  This isn't "machine code", it's like a JSON backup file is formatted (except it usually shows no line breaks, it's a long line when displaying in most text programs or in Firefox). Rename a JSON file as HTML does not work, the formats are completely different.

  The profile folder is located in a hidden place.

  You are missing a colon after the background color. It works for me, but I think the color gold-ish is burned in my vision now. My tastes are intended to soft colors - I use #DDDDDD for the background color of the sidebar.

From there, start the installation and choose to restore your iCloud backup device.
