Helps the installer kernel panic
WS Preview installation on openSUSE 12.2 milestone with kernel 3.3.0 worked great (that I posted). When you try to install VMware in Ubuntu 12.04 with kernel 3.3.0 I lived what "seemed" to be a required (video completely unreadable and frozen - mhard rfebootg) kernel panic. I have attached the vmware Installer log and may not know where the accident occurred. The compliation seems like he has not finished, but aren't errors (with the exception of the permissions that does not stop the compilation).
Is there a way to install WS directly depui the CLI? I remember messages that discussed this but I can't find it on google (for this product - no esxi or vvshere.
All libraries and files seem to be/etc/in/usr/lib seem to be present. What I'm missing here? It's very close. Where could I seek failure?
Fix vmware-Installer/going/log log

If so, it could indicate that you have problems with your graphics hardware. I DON'T know if this is your graphics card, so make sure that you can see a pattern in all your States of panic.

How can I reinstall the operating system with the recurring kernel panics?
MacBook 1.1, white, plastic, 2.0/2x1GB/80GB/SD/USB.
It used a lot, but want to keep going for special purposes. Get kernel panic/black screen when I try to reinstall the operating system on a blank disc; deleted before trying to reinstall Lion 10.7.3. Tried other earlier versions of operating system. Reinstall the memory chips and ordered new ones as a bet. Made a "Lion" partition the Middle clone backup FW for my MacBook Pro, but there now El Capitan; window said I have bad installer in MB Pro; Cannot install on this new FW partition, but I don't know if this will help anyway. Must be HW problem; nothing on the MacBook drive. Diagnosis I could not complete either. Impossible to wipe FW with the MB Pro, Lion and other stuff loading to attack the problem of HW? Don't know how to do in this regard. A new Disk Warrior 5 and old Tech Tool Pro. Apple HW Test on the original disc from MacBook will not appear either? Difficult OB! Challenge yourself, please! New mem circuits can do. ??
So I'll try to attack it from the external hard drive, of course, I have to. But how to find and eliminate the block HW? Finally, go ask Apple support.
It doesn't let me finish any operation!
According to Mactracker, a Macbook 1.1 is limited to Snow Leopard 10.6, as the new OSX compatible. Do you mean you had lion (10.7) installed?
Ciao.

Help decipher a kernel panic please?
I get panics from the kernel at startup to the top of my Mac Pro mid-2012. When the panic appears at startup, it asks me to press a button and it will then restart and launch. I have searched the web for the translation of the error log, but am not having much luck. In the system report my RAM slots all report 'OK' and my system diagnostics in the report of the so-called "passed." Panic occur at intervals that it hurts me a little uncomfortable at this point. I thought a kernel panic usually indicates a hardware problem, and that gave me a little scared. Thanks for any help to decipher it.
Here's the panic report, nobody knows if it points to the real culprit?

MacBook Air 2015 &; Dell U2414H cause the wake kernel panic
I'm new to a Mac. I just bought a MacBook Air (2015) that I use mainly using an external monitor (Dell U2414H) using mini Displayport. It runs on El Capitan. I have also a Magic Keyboard (latest model) and the Trackpad (first generation).
I got a kernel panic issue only when I am connected to the external minitor. When you use my MBA in itself, this never happens. I copied and pasted the below incident information. Could someone tell me what can be the problem cauisng? I don't know if the single Dell monitor is the problem. The tricky part is that the kernel panic does not occur every time that the MBA wakes up from his sleep. It happens unexpectedly. I put the computer to sleep using the command + Option + power (keyboard shortcut). Then, I hit a button to wake up without a problem. But sometimes, it crashes. Thank you for your help in advance.

The guarantee gives the right to the free phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the United States directly from Apple (not a retailer), you have 14 days from the date of delivery where to Exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you purchased from a reseller, its return policy applies.
B
Although it is not cause panic, I suggest that you remove the Norton/Symantec product useless in theseinstructions. If you have a different version of the product, the steps may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any product "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" again.

I have a late 2014 Mac Mini with fusion player who has become completely reliable last week. Have known about 12 panics of the core of the last seven days. What I've tried so far: 1) removed external hard drive 2) uninstalled Avast antivirus (this was installed last year and seems to have no connection with the kernel panics, but I uninstalled anyway) 3 checked hard drive - no 4) fixed error 5) initialized and permissions worked in SafeMode for once - eventually the entire system locked up requiring reboot 6) created a new user and logged under this account - always panic
So far, all the panics were surfing the web in Safari...
I had not loaded any new software on the computer at least 6 days before the first panic. No other programs (other than Safari) are running when the panic occur.
This is the last log of panic (they all looked basically the same, that is of type 14 = page fault)

