• Could not find Oracle supplied OLE DB in the list of suppliers for udl file

  Hi all

  I have downloaded ODAC112040Xcopy_64bit.zip of RTO and run the install.bat file to install Oracle supplied OLE DB as below. Then created a file udl on desktop and double clicking on udl file in the provider list, I am not able to see OOracle OLE DB provider. I checked that there are files OLEDB*.dll under c:\oracle\bin. and I can see entries in the registry entry.

  install.bat c:\oracle oadc

  Machine: Windows 7 (64-bit)

  You will need to run as administrator command prompt. I missed that. After opening :) as administrator command, then run install.bat it worked fine.

• Missing power supply Aspire S3-391

  Hello

  I just got my S3 of Aspire new-391 (NC-S3-391-53314G12ADD).
  The Quick Guide indicates that I must first read the installation Poster.
  The power supply is missing from the box!

  Does anyone know where and how to find the power supply?
  I'd rather make a configuration before the first use of my laptop.

  The box also says to check the content after the seal is broken.

  I guess that the checklist is on the same installation plan...

  My only advice would be to contact your local support center to see if they have a Poster of installation available for the system.

• Server R2 2012 crashing when you deploy the stand-alone host model.

  I encountered a problem with my server 2012 model deployment to a new independent host that I built in my virtual data center.

  Specification of the server:

  HP DL380 g8 linking the latest PSP firmware updates

  Local storage

  ESXi 5.5 U2 may 2015 HP build

  Card 8 GB SD for esxi 1.9 local TB SAS storage

  HP P420i

  Whenever I have move R2 server in 2012 to that Server Manager host down and other questions are noticed.

  Another noticed is characters and text on the virtual machine begins to blurr from the console.

  If I power off the virtual computer and move it to a server in my group I have no problem. Both servers are running the same version of 5.5U2

  Has anyone seen this problem before or suggestions?

  The result of more tweaks and troubleshooting exposed a faulty processor.

  This isn't linked VM.

  Could not understand even after going the Readme in the patch... Do I need to set the Oracle_Home new Oracle_home to /oracle/VIS/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3 because it is not specifically mentioned

  OPatch succeeded.

  This indicates that the hotfix has been applied with success - you can also confirm the same by issuing the command "opatch lsinventory.

  I don't know if it's the right way to do it. as a parameter the ORACLE_HOME to the new is not mentioned in the Readme of the Patch file
  Or certainly I could not understand... Please suggest

  As you have downloaded the patch for 11.2.0.3 you need to set your ORACLE_HOME to the 11.2.0.3 a. And the Readme of the fix for the 11.2.0.3 version clearly indicates (Product Version #: 11.2.0.3)-https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download?type=readme&aru=14211388

• Host dedicated to Oracle?

  Hi all

  I'm new to VMware and some people said when executing a database like Oracle as a virtual machine that you want to dedicate to the host of this virtual machine rather than running multiple virtual machines on a single host.

  For example, I have an Oracle 11 g VM running on a dual host with image Intel processors however the virtual machine uses only 4 cores and I would use the other carrots to another Linux machine.

  It's a bad habit to install other virtual machines on the same host as Oracle or other databases? Is there a good document which could clear this up for me that I can read?

  Databases don't result take the host and make it unavailable to other virtual machines, thinking that is a database needs as resource dedicated as much as possible, which is true.  But there is a threshold known as the "consolidation ratio", which means that MULTIPLE virtual machines running what is best practice BY heart.

  So if you keep the number of virtual machines at a moderate level, you should be fine.  Also the VM will not be able to take full advantage of the speed required for SQL or Oracle, in order to add more vCPU in a VM DB will not help you.

  I find that just do 2 vCPU in a virtual machine is sufficient.  I even proved it recently by launching a SQL (2 vCPU through 4 drive SAS internal) tool was more than enough to support high throughput, making more than 2 vCPU had no performance increase, but adding more vCPU increases the load of the host, which will limit the number of virtual machines (and the ideal performance impact) which can work to the host.

  Also do not put Oracle under Windows, if you are running Windows run SQL, Oracle should be a Linux VM.

• Multitrack models missing in hearing CC

  Hello

  I am new to hearing and work through the book of the IPC.

  When they describe the configuration a new multitrack Session, he says to select a particular template.  However, I don't seem to have this option, a drop down with 'None '.  I'm assuming that there should be a few models and the link has somehow become broken but looked in all of the usual place (Windows 7 64-bit system) and can't seem to find them.

  Has anyone encountered this or am I missing something really obvious?

• OATM (model Tablespace Oracle Apps)

  We have recently improved our 11.5.9CU2 to 12.0.6 for testing purposes. I have a question for clarification regarding the migration of "existing objects" to the new OATM.
  
  (1) the supplied Oracle tablespaces / items not migrated as part of the upgrade? All we have is two non-Oracle provided tablespaces, must upgrade not handled everything?
  
  (2) the only non-oracle provided tablespaces (two of them) we are for our Discoverer for the purposes of tax. I assume that these need to be migrated on - that's to be expected.

  OATM is required for upgrade 11i to R12 (refer to the same note referenced in my previous answer-* (5) is compulsory OATM for R12? *). Thus, converted to OATM and then proceed with the upgrade.

• AMD usb 3.0 host driver missing win7 64 bit

  am annoyed by windows so retrograde 8 to Windows 7 ultimate now I can't get the driver to install.

  P.S. I tried to use amd driver but I get this error.

  You don't mention what model of PC you have.

  Here is the link to the W7 x 64 driver chipset AMD you need that will install the USB 3.0 controllers.

  Download and install the first file listed.

  Some of the newer models have a problem with the above driver.

  If the driver above fails to install USB 3.0 controllers automatically, you will need to make some minor changes to the driver.

  Muse allows you to host your site with an outside provider using two methods from inside the muse. These methods are:

  • Export your site in HTML.
  • Export via FTP to an external server.

  Before you can perform any of these options, you will need to set up a hosting account with a hosting provider, e.g. 1 & 1. Once you have this set up, 1 & 1 will provide you with your own server (that they host for you) that you load your site. First, you will need to purchase a domain name with them and they will go through you how to bind this field to the folder on your FTP server.

  Once you have everything set up through 1 & 1, you can export just your site via FTP by entering the details of your server and the folder. Once it has exported your site will be visible at the level of the domain that you have purchased.

• Missing Oracle services

  Hi all

  I installed Oracle 11 g XE on my laptop Windows 8 and it worked perfectly.

  I came to use the other day, and the database would not start. When I explored,

  I discovered that the Oracle Services are gone.

  Also, the registry for Oracle entries seem to have disappeared.

  Database files, program etc. files are all there.

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 (official release) but I don't know if the two

  are related.

  What I hope is a way to get the existing database running - I kinda

  the work done in the database that I don't want to lose by deleting everything and leave.

  I tried a repair install, but nothing has changed.

  In version CC2014.2 of the program it has no place in the box "Download of FTP" to enter your host directory.

  I was in a similar situation. I think that you must update now to 5.5 to get air for android extension. I have it on my system and with 5.5 works perfectly, I couldn't upgrade without having to pay for the extension of my cs5
