can you help me to do this

Hello

>
You can control whether a specific column repeats and how column breaks appear when printed using break formatting attributes. For example, suppose that your report displays the information used by department number. If several employees are members of the same Department, you can increase the readability by specifying the Department number appears only once.

To create this type of column break:

1. go to the appropriate report attributes page. See "Changing SQL and reports of the Wizard".
2 go to break the formatting.
3. make a selection in the list of breaks.

  • Highlight a single row (Total) in a classic report

    Hello

    I have a classic report that towed unions, a select gets data and did a count, the other made a full count. Bascially, altogether.

    Is it possible to highlight only one line in Apex 4.1, 11g? Maybe doing all the "BOLD" line?

    You could do this in just a case statement, but what I'm trying to do is avoid the HTML characters when you export to CSV

    //you can simply do this, but when you export to csv this html will be exported along with it
    select column1,column2,case when some_condition then ''||total||'' from my_tab

    Hello

    I have a classic report using Break formatting (on the first column). When the report is exported, for example, if there are 3 lines that are in this group only the first cell is filled and the other 2 are NULL.

    Like this:

    rpt.jpg

    Users than the State of export, like this:

    rpt2.jpg

    One way to do that was to create a second report without breaking formatting set and fix the terms at a time so that when the "Download" link has been activated the second report, the report without breaking format, would go and download.

    My problem is that I forgot how to set the conditions for that to happen.

    Can someone help me to implement?

    Lol you would perform the calculations super aggregate in the report of export SQL using GROUPING SETS or CUMULATIVE instead of APEX report put break in shape.

  • Replace a string in a classic report

    Hello

    I have a standard report on a page.  Some data in this report must be formatted for display.  For example, one of the fields, a CLOB, may contain zero, one or several line feeds [Chr (10)].  I would like the report to start a new line and display a line empty each time as a CHRI10) is encountered.

    In a stored procedure, I use the following and it works fine:

    Select references1 in l_reading1 from myTable;

    l_reading1: = Replace (l_reading1, Chr (10), "< br / > < br / > '");

    How would incorporate this substitute in a statement select Classic report?

    Thanks for looking at this.

    Using this method, just include replace in the report query:

    select
        replace(reading, chr(10), '

    ') reading from mytable

    Set the attribute to text to display as column column of Standard report (or Type as plain text and escape special characters No. in APEX 5.0).

    However, the double break is an improper use of the br element and according to the nature of the data a single break can be as well. If the data consists of text paragraphs, use:

    select
        '

    ' || regexp_replace(reading, chr(10) || '+', '

    ') reading from mytable

    in the source report and add a style sheet to the page Inline CSS attribute:

    td[headers="READING"] p {
      margin: 1em 0;
    }

    Another possibility is to mark the data as a pre-formatted text so that line breaks are rendered as breaks:

    select
        reading
    from
        mytable

    with an Expression of HTML in the column attributes:

    #READING#

  • Sort a hyperlink column in the classic report

    4.2.1

    THM2:

    Hi I have a classic report with a hyperlink column. And I need enable sorting on this. What I did is

    Select '< a href = "somelink" >' | party_name | "< /a > ' party_name party_name table.

    However, I just need to show the hyperlink column in the report. Couple of questions

    1. How can I create party_name-based sorting logic using the updated classic sorting standard? Given that all a hyperlink names begin with < - sorting is random. I added the second party_name column an active by default sort on it, but given that the column can not be shown, is not a good way.

    2. I was wondering if there is another way to sort this classic report hyperlink column as shown in the hyperlink and sorting is enabled on the report?

I use the hyperlinks on query sql rather that the link of the column is because we have about 5 unions in this query from different sources and each of those interviewing him, having a hypertext link and additional formatting like "BOLD", color etc, under certain conditions. Query1 will return only the party_name, the second query United would have hypertext links, the third would fat etc. The union of the request is not made to take into account this feature, but because of the nature of the data.  While the apex feature works very well, the only question I hit is the hyperlink column sorting in a classic report. Where the simplified question. Individual responses, I've had have been very useful and have been applied successfully.

    In this case, the request for a classic report that has column link, how to sort would work it would be on a regular character column.

    Option 1 (deeply inelegant): Generate an HTML comment containing the sort at the beginning of the column value. The value must be sortable using the character comparison semantics, so dates must follow the format YYYYMMDD, numbers padded to the same length with zeros etc: Re: problem with the Date command

    Option 2A: Expand the Expression HTML technique described in your previous thread (marking dynamically of columns in a "BOLD" for the highest value report) to include the tags.

    Option 2b: Use the HTML Expression technique described in the previous thread to include custom data attributes and use these to add links to dynamic actions.

    If this is done on several pages, and then create a view all the necessary logic and the columns which you can keep it in one place.

  • Default sort of the classic report does not seem to work

    4.2.1

    THM 2

    I have a classic report consisting of an underlying sql with 3 unions. The columns include a party_name (varchar) and two numeric fields.

    for example only select total_cost, cost_to_company, party_name, apex_item.checkbox2(1,party_id)

    (

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    Union

    Select a.party_id, a.party_name party_name, a.cost_to_company, table a.total_cost when certain conditions

    )

    In our real-world scenario, these three applications are on different tables and different even if some elements are all the same (including the type of data, etc.), where the union

    Because I need activate sorting using the report attributes. I put the tri reporting attributes such as 1 - total_cost desc, 2 - Party_name growing.