I have a Cisco ACS 1120 4.2.1.13 running redhat, we had an outage this weekend and when I came back she said
kernel panic. Any ideas? Seems to be a linux issue not a cisco one.
Seems to be a problem with OS corruption, you may need to reimage the box with the CD recovery and restore of the database.

grid below 11 GR 2 helps the installation required
Mr President
I have some problem.do don't know don't not how to solve?
I need to install the Advanced installation grid infrastructure.
Scenario and question:
I have a raw(74GB) under the DSO on 192.168.1.13.but how to implement cluster is not under OCFS2, what to do (under OEL5.4)?
and in another machine (with ip 192.168.1.30) I want to load 11 GR 2 grid as well as 11 GR 2 db but how would you describe the disk to ASM-ocfs2 cluster? I had an a partition/dev/sda3 as LVM with two partion mounted /ASM1 and /ASM2 empty ext3 in this machine.what do?
concerningI guess this will help - http://blog.ronnyegner-consulting.de/2009/09/14/oracle-11g-release-2-install-guide-%e2%80%93-grid-infrastructure-installation/
-http://husnusensoy.wordpress.com/2009/10/30/how-to-install-oracle-11g-release-2-on-oel-5-4-on-virtualbox-installing-grid-infrastructure/To identify storage needs for the use of Automatic Storage Management, you must determine the number of devices and the amount of free space on the drive you need. To perform this task:
1. determine if you want to use Automatic Storage Management for Oracle database files, recovery of files or both.
Note:
You don't have to use the same storage mechanism for Oracle database and file recovery files. You can use a file system for one type of Automatic Storage Management and file for each other.
If you choose to enable automatic backups and you don't have a system of shared files available, you must choose Automatic Storage Management for the storage of files recovery.
If you plan to activate backups automated installation, then you can Automatic Storage Management as storage of file recovery mechanism by specifying a group of Automatic Storage Management disk for fast recovery area. Depending on how you choose to create a database during installation, you have the following options:
o If you select an installation method that runs Oracle Automatic Storage Management Configuration Wizard in interactive mode, you can decide if you want to use the same disk group Automatic Storage Management for data files and recovery files, or you can choose to use groups of different record for each file type. Ideally, you should create separate Automatic Storage Management disk groups for the data files and recovery files.
The choice is available if you are using Oracle Database Configuration Wizard after the installation to create a database.
o If you select a type of installation that works Automatic Storage Management Assistant de Configuration Oracle silent mode or in answer file mode, then you must use the same disk group Automatic Storage Management for data files and recovery files.
2. choose the level of redundancy of automatic storage management you want to use for each Automatic Storage Management disk group that you create.
The level of redundancy you choose for the Automatic Storage Management disk group determines how Automatic Storage Management reflects the disk group files and determines the number of disks and the amount of disk space you need, as follows:
o external redundancy
This option does not Automatic Storage Management reflect the content of the disk group. Oracle recommends that you select this redundancy when the disk group contains devices, such as the RAID devices, which protect their own data or when the database does not require uninterrupted access to data.
o Normal dismissal
To optimize performance and reliability in a group of disks in normal redundancy, Automatic Storage Management uses two-way mirroring for three-way mirroring for the default control files and data files. In addition, you can choose the features of mirroring for individual files in a disk group. You can also use the bidirectional or not mirror mirrored.
A normal redundancy disk group requires a minimum of two groups of failure (or two drive devices) If you use two-way mirroring. Effective space in a disk of normal redundancy group is half of the sum of the space in all of its features.
For most installations, Oracle recommends to use normal redundancy disk groups.
o high redundancy
The contents of the disk group is three lanes in reverse by default. To create a disk with high redundancy group, you must specify at least three groups of failure (a minimum of 3 devices).
Although disk groups high redundancy offer a high level of data protection, you must take into account the higher cost of additional storage devices before you decide to use this level of redundancy.
3. determine the total amount of disk space you need for database files and recovery files.
If an Automatic Storage Management instance is already running on the system, you can use an existing disk group to meet these needs of storage. If necessary, you can add disks to a group of existing installation drive.
Use the following table to determine the minimum number of disks and space of minimum disc required for installation:
The two Types of files the files number Minimum level of redundancy of records data files recovery
External 1 GB GB 5.4 GB 3.6 1.8
Normal 2 3.6 GB GB 7.2 10.8 GB
High 3 5.4 GB GB 10.8 16.2 GB4. If necessary, identify the groups of failure for devices of Automatic Storage Management disk group.
If you plan to use a normal or high redundancy disk group, you can further protect the database against hardware failures by combining a set of disk devices in a custom group failure. By default, each unit includes its failure. However, if two drive devices in a group of normal redundancy disks are attached to the same SCSI controller, then the disk group would become unavailable if the controller fails. The controller in this example is a single point of failure.
To avoid failures of this type, you can use two controllers SCSI, each with two discs and define a group of failure for the drives attached to each controller. This configuration would allow the disk group to tolerate the failure of a SCSI controller.
Note:
If you set custom failure groups, you must specify a normal minimum of two groups of failure for redundancy disk groups and three groups failed for disk groups high redundancy.
5. If you are sure that a suitable disk group does not exist on the system, then install or identify the drive devices appropriate to add a new disk group. Apply the following guidelines when identifying the appropriate drive devices:
o disc devices must belong to the user who performs the installation of the grid.
o all devices in an Automatic Storage Management disk group must be the same size and have the same performance characteristics.
o do not specify several partitions on a single physical disk as a disk device group. Automatic Storage Management expects that each device group on a separate physical disk drive.
o Oracle does not recommend the use of a logical volume as a device of automatic storage management, because the logical volume is able to hide the physical disk architecture that prevents Automatic Storage Management of I/O optimization across physical devices. -

