How can I determine if a disk Windows XP Professional 32-bit or 64-bit?

I have a Windows Vista laptop and an iMac 27 inches for the material.  I loaded XP Pro for renovated Windows PC (includes Service Pack 3) on my MAC and MAC says I need WINDOWS 7. I am trying to eliminate the reasons why WINDOWS will not merge to MAC OS X via Boot Camp drivers.

Only some imac can run XP.  Check the specifications of your system here
