• Help transfer software Photoshop of an old laptop.

  I have a new laptop and I want to load my copy of Photoshop CS for it and then maybe look into upgrading to CS6 than.  But, it was an upgrade from a previous version of Photoshop and I don't have the disks.   INSTALLATION ON ANOTHER COMPUTER:

  You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers of the same, as long as you don't use it on a facility at the same time.

  If must not already be used the software on the first computer, deactivate the license on this computer - How to disable the software.  This allows it to be installed on another computer at any time.

  To load the software on another computer, download and install it as you did on the first computer. Then enter your serial number to activate it.

  If you don't have the disks, you can download the software online:

  You don't move the Adobe applications, install you them, so get the installation files and install them as you did initially.

  You will also need your serial number to activate the new installation.  If you have not kept a record of it, you might be able to find it in your account Adobe online if you have registered the program.

  You are allowed to have two facilities enabled so if you wish you can keep the software working on the old machine.  If you wish to remove or disable it, you must disable (help-> Deactivate).

  You can do a few interactive steps by turning on step dialog boxes. You can therefore use your judgment to adjust the steps as levels, sharpening, curves, transform, change the text etc.  You can improve to buy stocks using some scripts in them.

• Photoshop actions does not!

  Help! I can't play any of my Photoshop actions! (I have CS5 extended and I'm working on an iMac)  They worked fine, now, for some reason, when I mouse over the 'play' button, I have a circle with a diagonal line through it. I tried deleting and reloading of the actions, but the same thing happened. I scoured internet trying to find a solution. I would really appreciate help with this question!

• Photoshop actions + Relinking image

  Hi all!

  I'm trying to optimize the way in which my colleagues and I add labels of our bottles. I have created a 3D tag and wrapped around our bottles. My next step in the process was to create actions that once played, all that was left for us to do was select the files that we want to apply our texture and save the files. The only problem I have encountered is that when the script gets to point d - link the smart object, it calls a dialog open as smart object, where we then have the opportunity to harvest to: Crop Bounding Box, media box, etc.

  

  What I would like is for this step to be fully automated, where once we choose the image we want to replace this dialog automatically chooses Crop to: Media Box, close and then fills the rest of the procedure of the action. I currently have this step by using the "Insert Menu Item' > 'Layer' > 'Intelligent objects' >"Recreate a link to the file"I tried setting up using"Action Record"but then he would always choose the same image to replace, I obviously don't want.

  What you show, it is an action, but you are referring to it as a script.  Photoshop scripts are different Photoshop actions. Scripts are programs. They are programmed in a scripting language, and unlike actions can use logic.  However, I don't know if what you want to do can be programmed in a Photoshop script.  I have not programmed in this area in lieu of a linked smart object.  Watching your action, it seems that you have inserted the element menu to create a link to the file.  This will be an interactive action step as you wrote.  I'm not familiar with this menu item.   Saving item menu differently when used in an action, then when it is inserted as a menu item.  When used they are not interactive step. Step can be hard coded to a particular file, however.   A script may be able to put in a file selection dialog to allow you to select the file you want to link. Once you select the script file may be able to recreate it a link to the file in a non-interactive manner.    If you change your action and uncheck the menu item from insert reissue so it does not get played and record a step when you using the menu item Insert the item.  When you have completed step if name path file etc settings get saved in step. Probably you can code a Photoshop script that will work the way you want the process works.

  You are not transferring Adobe applications between machines, it won't work.  You must install on the new machine in the same way as you did initially.  Your license allows you to have two machines with active facilities, so if you want, you can keep the old one as a backup.

• Photoshop action on DNG files

  I made a simple Photoshop Action that

  1 open a DNG file

  2 apply some settings to a 3rd party plugin (nothing to do with the problem I describe)

  3 save the file as a PSD

  When I run this action on a batch file DNG, Photoshop applies the SAME settings on each DNG file before steps 2 and 3 - these settings since the DNG file that was used to record the action are used.

  I wanted that each file in order to have its own individual settings preserved but is not the case.

  Is it always going to be the case during the recording of actions on DNG files or is there a way to prevent this?

  You should not need to use a step in your action if your using file > Automate > batch

  If you install on a single computer, you can go ahead and install it on the new given that you are allowed to have installed on two computers.

  If you have already installed on two computers you must disable it in the old program first, and then you can install it in the new computer.