Kernel Panic + no = RAM Startups don't have the culprit?
Hello world
I'm just putting this here so I can get advice from the community on the cause of a recent kernel panic.
About two days ago using my mac until I'm the standard "kernel panic" message.
After that the machine would not start to OS X or Bootcamp.
Give Apple Support a call in my country, to see if they could help, they suggested predictibly holding the mac of my service provider local mac (which I'm sorry to say it is hopeless).
My first thought was the logic board was dead, whenever I pressed the power button the machine would not give a startup chime, the map graphic would not communicate with the display, literally, the only thing that seemed to work was the fans.
I am the party for about 24 hours and came to him, this time, I noticed a diagnostic LED on the logic board was red, I Googled it told the LED must be switched off during normal operation and only lights up in case of a hardware error. The LED seems to indicate an error with the processor.
The next step, I tried removed all devices (no improvement)
The next step, remove the upper part of the two cards RAM; When I removed the card and tried to start the machine without the installed card slightly improved machine, giving a startup chime. Still no display or any other response from the computer.
Here's what I did then:
1. I tried to remove the last pair of RAM I have installed (I installed it only last year), this is the machine starts and the diagnostic LED on the motherboard remained OFF.
2. when I reinstalled the RAM the machine went back to not start when turned on.
3. then I tried rearranging the RAM so the suspect DIMM was on the lower riser card, remained light and the machine could not be started.
4. remove the suspect RAM has allowed me to start once more, and given that the memory has been deleted the machine seems to work very well.
I called Apple Support and said about what I had done, they seemed to think what I thought, which was 'Defective or broken RAM'; They suggested that I run the machine for a few days see if I get any errors/panic more with RAM on.
While I was on the phone with Apple I ran the Apple Hardware Test, he returned "without problems."
If fortunately I have a working machine once again, my question to the community is the following:
This sounds like a logical error processor or RAM? -I hope it's just RAM failed, it is easy to replace, however, a panel of logic or processor is almost impossible to replace with a machine as old as mine.
Thanks for any advice. I intend to run a test of 'extended' material now.
Here's my report from kernel panic:

help with Kernel panic on cycle sleep/wake
Hi, my rMBP was kernel panics/random stops lately, whenever I try to turn it back on to be asleep (on battery only) for more than 7-8 hours. If its clogged, the problem never happens. Ive done some basic troubleshooting (SMC, PRAM reset, repair permissions in the utility disc and in single user mode) which did not help. I run apple hardware test, standard and extended tests, which showed no hardware problem. I let the mac in safe mode for a day and a half, disconnected all the time, what more than enough time for the problem to recur and nothing happened. so I'm pretty sure its basic software, but I don't know where to start looking for what software error, there isn't...
I should also mention that I did a reinstall of Mac OS X without wiping my memory flash (from the recovery to the boot partition). My next step is to eliminate the computer all together and keep a backup, but one.) It's boring and b). If its software related to something that I installed it, if I reinstall my apps one by one, the problem will probably return, and then ill be at square one.
I will attach the last kernel panic I got under this message, if anyone can help based off I would appreciate it. Let me know if you need more information or have some steps to tempt me.

Kernel panic regular since the upgrade to El Capitan
Hello
I recently installed the new RAM and SSD in my macbook 2009 mid pro with the intention to give a new breath of life for a year or two. Worked perfectly until I decided to upgrade to El Capitan. Since then, I get the regular kernel panics - several times a day. Does anyone have any ideas, it could be the cause from the accident below report? A "fix" obvious would be to uninstall El Capitan in vain I naively create a backup before installing it!
MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2009)
Model: MacBookPro5, 5.
Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Boot disk: Samsung SSD
OS X Version of El Capitan 10.11.2
Thank you
Alan
