  HI, I'm quite new to working with flash and I'm having some trouble with something.

  I created a button and when the mouse hovers over the button it is supposed to appear a text box, and it does. My problem is that if the rolls the mouse over the place were the text box is supposed to appear, it will be displayed. I am myself explaining right? I want just the text box to appear if the mouse is over the button, only the button. Thank you

  Make sure that your text only exists in the framework more and none of the others.

  I made a map in flash with icons when you hover over it, you see a picture and when you click on it, you go to another frame. This generally works very well, but I'm getting reports of users that sometimes it does not. They scroll over a link and it shows a different name or click on something and are directed to the wrong framework. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

  It seems that you are using an older version of Flash to create this, which produces the old style of dipping of code for the html file - which is perhaps not compatible with newer browsers.  Since you seem to be indicating that he might be browser related, the embed code is usually the culprit because the Flash is generally independent of the browser in terms of functioning properly.

  I created a newer version (but not the most recent...) I have CS3) version of the incorporation of code that you can try at which I've linked below.  It requires the support of a javascript file that is also included.  Try to use this html file and see if the problem persists - if not then you can copy the code into your existing html page instead of what is there now.  The js file will have to sit in the same folder as the HTML.

  I have a movieclip as a button in a slide show. The movieclip instance name is tmb1_mc. The second image in the movieclip is a little brighter than frame 1. How can I write a function to go to the second image in the movieclip and another to go to frame 1 when the mouse takes place?

  I'll answer one of your three messages that asked this question.  If possible, please remove the other two.

  Hover and dragging moves the axis as it should.  The cursor turns into a hand to indicate the area brushed, it moves.

  Hover over the pin code, press the Alt/Opt key and drag left and right and the effect will become less and more.   The cursor turns into a two-headed arrow to indicate that the function of the drag has changed.  If you are not hovering over a pin code and press the Alt/Opt, then the cursor turns into a brush to erase to remove the adjustment every time you paint.

  I converted a PowerPoint document in PDF format. The PowerPoint includes images (GIF, JPEG). When I move my cursor over the image in the PDF I created, I see the path to the file C:\User\User Name\Photo\File Name.JPG.

  Is there a setting in the PDF file that I can "unselect" so I do not see the path of the file when I hover over the images?

  Assuming you are using Captivate 3 or 4 Captivate, you have an object known as a 'slidelet"can be used for this. When you insert the slidelet, you get two areas. One is the area that you hover over. The other is what appears when you hover over the other domain. In the box that appears you can insert images, captions and other elements.

  (1) your transitions have a very wide range in pixels (about 1400, why so much?) in a very short time (why don't you start not to 0 ms?), so that there is no visible sliding of the graphics and the interpolation makes disappear instantly!

  (2) sym.getSymbol("ro_contact"), but you have no ro_contact symbol! You must encapsulate the ro_contact existing items in a symbol and build two States labeled normal and hover (or what you want).

  (3) mouseout/mouseouthandler() and mouseover event handlers are not attached to the item well: it should be ro_contact instead of menu_contact. The element that is hovered over (ro_contact) change its status to get high. The other element (menu_contact) is revealed (show()).

  You can not (can, but it won't work) and do not need to put the code inside the key.  The keys inside the button images are Visual elements only.  A button on its own will do what you are trying to do with the code and two buttons, a button animate itself based on the interaction of the mouse.

  Create a new button symbol and the Explorer.  It has 4 frames.  Each image represents a different interactive state.  Draw something colored differently in each image and then play your movie and see what happens when you use your mouse with it.

  Note the fourth framework sets the affected area, which is not a visual element, but is used to defined where the button begins to interact with a nouse.  So you could do something larger in the frame if your other button designs happen to be small... works well for text and buttons.  Another feature of the clicked image is that it can be used to create invisible buttons... If you only place something in hit, the button is invisible when played but fully interactive.

• When I use the pointer to hover over a button or a link, I used to see a description of what this button (on a Web page) or a brief overview of what was in this link. I lost this feature, please help.

  This just happened today. If you scroll over any part of the page, you will see a blank dialog box. If I scroll over the icons on this page, the dialog box is empty, it would show in the past that meant the icons. Help, please!

  Known to be caused by the extension of the Google toolbar. Disable it and the ToolTips should reappear. You can check and make sure that you have the latest version of the GTB.
