    Hello

If you look at the thumbnails in the Organizer, try going into the menu display and check that the Details and file names are checked. The name of the file and the date must appear below each thumbnail. If they do not appear, you may need to increase the size of the thumbnail using the slider to zoom (lower-right).

  • Media encode more than 7.0 does not recongnise SD images with the correct format of the pixels

    Hello

I logged this bug with Adobe last year, but even through the last versions else bug and is a real problem for everyone editing in SD via first Pro CC.

Effectvely when you create a PAL in sequence to breast of first Pro CC using SD 720 x 576 pixels (4:3) you have 2 options to export, the queue or export. If you export the images directly from the application of PP in MPEG2 SD, then the resulting files are perfect, however if you use the option queue and send to Media Encoder then the resulting files are misinterpreted and subsequently file looks like crushed. I suspect that the Media Encoder is defaulting to square pixels and not 1.09xx which is the default for PAL 4:3 SD

The issue only began on Media Encoder version 7.1 but I also checked 7.2 and it still has the bug.

I can't believe that's not making a lot of people and its takes so long to solve. Adobe at the time acknowledged the problem but did not provide a time scale to repair.

If anyone has the words of wisdom, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe I'm missing a simple workaround solution? That could be just export and NO queue, but because I use the batch function a lot is not always viable.

    Thank you

    Steve

And I already have a workaround for this one:

    1. open the preferences of SOUL

    2. turn off the power "import of the sequences in native mode.

I don't know yet why the native path is ruin, but this will get you fixed up without having to re - interpret each source file.

  • Saving images in photoshop in the correct format

    Hello

I'm working on a fairly large document in indesign cs5.5 (100 pages) and I place all the images that I need in the document and don't know what format I have to save the images and more. I've always learned to save to an eps or tif file because jpg is a lossy format. Designers more and more that I'm talking to say they're saving their images in JPG because of the size of the files, etc., that I understand if you have a large document. Any recommendations?

I created a guestbook of astrophotography, a few years ago.

It has about 100 images full pages.  My master files are 16-bit/channel PSDs, but when you work on the layout of book itself using Microsoft Word, I used JPEG 300 ppi images, recorded at a high quality level, for pages 10 x 12 inches.  Individual JPEGs were on average only 3 megabytes and change.

Even in JPEG the document done if large as Publisher (Springer) actually threw it back to me, arguing their desktop computers "were not at the height of the opening of a 340 MB file".  They demanded a version with images to HALF of this DPI value for the purposes of the review and drafting of the comments.  I was floored - it's no editor of small-name!  But I complied reluctantly, and he did a little more work for me that I had to replace each of the images.

He is found to have consequences.

I'll give you three guesses as to which version they tried and VERY NEARLY used to the final publication, and you won't need two of them.

By my own efforts HEROIC beyond, eliminating the editor as the intermediary and find a way to speak directly to the printer in India, I was able to get the right images printed in the final version.  Even then, it took 4 tries before they got each of them is good.

Moral of the story: think about who will receive this document and maybe even ask them what they need.

  • Small question. Can you recommend the appropriate software I can do motion graphics work? I am a dancer and want to make visual representations of our movement. I found a ted video and if you look at the specific 3 minutes 15 seconds of the video.

Here's that video I was talking about:

    YouTube.com/Watch?Feature=youtu.be & v = L8fHca3NWeQ

I have good experience as a photographer. Comfortable with photoshop and first. And I want to learn new software. I appreciate some guidance here.

As I said before, æ is your most profitable and powerful solution. Everything that you saw in a movie that has animated graphics or composition can be accomplished with AE.

Nuke, Houdini, or any other professional solutions vary from slightly more expensive way more expensive. If you do not go to work for a Visual effects House that does not specifically something like Nuke so I spent my time to learn AE.

Here's a quick example of movements using motion tracking AE. Real amateur stuff, but I think that's what you're looking for.

  • The Lightroom export file size: why it's so small? How can I maximize the picture quality?

My image file size is much smaller after editing and export through Lightroom. It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality? This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints? Any help is appreciated!

The file size is not an indicator of picture quality! You are looking at the wrong measure.

File size is determined by the number of pixels you have, the quality slider in the dialog box export and of a dozen other things, most of which you cannot control.

Want to watch the number of pixels (width and height) and not the size of the file.

It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality?

Not only is impossible, that it is also meaningless (see above)

This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints?

Instead look at the size of the file, you must look at the number of pixels of the exported photo (width and height), and this will determine if you get a decent impression. The usual standard is that you need 300 pixels per inch.

I have five-point-something Lightroom thing set up on a laptop and a desktop Apple computer. Both will import images from a CD or a DVD (I have my film scanned and the images on a disk). I can't change the images on the Mac, but I can edit images on the PC. What is going on? Also, when I try to export edited disk images, where are they going? I can't find them on my hard drive. Your entire development is off? You may be able to disconnect and reconnect. You can check this thread for more suggestions:

Lightroom 5.5 'develop module is disabled. Please renew your membership to reactivate the develop module.

I was expecting an error message indicating that the development module is disabled, however. If this isn't what you're talking about, please show us a screenshot of the 'dark' buttons

  • How to resize the print size of an item within my PDF to multiple pages? For example a receipt or another image that can scan in bigger or smaller than my 8.5 x 11 Bill?

How to resize the print size of an item within my PDF to multiple pages? For example a receipt or another image that can scan in bigger or smaller than my 8.5 x 11 Bill?

    Hello

In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

Try them and see if that helps.

Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

Please check and see if it suits you or not.

  • Panoramic of document while smaller than the canvas image?

    Hello

In normal display tabbed mode, whenever the zoom level is smaller than the canvas size, it seems that the Pan is not allowed. I had actually fallen on for Photoshop CC workaround before that, but he had lost the info after a re - install. I have for the panorama as shown with a screen of small image with just the SPACEBAR button before that.

Can someone show me how to do this again? Maybe some parameters of its file change or something?

If update or download photoshop cc2014.2.0, there is a new preference that allows to enable/disable the module

  • Image jpeg files too small shot of Canon 6 d

Canon 6 d only recently started to get incredibly small image files. When the large jpeg option, which should produce 20 MB files, the results are now between 5 MB and 4 MB image files. Jpeg image of small and medium-sized settings are also much smaller than what they should be. The problem does not affect the RAW settings.

I formatted the SD card and reset the camera settings without a bit of luck.

Everyone knows it / give me advice?

Not that I shoot jpg, but you never never have 20 MB jpg of your 6 d? Perhaps at the highest ISO in a dark place.

    Try this:

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Then:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
