How can I avoid "save to account online?

I work on a MacBook Air with OS X Yosimite 10.10.2 and using Adobe Reader 11.0.10.  In my view, there are plug-ins dated on 12-12-14, which allow "files any where".  Everything worked fine until I tried to save tax documents of my daughter on her Web site companies.  I was unable to save the docs and was sent to the Creative Solutions Web from Adobe page where I had to set up an account and a password.  Apparently, I had downloaded software (no fees sent to my knowledge).  Now, when I scan a document and try to save it, 'Save account online' is checked.  I don't want to save my docs about an online account.  How can I avoid "save to account online?  I need to send files to another party and I don't want that they have to go through that either.  Thanks for any help.

OK, unless you actually specify an online account to save on so it won't save for anything other than your local system.

To access your folder "Independent contractor MWA" click the arrow next to the file name.

Then you will see where you can browse your local system to save the file.
