• Use home sharing on iPad if iPad library is empty?

  Hello!

  I would like to use home sharing to listen to music from my iTunes to my iPad (MacBook Pro 2013) library. I have no music, videos or whatever on my iPad. Unfortunately, it seems that the button to access the sharing home from the music application ( here described in the iPhone/iPad) only seems to be available if you have at least one song on the device. Am I missing something or am I seriously have to record a song randomly useless on my iPad just to listen to music using home sharing?

• Cannot connect home sharing on iOS on iPad Air2 9.1

  Using iOS 9.1. Works great on iPhone Home sharing 5s and 6s. Now, suddenly, I can not connect to home sharing on iPad Air2. Says "unable to connect to the share of the House. I rebooted, signed out and back in home sharing in settings/music, reset network on iPad and rebooted the modem/router. I'm sure that I'm on the same network and the rest of the iPad seems fine.

  Called Apple and they seemed puzzled. Backup only I have is since this morning, after the problem started. I have a Time Machine backup, but no idea where to look for old backup iPad.

  Anyone?

  Problem solved by me. All I had to do was restart iTunes and everything works. Simple!

• ATV 4 Home sharing not showing upward after 10.11.14 / iTunes 12.3.3

  I don't know which update borked... my home iTunes 12.3.3 or El Cap 10.11.14 sharing capabilities. House share used to work before each update. I've tried everything. Does not appear in iTunes, my ATV4 or one of my iDevices. Sharing used to be an option on my iOS devices, but even this is no longer an option because it does not have access.

  Can anyone help? I can't look at one of my home movies, etc..

  You can listen to music, movies, TV shows, photos, and other iTunes content from a computer or device to your Apple TV iOS. The device and the Apple TV must be configured to use the same iTunes account.

  I have VMware workstation on a Windows 2008 host operating system 8.

  I have some linux guests for whom I allowed to shared folders and it worked fine.

  However, when the guests, I shared folders are not available.

  The option is not present under VMware settings

  You can enable file sharing to a specific virtual machine. To set up a folder for sharing between virtual machines, you must configure each virtual machine to use the same directory on the network or host system share.

  NOTE You cannot enable a shared folder to a shared virtual machine or remotely.

  1. If it is the domain controller, you cannot change the name of the computer by selecting network ID and this is normal.
  2. If it is a member of the computer in domain or workgroup, you don't have permission to change the name of the computer.

  Could check you that your home page has no parameter after the base address: http://isp.netscape.com/

  You can access in the Options dialog box, as described in: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.

  If it's already just the base address, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

  Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

  If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

  In your FaceTime settings, what you defined as "Caller ID"?  If you have set up the continuity (continuity use to connect your iPhone, iPod touch and Mac - Apple Support) and you have the iPad set to use your iPhone phone number to initiate calls, then you will need to have your iPhone and your iPad connected on the same wifi ntetwork.

  If you set the iPad caller ID to call from, for example, your iCloud email address, then this message should disappear.

  I have two 3rd generation Apple TV in my house and home sharing used to work perfectly on it when the contents of the copy of iTunes on my desktop Windows 10 streaming. But since than do a clean install of Windows 10 that has not worked.

  For home sharing work, ATV and iTunes must be on the same Apple ID This does affect airtime. Check the ID on your iTunes. You can find information here for help with home - sharing Apple support. Moreover, the firewall of the router, which focuses on internet traffic has nothing to do with it. The Windows Firewall must open certain ports to allow communication between different machines.

  On your music application, select my music down, in the middle of the screen there should be a dropdown menu with the Albums or artists or something. Click the menu drop down and make sure that only the downloaded music is not enabled (not green).

  I only sync the playlists.  All the songs in playlists are available and play in Windows iTunes library have been successfully synced and played several times in previous uses. After that iTunes install 12.4.0.119 and the next sync iPad 2 iOS 9.3.2,and half of my large number of songs in each playlist are grayed out and indicate 'Not available Element' when selected.  The songs exist and play in the sync playlists iTunes version.  I deleted all the music on my iPad and resynced with the same results.  All the songs in iTunes are MP3s.  I don't use icloud for backup.  None of the music is purchased.  The problem appeared after update of iTunes for Windows.

  I have the same problem with my new iPad Pro 9.7 inches!

  I use iOS 9.3.1 and latest versios iTunes and can not add music to my ipad, the cant sync music and movies...

  I think it's a bug with iOS version or iTunes bug...

  House-sharing worked well for awhile, but now when I try to access home sharing on my iPad app videos I get the small circle load to half way then I get a message that home sharing cannot be loaded.

  I did the following to try to solve the problem...

  1. reboot all my devices (iPads, iPhones and ATV 3).

  2. close iTunes on my Mac Mini

  3 restart my Mac Mini and restart iTunes, making sure that his signature in the home sharing (and ensuring that all devices are also signed in the House sharing)

  4 pull the plug within 10 seconds of waiting router (ASUS NT-N66U) back in and restart it

  5 reboot the router; and

  6. I tried ethernet and Wi - Fi with the ATV
