  • How can I disable default ContextMenu?

    Hello

I learned development BlackBerry and am in the middle of writing my first important application. On the main menu of my application (or any extended screen screen, actually) when I click on a part of the screen that does not contain a control, a menu appears with the options Application Switch, keyboard Show, closed and full Menu.

I don't want to remove these in the regular menu that appears when you press the BB button, I just want to stop that contextmenu of popping up when you click on the screen. I tried to set NO_SYSTEM_MENU_ITEMS in the constructor of the screen, but who does two things, I don't want: default menu items are removed from the BBKey menu, and context menu always opens with only the item of Menu "complete."

Is there a way I can just disable the contextmenu to appear? I tried to replace makeContextMenu but this does not seem to have any effect.

    Thank you

Oh just to clarify a few things, because I fear that we are not understand your problem correctly.

When we say contextmenu, I usually do this to mean the menu that is associated with the context, i.e. the thing in short.  Thus, for example, when a field Edit is to the point, a contextmenu will include "clear field".

However in this case, it is not what you seem to mean.  The context menu that you speak here looks the the menu that is called when you press the trackball.  This isn't a specific context of the field menu.

I think you can remove this menu in two ways:

    (1) override navigationClick, but I don't really know where you want to do.

    (2) ask your makeMenu check the instance (the second parameter).  The invocation of lick trackball has a different value, sorry don't remember what it is.  But the invocation of menu keys has a 0.  If instance properties not 0, calling super.makeMenu and this will remove the default menu items.

I suspect you want to use navigationClick, but I don't really know how to implement this and do not have time to test.  But stick one of these on your screen and see when it is called and what is removed if you return the value true (which means that you have used the click).

Hope this helps, or clarifies a bit.

Not really. Some obsolete sites may have a "Better known with Internet Explorer" note somewhere, but even those who might very well work in Firefox.

    • You can open Internet Explorer within a tab in Firefox using an add-on like fire IE.

Creating a profile will return all of your default settings of Extension/add-ons, you will need to re - install the Extensions/additional custom modules in the new profile

Most of the settings that you have probably set different values are in about: config, then filter = network.http (I watch 24 elements in Firefox 6, all with the 'status' = default)

    • Those that are displayed in the lower panel in fat and as a user set are items that have been modified by you and/or an extension/add-on.
    • You can right-click on these elements, in your case those typically shown as "whole" types and choose "Reset".
    • Those who re - appear after restart of Firefox are possibly be changed/added by an Extension; There were / are many extensions to change these settings
    • After "Reset", not with an empty value (there should be none in network.http unless you added), will be deleted when you restart Firefox. those are elements that are not the default set of preferences hidden in your version.
    • Make a list of what you change hidden preferences (topic: config) so that you can reverse these changes later if needed.
    • List of preferences network.http: _ http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox: _FAQs_:_About:config_Entries #Network.
      • The list is not entirely current or complete, but is the best we have at this moment
      • Do not add new products to your preferences, unless you know what you're doing
      • Do not delete all the elements of your preferences, unless you know what you're doing
    • See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config

  • How can I disable the suggestion to "Improve Firefox" which appeared after the update of FF8? No any choice allows to avoid the appearance of popup the next time.

I use FF8 with Selenium RC test infrastructure. When I installed the last update of FF contextual dialog YesNo "You want to contribute to improve..." ' began to appear before each test is run. Thus, the test stopped running on this popup and my problem is that I can not disable this popup for next time. I want to say I select Yes or no, popup disappears, but still appears in the next round of tests. How can I disable this popup at all?

Hi guys! Thanks to all of you for the cooperation and ready to help. I have summarized all your advice, so the following 3 steps unravel the problem for FF8 and do my tests to run fine:

    1. Create and configure a new FF profile, using these instructions and suggestions . Don't put your FF to the default profile at the end.
    2. Then follow the first 6 steps by SafeBrowser (see above) to the new profile. Switch to the default profile (in firefox - p).
    3. Don't forget to use your new profile when you run the selenium Server (-firefoxProfileTemplate command line parameter) or the value of selenium to use this profile when starting a browser to Salenece.