    However, when we run the report, if the total_cost for different parts is 0, the sorting should be based on party_name. That does not seem to happen. It still sorts out randomly. I'm wonderingm if it's because there are trade unions and no order of in the query.

    No idea how to solve this problem?

    Nothing to do with unions.

    It looks like it is connected to your thread previous marking dynamically of columns in a "BOLD" for the highest value report. Is it? If so, where are the links generated to conditionally and other HTML elements? They are more likely to cause sorting problems. Instead of posting question after question about one aspect of the problem after another, you get a solution much faster together by creating an example on apex.oracle.com and specifying the complete requirements.

    This is because of rules CSS theme on cells and rows in the report fixed header table:

    {table.uReportFixedHeaders > tbody > tr}

    display: block;

    height: 28px;

    }

    {table.uReportFixedHeaders > tbody > tr > td}

    padding: 4px 8px;

    border-top: 1px solid #DDD;

    border-bottom: none;

    line-height: 20px;

    }

    I wouldn't really classify it as a bug, more as a hypothesis that the model would be used with data that will not be returned on multiple lines in a cell.

    It is easily fixed by substituting equal to line of table and the row height of the cells in the Inline CSS page, as indicated at page 586:

    {table.uReportFixedHeaders > tbody > tr}

    height: auto! important;

    }

    {table.uReportFixedHeaders > tbody > tr > td}

    line-height: inherit! important;

    I suggest that you create a custom report template (or several).

    No matter what I try, I can't get the embedded table borders appears...  The data presents itself, and its all formatted and aligned correctly, but not of borders.   Ive tried just about every report models...

    They are being replaced by CSS rules of the theme for the report model.

    The following is an example of my SQL: (obviously I would be inserting data in the tables at various points...)

    Select '

    All of these attributes of table are obsolete and should be implemented using CSS instead (unless you need compatibility with IE6 and 7?).

    I would appreciate if anyone knows how I can achieve this, (or ideas on how to create and invoice report type).

    Tables (especially nested tables) may not necessarily be the way to do it in 2014. Can you put an illustration of the required provision?

    Best way to get help with this would be to create the required tables in the DB with appropriate apex.oracle.com sample data and share identification information of developer comments for the workspace, so we could work on a custom report template.

  • Classic report region is not refreshing using the DA

    Apex 4.2.2 on Oracle 11.2 use EPG in Linux

    I have a Camembert and I want user to click on a section and refresh a report classic region under the graph on the same page.  I've used various methods to try to get this working, but none succeeded.  Here's what I have right now - when a pie is clicked, a value is returned to a text P19_STATUS field in the region of report using javascript in a DA:

    AnyChart.getChartById ($("#chart2_chart_object").attr ("id"))

    .addEventListener ("pointClick", Function {}

    $s ("P19_STATUS", e.data.Name);

    });

    It works fine as I can see the value that corresponds to the label in the chart.  I created a second DA with an event of amendment to article P19_STATUS. There is a REAL action - Refresh.  Selection type:, Region: classic report (40).  I put also enable partial Page Refresh Yes on the classic report and the elements on the Page to be sent to: P19_STATUS.  When the user clicks on the cake the value is in P19_STATUS, but the report is not updated.  FYI, I also tried $('#report_region_id') .trigger ("apexrefresh");  in the second DA but which doesn't work anymore.  I want only the region refresh, not the page.  Please help - I'm fairly new to Apex, so please be as detailed as possible.  Thank you!

    The missing part was that the report is a subregion of the chart area.

    Under regions have their own model of the region. Instead the use of models from the parent area area unit.

    Models of the region can be specified for the sub regions as all other regions. In this case it seems to be a problem with the sub-region model as it appears in the list of model as 48560037058667637086selection.

  • Header fixed classic report

    Post the source of the report query and the definitions of the report columns. How is the column without research capacity differs from the columns where they were provided. (Tip: search code is visible in the report source query.)

    Note that the 'Search' function created by the report wizard is very basic, and the implementation is ineffective when it is used with large data sets. Why it is essential that this particular column is available? Is what data in? How it will be sought?

    Access more information that fits on a single line of the screen without using multiple fixed lines.

    Background:
    Classic report with 18 data elements (columns) visible. At the search box, and the user can choose the number of rows displayed.
    Some data elements can be long (20 to 30 characters) compared to the width of the screen. The element more right data risk of 100 characters.

    Proposed strategy:
    (1) display the n first characters of the item (s) long in the report.
    (2) display the entire item onMouseOver.

    Proposed approach:
    (1) for each column with the data of type long, contain the integer value in a hidden item.
    (2) value of (hidden) long display in tooltips (bubble? / ball?) on this value onMouseOver.

    Note: It is not framed to help/Help for a column but the display of the value of long type for a particular element in the line of a column.

    Search feature:
    (1) to reduce maintenance, wants to set up for several columns using a single common block of code.

    Question:
    In view of the other approaches, you know, it's a good approach to achieve the goal? Alternative approaches?

    I added some old code, I had laying around. It adds a bubble that will stay for 5 seconds or until you click Next or move to another record.

    What I would do at this point, it is simply truncate the length of the Nm long to something short (with a substr). Use any indicator wished to hover. Like for example these glasses it's really up to you.
