  If you have windows 8 (not pro), you may need to use this method - opens the box run and type:

  control userpasswords2 in the box. Go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the Ctrl + alt + del requirement. This method also works in pro. While you're there, try to uncheck users must enter a password.
