Help tool tip

Hello

I was after a bit of advice on how do I create tooltips.

I have thumbnails of different colors. When the user hovers over the thumbnail I want a ToolTip appears with the name of the color.

What is the best way to do it?

I got the job of the ToolTip - just need a bit of advice on the content of the ToolTip!

This is my code so far but don't know how to create several ToolTips:

You should do the buttons of all instances of a class that you write your won database.

They can send an event of the ToolTip, and then on your main timeline (or class of documents or where ever) you can listen for this event. Something like this:

Can I introduce the tool tip act as a Confirmation pop-up box?

My client wants a box of confirmation before a visitor downloads a file.
I can paste in the HTML code to do this, but then I can't control the text of the link text style unless I have add like a style on line in the embedded HTML code. Is not ideal.

You should be able to use jQuery to do this! Just create a link button in the target area of the light therapy device and remove all other items / pictures. In this way, it appears and you can click out of it! Check it out!

Tool tip on the APEX 32 implementation
Hello

How can I activate the control UI ToolTip help APEX points? For example if I move the mouse over a button, a description of quickie tool tip appears developing the brief description of the functionality of this button.

Usually, they appear in the color of light yellow background on traditional HTML applications.

tool tip memory leak

Seems to be leaking memory associated with ToolTips. Every time I put your mouse on a panel using tool tips I see case the dynamic memory usage constantly increases. If I comment out the call to the functions of the tool tip (i.e. SetCtrlToolTipAttribute), memory leak disappears.

There is no patch for 8.0.0, if it is tell you.

But from the Toolbox of the programming interface is open-source, you can easily fix it yourself:

The 8.0.0 3365 online version of C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\CVI80\toolslib\toolbox\toolbox.c, you need to add the function call following ListDispose:

Cannot remove SYSTRAY - TOOL TIP Windows XP

SYSTRAY-TOOLTIP, I do not KNOW this THAT it IS AND EACH TIME, I get ON MY COMPUTOR THIS COMES UP FIRST, I ALSO SAID to SEND or NOT to SEND to Microsoft, which I continue to make every day. Please let me know if I really needed this and how to remove it if I don't.

Locate the following key in the registry - (always back up the registry before making changes)

This works for Windows 7 and Windows Vista

Change the value to 0

Close the registry

Restart the computer

OK, so you don't have a lot of tools to work with, but there should be a file that we can push back on this issue.

First verify that this file exists
C:\Program Hewlett - Packard HP Vision material Diagnostics\DiscCreation\disccreation.exe

If this file is good then the next task

1 right-click on PC Tools folder in the start menu and open the location as we did earlier.
2. then to click right anywhere on the screen and go again shortened
3. navigate to the directory just above, and then tap on the disccreation.exe
4. name this "HP Vision disc creation Diagnostics"

From what I can tell this is the only file which is default in this folder.

The folder itself is just that support shortened by here I mean theoretically you can place a shortcut to any program on your computer and run it from that folder in your Start menu. So while is, by default, the only program that has been on this file at the beginning, you can choose to keep it the only program, or you can add more, you can even finish with the entire folder and do no harm.

Customize the tool tip Message
Hi all

I have a Date component on my page and basically I'm trying to disable the Saturday and Sunday from the calendar that I made using the disabledDaysOfWeek attribute. In doing so, I get a message by default tool tip (in bold) who says:

Example: 11/29/1998
Enter a date that falls on one of the following days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

So I want to customize it by deleting the Saturday and Sunday of the above message. I tried shortDesc which did not work, instead of this displays the typed message (United Nations in bold) with the "BOLD" above.

So, can I do this? If this isn't the case, I would like to disable this tool tip message.

Saturday and Sunday, must be removed by default if you set disabledDaysOfWeek = 'Sam Dim. " I had a similar request in one of my projects.
I am able to remove the ToolTip text of tool on Sunday. Here is my code:

Need help creating tip Action for Navigation "Inside-the-same-slide" to let the user Play slide again

I use 8 Captivate. It is a scenario of HTML5.
I have need of a button which will allow the user to "replay" the slide. I don't want the button to take the user to the front, back, or do anything else. I want the button to start the slide at the beginning and play without interruption until the end.
I am looking for help on how to do this using variables and advanced for HTML5 actions or, Alternatively, recommendations on the good tutorials for advanced actions. I prefer the tutorials that will allow me to start at the bottom. I was not able to find tutorials advanced action that assume no prior experience.
I know that each new user must say this, and I'm afraid that's true for me too. If I can't create a HTML5 work quickly replay button, it will get me in trouble with the client.

