How can I add a grass texture to a selection in a photograph?

Usung Photoshop CS5 Extended in Windows 7 on a PC, I would like to make a selection and add a texture of grass in a field, that I painted.

I went to filter-TEXTURE-mapping texture - but do not see a grass texture I can add to the selction as I can canvas etc.

(1) is there a way I can add more textures to the texture veneer? Please indicate how?

2) I found ways to create the texture of grass for example onlinehttp://www.ehow.com/how_5018687_create-realistic-photoshop-grass-textu re.html

but he didn't tell me how can I apply to a selection that I created that has a variance of color tones.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Susan

After the grass as in the link above, you will probably have to crop the image

If the grass is square and seamless.

Select the Rectangle tool and choose the size fixed and enter 512 px x 512 px.

Then on the image of grass, just click with the mouse and you will get the selection.

Move the selection from the edges and go to Image > Crop.

To use the grass texture for the veneer texture filter, flatten image and save as a psd file.

When you open the veneer texture, use the arrow flyout (load texture) to select grass of

where you saved on the disk.