  If you have installed on two computers and cannot turn off (bad disk hard e.g.), you can contact Adobe and let them turn off all your computers, then you can install it on the new computer.

• Transfer of Photoshop Elements?

  I'm not sure of the exact date, but one year or perhaps two years ago, I bought a Wacom Bamboo tablet that came with a code of Photoshop Elements 9 in an Apple store. I'm a big fan of Apple and I own a Mac desktop computer, so I installed Photoshop on this computer. I recently got a MacBook Pro, and I wanted to transfer the Photoshop from one computer to the other. I've looked everywhere but I can't find the code (I think it was thrown) and so I don't think that I can reintroduce. Is it possible that I could get out of this computer and photoshop? I already have the Tablet reinstalled on here I just need help with PSE9.

  If you have saved PES (I assume that, by "Apple Store", you mean a physical store and not the mac app store), you can retrieve your serial number by going to adobe.com and looking for my Adobe (last time I looked, he was in the top right of the search box, but it moves). Work through the links here to find your serial number. You will need your original installation media.

  If it is the version of the app store, you come to launch the app store on the new computer and access the procurement section and you can download it on the new computer.

• Run the Photoshop Action of the bridge on the raw files without creating a folder JPG

  I created a Photoshop Action that resizes and compresses an image (at 800 pixels at 24% quality). I want to run that Action of bridge on a selection of raw files. I have to do this, the bridge, select the images and select "tools-Photoshop-Image Processor". "In the window options 'Processor of Image', I put the folder to save the images processed, check the ' Action run" check box and select the Action but I have to check one of the 'file Type' (I check '"Save as JPG' with ' quality: 1" ") (it will run only if a"file Type"is selected), then click on 'run '. It then performs the Action on each image and I get the desired resolution file reduced and reduced the size of the file. The problem is that there also creates a JPG subfolder and creates another set of files also to the reduced resolution but the file sizes are larger than the game created by the Action.

  How can I run the Action without creating the subfolder containing the extra set of files whose size size JPG?

  I use v4.0.5.11 Bridge CS5, Photoshop CS5 v12.0.4x32 and Windows XP Pro SP3.

  Delete the file Open Options Dialogs (prevents the dialog box camera raw of opening)

  Delete (optional) color profile warnings

  Under Destination set to None (the files are backed up to where the files specified in the save for web (export) step and close step on the farm in action.)

  I use Firefox 7.0.1 on an old Dell with Windows XP Home edition machine. For years, I used Firefox to work on my wiki (hull.ac.uk/awe) without any problems. In the last month or two, the browser refused to apply the wiki markup in the way I used to see, unlike IE (7.0.5730.11). Hotmail also no longer works in firefox, though it's fine in Internet Explorer. (In a moment paranoid, I was afraid that Microsoft was blocking Mozille; but this seems unlikely.) Connections look good: it's just that the browser is no longer implements/displays the text marked in the way I want (and I'm used to) to see. I deleted some code/action unintentionally? If so, how can I return it?

• My 'C' drive is almost full to bursting. Can I transfer some of the old windows after have updated them my drive "D"?

  My computer shows that my 'C' drive is almost full and advised me to transfer some of the programs on. But going through the list, I discovered that most of the proms has in my 'C' drive are windows, most programs had been updated but with different codes. I want to transfer or delete, but I don't know which of them can be done safely without affecting my computer work?

  Hello PhilipTanams,

  You will not be able to move the files to the C: drive on another drive Windows. All Windows files must be in the C: drive.

  Method 1:

  If you have personal files or data, you can move these files to another drive that increases the size of the C: drive by adding
  Method 2:

  If you have any other partition which has an empty space in it, you can extend the C: drive by adding the empty spaces to the C: drive.

• PhotoShop 'Actions' and single name PDF

  Batch conversion of resizing and cropping of files PDF, Photoshop fails to appoint uniquely results with the name of the original file of documents. It replaces the output several times with the same file name. I can avoid this problem by having numbered file adobe instead. but I always lose the name of the original file. It looks like a bug.

  Even 'action' will correctly properly called JPEG & TIFF files (but not PDFs.)

  The work to seem to not use photoshop 'Actions' to PDF batch convert. use Actions that once the files have been converted to TIFF or any other format.

  You do a Save As in yourself, Action and replace this step and add something in the batch dialog box to create the name of the output file that is different from the name of document? You need to do if the file input and output files are one and same.
