in PE, return and then re-export.  How to create a HDV file (without writing back on tape and then reimport?)

  AVCHD is very difficult to change. Many users would recommend an i7 overclocked processor, sitting in a very robust system. Unfortunately, camera mfgrs. This introduces, but forgot to tell their clients that they would purchase a State-of-the-art, just computer to edit it.

  In regards to HDV, there is a FAQ entryabout this operation. I don't shoot AVCHD, so I can't guarantee this FAQ entry, but given that Steve Grisetti wrote, be considered as gospel.

  PS - Pre is designed to work perfectly with a length of projects (either) DVD SD, but it OK with BD projects now. Yet, when the duration of the timeline stands here, break the project into manageable pieces is the recommended route. It's one of the things I like about PrPRo - it uses sequences (think to of mini projects into one"master"), and I use them as my "chapters."

  I don't understand why it does not work. Most of the example that I always followed have given application which is two levels deep. For example:

  The above is the code snippet. This beautiful work as long as I use not an xquery query. But she throws a null pointer exception using xquery to the variable.

  I saw some in the qouting of document referring to variables would be sent as is (39.9.1 SOAP Services this section of the doc). You guys you will suggest work around or solution for it rather than hard-coding the new xml?

  I looked in 'view certificates' and 'validation', but I don't see anything to change or do... So, how can I accept this "new" certificate

  If your ISP uses self-signed certificates ask them when they intend to become a professional store. Free self-signed certificates are basically something that exists to allow analysis of configurations without fees to pay for certificates. This leaves a loophole for tight companies, generally jobs of MOM and dad, or firms, who are simply stretched to use the correct string of voting trust and pay for their certificates.

  Not properly issued SSL certificates requires no acceptance, that the issuer or someone higher in the chain of trust is pre approved by Mozilla. It is extremely poor security to allow users wont accept SSL certificates and they are not experts in these things and could easily appove a certificate that makes their raw text of communication to third parties.
  You are done better with unsecured connections, you're free of those signed. At least you know your vulnerable.

  However, if you go to the menu Tools > options > advanced > certificates and Tower of the verify option you could do better. They are not probably set up as they sign free. Other than the view certificates and remove all those that you already have for them.

• Miss me the network control Sm Bus Controlrer & Ethernet Control (x 64) on my Vista Dell Inspiron 1750. I tried Dell, but was unable to download all the programs from there. Please could you help me

  Please help my request. I need a "network controller" a "Ethernet controller" & "SM Bus controller". I tried Dell, but to no avail.

  I just carefully re-assembled my system, after that it crashed - ironically - all using a Dell Diagnosticts fix - it thing.  It is now up & running & wear well - almost - don't you miss the foregoing.

  Have had a terrible with her problem as soon as it is out of the box.  but am a 63 retirement & don't want to send emails-he & receive some letters she has good woman too - which was the reason why I bought this blessed 'time composter' as I call it, in the first place.

  I'm sure that Dell support can guide you through the process of installing drivers from the CD on the web site or resources. Of course, web site requires the use of another pc with internet access to download the files and run then the computer with any questions. I want to give you direct links for downloads, but it would be better just to have a technical support lead you, because they have even remote support tools.

  I will soon be administering a few databases Oracle (11g Rel2). Currently these DBs area in log mode archive with a backup rman in place policy.

  
  

  I don't like this policy and you want to use my own, incremental backups from updadateable, so this is the plan I have in mind.

  
  

  (1) disable mode archive.

  
  

  (2) a clean shutdown and take a backup to cold.

  
  

  (3) since after you disable archiving, backups RMAN ALL will be unusable, I want to remove them (including newspapers archive and backup sets).

  
  

  (4) after the correct deletion, set up some persistent RMAN settings, such as retention policy, controlfile autobackup and optimization.

  
  

  (5) turn on archiving

  
  

  (6) to set up the new policy based backups backup incremental updateable with duplex location for archiving logs.

  
  

  Help is requested on the best way to clean all the backups (3).

  
  

  I can manually delete the backups and do overlap, but according to the Oracle Documentation "Delete backup" will be delete all backups for data recorded in the RMAN Repository.

  I would say it is "the wrong answer to evil. When you disable log mode archive, you can only back up the database when it is stopped and only to restore and recover the database until the last stop.

  Looking at your plan, I wonder what you are trying to accomplish first log mode archive disabling and then enabling archive mode log again. Why do you think that this is necessary and what you're trying to accomplish.

  You need not disable and enable log mode archive in order to eliminate the obsolete achivelogs.

  If you are not satisfied with the retention policy, simply change it. All backups that are outside your retention policy will be considered as obsolete and you can remove them using RMAN delete obsolete, which will remove all files as well as the appropriate data backup from the RMAN Repository.

  For example you can archivelog delete all the entries backup and then delete the backupset or remove them at the OS level, do overlap and then use delete noprompt expired archivelog all.

  The retention policy applies to backup and archivelogs. However, you can have a separate archivelog deletion policy that applies to archivelogs.
