How can I add a picture to the catalog?

Usually, when I edit an image in Photoshop from Lightroom, I save the modified image to Photoshop in a folder next to the originals that Lightroom shows, and the modified version is suddenly added to my specific shooting pictures of the day (I keep separate shoots into separate folders.) This was very much because I see everything I've done, including the files modified in Photoshop in Lightroom. But today, I think I did something to shake up Lightroom:

I think that I made a mistake in how I managed a single image. I sent him to edit in Photoshop from Lightroom, I saved then the picture changed again from Photoshop to a folder "modified" and then, back in Lightroom, I decided to delete the original image that has changed just because the modified version of Photoshop is the only one I wanted to keep. In Lightroom, it seems to have depended on to keep this old file as 'connected' to the modified version, because now, the modified version is not displayed.

To make it simple - I just need to know how make the updated Photoshop image appear in the catalog, just so that I can keep track of it of in Lightroom. I watched 'Import' and who does not resemble what I want (too complex). Can you tell me how I should handle this?

TIA,

Ken

It is not clear from your post if your modified file is already in LIghtroom or not. If it is then you can simply select it, and choose folder synchronize from the menu library . The modified file is not already in Lightroom, you use the import of the disc.