Try this:

cpCmndGotoSlide is a system variable, which the index starts at 0. The variable cpInfoCurrentSlide system includes an index starting at 1. The reason for the subtraction in this Expression. You need to add continue because a tip action will not release the read head.

Need help tool bar

I was using Illustrator CS5 last Friday without problem, then all of a sudden I lost the ability to use the top of black selection left arrow in the Tools menu.
Now, he will only select pieces of objects, but will not create a box for element move and resize.
Will there be a mater reset button to go back to return to the default settings?
Or does anyone know how I can get this back?

Display > display the bounding box.

You can of course use the scale tool to resize objects without using bounding boxes.

Help with tip Action - Hide caption does not

I am relatively new to advanced use of Captivate stocks (now using Cap5). I have a strong background in Actionscript, so programming concepts are not new for me. However, this relatively simple process has left me speechless. Here's what I have going. Using variables and advanced actions, I use multiple CHOICE answers as a matter of likert scale. I do this so I can send the user to a specific slide based on the culmination of a pre-test score and post test. So, in my blade of MCQ test I 5 responses and the value of each of them to assign a number to a variable, once chosen. That is to say. Click 1, strongly agree to assign v_Score1 to 1, click 2 are agree assigns 2 to v_Score1, etc. I then an expression that adds two slides responses (v_totalScore = v_Score1 + v_Score2). On the next slide, I show that v_Score1, v_Score2 and v_totalScore are in the legends. Then I have an action on a button that triggers another action called a_goToResults. a_goToResults is a fast action with two conditions. The first said if v_totalScore is less than 5 go to the next slide and hide legend blue (cap_Blue). The other condition is if v_totalScore is 5 or more to go to the next slide and hide the Red legend (cap_Red). Everything works except for the part of the skin. I named the legends and they selected in the drop-down list, so I don't know there are no typos. I can't make Captivate to hide the legend however. Someone at - it give me advice or know another way to do what I'm doing? Thanks in advance.

On which the blades are these legends? I suspect they are on another slide of the slide where the peak action is executed?

You can't show/hide an object with a tip action unless it is on the same blade where the action. I once blogged about display objects / masking. Perhaps it might help you:

BTW, my blog is almost entirely on stock advanced to CP5 and has links to articles which explain in more depth. I'm not a programmer, so maybe that's superfluous for you.

Glossary of terms as tool tips/roll over the legends

Is it possible to have my legend text defined online via tooltips or roll on legends? These definitions of terms / can be autopopulated by the glossary widget, I created? I think I've seen do Captivate but have never done it myself. Thanks for your help.

Indeed, a pop-up window is not possible with the interaction of the glossary. What might serve your purpose is to have a button (form) on each slide in which appears the glossary? Or even use the hyperlink feature to run a fast action which makes the visible glossary? Of course, you also offer the possibility to close. You can time the Glossary for the rest of the project, you can have buttons to form on the master slide or also synchronized to the rest of the project. Just an idea...

TOOL TIP does not work!

(1) now I can see the legend of an object/field as a TOOL of ART, fine.
(2) after that I'm in conjunction with the associated data source field, I also had the value of this object/field as ToolTip, fine.
I mean, not 2 tooltips at the same second, either (1) ir (2), fine.
But, the two work for ONLY the fields editable, ToolTip does not work for the "readOnly" fields (I colored the fields with the GRAY color)!
Pls let me know how can I get a ToolTip for all KINDS of areas, like, Greyedout, field "readOnly"... all the

Mix help tool

After using the gradient tool, I want to transform the lines and then sketch out the lines. How can I do this? Attached are two images. A display of the image and the other showing the image when selected. Only two beginging lines have a path that is editable, how I break it so all lines are editable.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction here.

I'm almost done a site where, on one page, I inserted a code of a ToolTip, I found on the net to create a reversal of some texts explanation.

The problem is that now I entered the code between the head of <>< / head > codes, it has lowered my banner, logo and buttons by a good inch, and I can't reposition to where they were. This look so bad if all the pages have been positioned like that, but when browing through the pages, this one page falls just and inch and looks unprofessional.

Any way to stop this code changes the shape and the layout of the page. I'm very new to css, so I'm struggling with some aspects.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
